Abstract

This study aims to develop a STEM-based e-module integrated with a Virtual Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) as an innovative solution in science learning. This study used the research and development method with the ADDIE model, which consists of five main stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The study involved seventh-grade students in secondary school as the research subjects. The developed e-module was evaluated for validity in content, language, and presentation, and tested for practicality through readability responses and effectiveness using a quasi-experimental design. The results indicated that the developed e-module had high validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Expert validation rated the e-module as feasible, with the material component scoring 82.67, the language aspect rated at 88, and the presentation dimension reaching 87.3. The readability test demonstrated its practicality, showing that the e-module is user-friendly, engaging, and interactive, with the majority rating it as "very practical". Furthermore, its implementation in learning was proven to enhance students' achievement, as reflected by N-Gain scores ranging from medium to high, along with a large effect size, with an average value of 0.75 in the "high" category. Therefore, this developed e-module can be considered a relevant instructional innovation to support 21st-century science learning.

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive learning media using Articulate Storyline to enhance student interest and learning outcomes in Natural and Social Sciences for elementary education. This study employed a research and development method using the ADDIE model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The subjects involved were fourth-grade elementary students who participated in media trials and implementation. Instruments used in this study included questionnaires, interview guides, observation sheets, and learning outcome tests. Data collection was conducted through expert validation, limited trials, and classroom application. The analysis utilized descriptive quantitative techniques to determine the media's feasibility, practicality, and effectiveness. Expert evaluations showed that the developed media was appropriate and relevant to the learning content. Responses from teachers and students also indicated that the media was easy to use and engaging. The implementation phase revealed a marked increase in student learning interest, with questionnaire scores rising from 68.5% to 87.2%, and a significant improvement in learning outcomes, as average test scores increased from 72.4 to 85.6 after using the media. The integration of local content based on natural resources in the Special Region of Yogyakarta enhanced the media's contextual relevance and relatability to students. This study contributes to the field of elementary education by offering an innovative and adaptive digital media solution that supports independent and contextual learning, in line with the objectives of the current national curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to develop CEKATAN learning media, a crossword puzzle-based media with fable content, to improve the literacy skills of second-grade elementary school students. The research employed Research and Development (R&D) with a modified Borg & Gall model up to the limited trial stage. The participants were students from both experimental and control classes at Wringinputih 01 Public Elementary School, Semarang Regency. Research instruments included validation sheets from experts, teacher and student questionnaires, and literacy tests in the form of pretest and posttest. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics to measure validity and practicality, and inferential statistics (normality, homogeneity, t-test, and N-Gain) to measure effectiveness. Validation results indicated that CEKATAN media was highly valid, with material experts rating it at 93.3% and media experts at 90.6%. Practicality was rated very high by both teachers (92.7%) and students (94.2%). Effectiveness tests showed significant differences between the experimental and control classes (Sig. 0.000 < 0.05). The N-Gain score for the experimental class was 0.84 (high category), while the control class obtained 0.40 (moderate category). These findings demonstrate that CEKATAN media is valid, practical, and effective, making it suitable to be applied in elementary school literacy learning. These findings further imply that CEKATAN media has the potential to support school literacy programs and can be implemented more broadly in elementary education as a sustainable approach to fostering students’ reading interest and comprehension.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an integrated STEM inquiry-based e-module on stoichiometry material to enhance creative thinking skills and learning motivation among high school students, that is feasible, practical, and effective. This study employed a research and development (R&D) method with the 4D model, involving four stages: define, design, develop, and disseminate. The research subjects were 72 students at SMA Negeri 7 Pontianak, selected using cluster random sampling, with a quasi-experimental design with a control group. Data collection techniques included non-test and test methods. Data analysis techniques included qualitative analysis of interview results and feedback, and quantitative analysis of score acquisition. The results showed: (1) an interactive e-module using a STEM-integrated inquiry approach; (2) very feasible quality in terms of material and media, with an average score of 144 out of 160; (3) excellent practicality quality with an average score of 71 out of 80; (4) excellent readability with an average score of 46.22 out of 52; (5) a significant difference in creative thinking ability and learning motivation simultaneously and respectively, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05; and (6) the effective contribution of using e-modules to increase creative thinking ability and learning motivation simultaneously by 48.4%, and respectively by 14.8% (creative thinking ability) and 44.0% (learning motivation). The implications of the research show that the use of e-modules significantly improves students' creative thinking skills and motivation, supports teachers in teaching stoichiometry interactively and contextually, and enriches learning media and digital teaching materials for the 21st-century curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an Economics Textbook using a Contextual Approach based on TPACK to improve students' problem-solving and creative thinking skills. The research employs a development research method using the ADDIE model, which consists of Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation phases. The development process involved six expert validators who assessed the textbook's format, language, and content. Validation instruments were used to collect data and obtain feedback for improvement. The validity analysis was conducted using descriptive percentage analysis, calculating the Average Percentage Score (PRS) for each validated aspect. The results show that the Economics Textbook developed with a Contextual TPACK-based approach meets validity criteria. The average percentage scores (PRS) were 81 for format, 87.82 for language, and 83.13 for content, with an overall average of 83.98, all falling into the high category. This textbook is suitable for implementation in economics courses at the higher education level and is expected to significantly enhance students' critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills by promoting more active and meaningful learning experiences.
