Abstract

It is undeniable that during the Covid-19 pandemic all community activities  are limited to direct interactions. One of the limits of activity is in the area of library services, where there are two services that libraries have to offer: physical  lending  and electronic  lending. There are several barriers that libraries encounter in relation to e-book lending services. For example, low technical proficiency, limited equipment and infrastructure, internet network, and cost. Therefore, in order to solve these problems, we applied the method of user-centered design to system development, built a user-friendly and user-friendly mobile-based electronic library, and built visitor-library relationship management. The development of this library service system application uses a linear sequential method (waterfall). The waterfall methodology is a systematic, sequential software development method that starts at the system level and progresses through analysis, design, code, testing, and maintenance. Below are the stages of the waterfall model. E-library results have several features for restricting access rights, such as: B. Limitation on number of books and loan period. The resulting application has the main function of being able to protect your digital works in use. That is, restricting borrowed digital works to specific devices.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the library collections of UIN Sunan Gunung Djati Bandung according to the National Library-University Standard (SNP-PT) and the Standard for Libraries in Higher Education. The research method uses descriptive qualitative. Data were collected by observing, in-depth interviews, analysis of various related documents, field notes, and triangulation. The results of the analysis show that based on the SNP-PT standard, the collection indicators that have met the standards include type and number, development, collection of local content, reference collection, and processing. The indicators for re-counting, weeding, preserving, and converting book collections to digital format have not been carried out as stipulated by the standard. Based on the Standard for Libraries in Higher Education, the collection indicators that have been met include the type and format of the collection, access to the collection, and the uniqueness of the collection. Meanwhile, the indicators for the availability of collections, processing infrastructure, information literacy, and the availability of long-term access have not met the standards due to the limited budget and number of human resources with special competencies in the field of information literacy and media transfer.

Abstract

The key performance indicators of library affairs are carried out by measuring the culture of the people’s love of reading, related to the basis of program preparation, library development strategy, as well as the basis for preparing library policy directions. The high level of love for reading in the community has an impact on the level of welfare of the community. The phenomenon of people’s fondness for reading can be seen from the results of the study of their love of reading with their index value. To increase the love of reading, scientific research standards are needed which are the basis for making decisions or policies. Surveys must be in accordance with scientific principles so that research results can be justified. The high community literacy development index and the reading love index will realize a high community literacy index. Libraries can contribute in measuring the reading love level to measure the community’s reading fondness index, both nationally and regionally, in a comprehensive and precise manner. The results of the study of the level of interest in reading can be used as a reference and guide for the National Library of Indonesia, the provincial library service, as well as the regency/city library in making policy for programs to increase the love of reading for people throughout Indonesia.

Abstract

This paper describes efforts to digitize various library services at IAIN Madura in fulfilling user services during a pandemic. The surge in Covid-19 resulted in less-than-optimal library services, even to the point of temporarily closing face-to-face services. This, of course, requires the library to make a variation so that the service remains optimal during a pandemic. One of them is maximizing digital services which are very urgent to be carried out quickly and precisely, so that users can still get library services. This issue was raised, namely how the Madura IAIN library is able to provide digital services to fulfill user services since the Covid-19 pandemic. This research was conducted using qualitative methods with data collection techniques by observation and interviews. The data analysis was carried out descriptively and interpretively based on the latest digital services as well as digital services that are experiencing the process of developing digital library applications at IAIN Madura. The results of this research are the latest digital-based library services and the development of digital applications to serve users since the Covid-19 pandemic. The newest digital library service at IAIN Madura is a digital self-lending service. Meanwhile, digital services that are undergoing application development include e-book, repository, and e-theses services. As for efforts to fulfill user services through library digitization, namely consolidating information technology (IT) teams, developing application programs, and adding library application programs to the IAIN Madura. All of these digital services are very important to be accessible and enjoyed by users during the pandemic and after the Covid-19 pandemic. This is because users still get maximum service with these digital services.

Abstract

This Study aims to describe role of Information Communication Technology (ICT) as a Library Service Media began to be carried out by the Diniyyah Lampung Institute of Technology and Science (INSTIDLA) as a form of adjustment to the development and needs of students in the current era of Society 5.0. This study aims to determine the influence of information and communication technology on INSTIDLA library services. This research uses a qualitative method with an analytical descriptive approach where the role of ICT is explained comprehensively in the INSTIDLA Library as a Library Service Media. Data collection techniques use observation and interviews. The object of this study is instidla's library and social media services. INSTIDLA Library Services is a combination of manual services and information and communication technology (ICT) based services that support library professionalism in improving INSTIDLA library services. The result of this study is a significant influence between the development of ICT and library services through social media, including helping and facilitating the work of library staff, attracting visitors to the library, and facilitating the communication of librarians with library visitors and finally, the library information base via social media

Abstract

An analysis of the role of galleries, libraries, archives and museums as a source of information for public knowledge was conducted. This study aims to find out how the collaborative role of galleries, libraries and archives in disseminating knowledge information sources to the public. The study was conducted using a narrative review which was complemented by observations via the web. The results of the analysis show that institutions that have collaborated include merging and collaborating with regional libraries and archives located in provinces and districts as well as cities throughout Indonesia. The libraries and galleries that have joined are the Fiction Literacy Library and Gallery in Surabaya. For libraries and museums that have joined or collaborated are the Zoological Museum, Tobacco Library and Museum, Soil and Agriculture Museum, and the Geological Museum. As for the combination or collaboration of museums and galleries, they are the Natural History Museum and the Youth Pledge Museum. Referring to the merger between libraries and archives, between libraries and museums, as well as between museums and galleries, it is hoped that the concept of merging or convergence of the roles of galleries, libraries, archives and museums in disseminating regulatory science and technology to the public.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation and the obstacles in implementing the mosque library management guidelines based on the Decree of the Director General of Islamic Community Guidance Number 543 of 2019 at the Al Markaz Al Islami Makassar mosque library. This research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews and documentation. Data processing and analysis techniques were carried out through three stages: data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results of the study show that the implementation of the Director General of Islamic Community Guidance Decree Number 543 of 2019 regarding guidelines for managing mosque libraries in the Al Markaz Al Islami Makassar mosque library has mainly been implemented. It's just that there are still guidelines that cannot be implemented, namely the guidelines for library financing, collaboration and promotion. The obstacles to implementing the Decree of the Director General of Islamic Community Guidance Number 543 of 2019 in the management of the Al Markaz Al Islami Makassar mosque library were the lack of human resources, library promotion has not been maximized, lack of budget support from the Foundation, and technological facilities are often disrupted
