Abstract

Stunting remains an important public health problem in Indonesia, including in East Nusa Tenggara Province, which records a higher prevalence than the national average. This study aims to analyze the effects of poverty, Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), and health expenditure on stunting prevalence in 22 regencies/cities in East Nusa Tenggara Province during 2020–2024. The study uses secondary panel data obtained from official government publications. Data were analyzed using panel regression, and the best-fitting model was the Fixed Effect Model. The results show that poverty has a positive and significant effect on stunting, while GRDP and health expenditure have negative and significant effects on stunting. Simultaneously, the three variables significantly affect stunting prevalence. These findings confirm that stunting is a multidimensional problem that requires cross-sector policies through poverty reduction, regional economic strengthening, and increased health spending.

Abstract

Private higher education institutions (PHEIs) in Indonesia are facing significant challenges, including declining student enrollment, limited human resources, and insufficient operational funding support. These challenges are also experienced by STIE Putra Timor Kupang, which has encountered a decline in student enrollment over the years, limitations in academic and administrative staff, and instability in operational funding. This study aims to analyze sustainability strategies that can be implemented by STIE Putra Timor Kupang to maintain its institutional existence and enhance its competitiveness. The study employed a qualitative method using a case study approach. The research participants consisted of institutional leaders, lecturers, administrative staff, students, and foundation board members. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that the sustainability of STIE Putra Timor Kupang is influenced by four main factors: educational marketing strategies, institutional governance strengthening, human resource optimization, and diversification of revenue sources. The recommended sustainability strategies include digital marketing transformation, the development of market-oriented academic programs, partnerships with government agencies and industry, strengthening a quality culture, and the establishment of campus-based business units. This study contributes to the understanding of how private higher education institutions can formulate adaptive strategies to respond to the dynamic challenges of competition in the higher education sector.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of accessibility on the volume of Tubu coffee production in Tubu Village, North Central Timor Regency. With its supportive geographical characteristics, this village has great potential in developing coffee as a source of livelihood. Through a quantitative approach, this study analyzes the effect of transportation access, electricity access, and social media access on the volume of coffee production. The results show that transportation and electricity access have a significant effect, while social media also makes a positive contribution to product marketing. In this digital era, the use of social media allows coffee farmers to market their products more effectively, reach wider consumers, and increase sales. This study concludes that the development of transportation and electricity infrastructure, as well as the use of social media, are the keys to increasing the volume of Tubu coffee production. Recommendations are given to strengthen this accessibility in order to support village economic development and improve the welfare of the local community.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the potential effectiveness and efficiency of terminal levy revenue at the Technical Facilities Management Unit (UPTD) of North Central Timor Regency for the 2020-2024 period. The research method used is a quantitative descriptive method with an analysis approach of effectiveness, efficiency, and contribution of terminal levy revenue to Regional Original Income (PAD). The data used are secondary data in the form of targets and realization of terminal levy revenue, as well as operational costs incurred by the UPTD during the study period. The results of the study indicate that the overall level of effectiveness of terminal levy revenue still fluctuates, where in certain years it reaches the effective category, but in other years it does not meet the target. From the efficiency aspect, it was found that the use of operational costs in several years has not been fully efficient because the realization of costs is higher than the revenue. Meanwhile, the contribution of terminal levies to PAD of North Central Timor Regency is still very low, so it has not played a significant role in regional income.
