Abstract

Selling is one of the main goals of a company after producing its goods. The more goods sold, the more economic value the company is selling. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine how much the rate of increase or decrease in the number of book sales at the publisher of Erlangga Pematangsiantar is in the form of prediction. This study uses an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) with the Backpropagation method. Backpropagation is a method that is often used for prediction. The research data is secondary data (sales data) sourced from PT. Publisher Erlangga Pematangsiantar from 2013 to 2017. Data is divided into 2 parts, namely training data and testing data. There are 5 architectural models used in this study, 3-9-1, 3-11-1, 3-15-1, 3-30-1, and 3-31-1. Of the 5 (five) architectural models used, the best architecture is 3-11-1 with an accuracy rate of 80% and MSE 0.13001601. So this model is good for predicting the number of book sales at PT. Publisher Erlangga Pematangsiantar.

Abstract

The study aims to describe the role of parents in realizing a digital literacy culture for early childhood. The object of research is in-depth, based on analyzing detailed comprehensive studies of various content, the role of parents in assisting children's digital literacy. The research has the scope of basic analysis based on the study of the role of the family in education, the role of parents in learning assistance and digital literacy in order to realize a digital literacy culture for early childhood. The analysis requires realistic critical thinking, for the sake of applying concepts to historical periods, both past and present, so that it is appropriate to apply the historical approach, characterized by the dominance of realistic critical investigation of the development of thought or terms, while primary information sources are used as primary data. Collecting data to make optimal use of the research library, reading various literature. Analyzing research, fully using descriptive qualitative analysis, based on various sources of analysis of theoretical reading, research and non-research. Research occurs in the dominance of descriptions of factual facts, to obtain solutions to various problems in social phenomena. Research validation requires the application of content analysis, to analyze the meaning of various concepts in the research being carried out. Observation of the role of parents for learning assistance and digital literacy of children, empowered every day as the most important element to support theory construction. The results showed that the involvement of parents in realizing children's digital literacy culture is very important for the development of children's potential. The process of digital literacy education from an early age is very positive and constructive, it must be carried out continuously and in a structured manner, starting from the family environment, educational institutions, society and government, providing facilities, expanding access to information sources and learning resources, increasing public participation, strengthening governance and managing people's roles old.

Abstract

Melon cultivation is not easy and requires intensive handling because melon plants are sensitive to environmental changes and are susceptible to disease. The use of Chlorella pyrenoidosa microalgae-based fertilizer is one of the breakthroughs that have been made by researchers in helping melon cultivation. This microalgae fertilizer is intended for nutrient fulfillment as well as controlling soil pH. People are still very unfamiliar with the use of this Chlorella Pyrenoidosa microalgae-based fertilizer. It is necessary to carry out further analysis of the use of microalgae Chlorella Pyrenoidosa as fertilizer, especially for use in melon cultivation. The analysis carried out was to see the results of the preference test based on the organoleptic test of the melon itself with the use of Chlorella Pyrenoidosa fertilizer. It is intended that the community, especially melon farmers, can have more knowledge about this microalgae-based organic fertilizer. The feasibility test of the results was carried out by the organoleptic test method on 30 respondents with different age variations on the preferences for melons produced by each treatment. Organoleptic test includes testing of the color, smell, taste, and texture of each melon produced by each treatment. Organoleptic data were analyzed using SPSS using the One Way Anova method and followed by Duncan's analysis. The use of Chlorella Pyrenoidosa microalgae fertilizer did not have a significant difference to the organoleptic test on its use in melon cultivation. This can be used as an option for farmers to use Chlorella Pyrenoidosa microalgae fertilizer as a substitute fertilizer for melon cultivation.

Abstract

TPD was a physiological caused by overstimulation ethylene an overproduction of reactive oxygen species (ROS). As an adaptive response, plant produce antioxidant such as secondary metabolites one of them was ascorbic acid (AsA). Exogenous application of AsA has been very effective in improving plant growth and development by altering oxidative defense system and induction of tannin synthesis in response to environmental stresses may also indicate potential functions. These Research aimed to provided activity of ascorbic peroxidase, tannin and production in Hevea brasiliensis Clones PB 260 affected Tapping Panel Dryness and to find the effect of ascorbic acid on production latex in in Hevea brasiliensis Clones PB. The research was conducted in rubber plantation of Sungei Putih Research Institute, Deli Serdang Regency North Sumatra with PB 260 as clone were planted in 2006 to 2007 at ± 54 m above sea level. The interval for treatment was once a week for 4 months. The observation was made 4th months after first application. The parameters observed were production, the activity of Askorbic peroxidase and tanin. The result showed Applicated ascorbic acid 150 ppm can increased the production of latex and tannins in rubber plants that are exposed to tapping panel dryness (TPD) but reduced the activity of the ascorbate peroxidase (Apx).
