Abstract

The problem faced by students in SMPN 1 Bajawa Utara is the lack of student participation in the teaching and learning process because teachers tend to use conventional learning methods, so students do not have the opportunity to think or express opinions either individually or in groups. To overcome these problems, the teacher must choose an appropriate learning method. One of them is cooperative learning type Numbered Heads Together (NHT). Because NHT type of cooperative learning focuses more on student cooperation in small groups of 3 - 5 people and divided heterogeneously. This type of research is experimental research with a quantitative approach. Sources of data from student learning outcomes tests are pre-test and post-test. The population was all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Bajawa Utara, samples taken were 10 students using simple random sampling technique. Data were analyzed with descriptive analysis and covariance analysis (ANAKOVA) techniques. The preparation of the NHT model of learning tools carried out produces good learning tools because they meet the requirements of validity, reliability, and sensitivity. The results of covariance analysis obtained statistics F count = 20.29035 and F table = 4.45 with the numerator dk = 1 and the denominator d = 17, giving a significant value (F arithmetic> F table). This shows that the NHT model gives effective results.

Abstract

The formulation of the problem in this research is "how the students activity in following the learning of mathematics by using STAD type cooperative learning model of geometry material on the students of class X SMAK ST.Petrus Ende and how STAD type cooperative learning model can improve the result of learning mathematics material Geometry in grade X students SMAK ST Petrus Ende. With the aim of this research is to know the result of learning mathematics of Geometry material by applying STAD type cooperative learning model in STP X class student ST Peter Ende and to know student activity in following learning mathematics of geometry material at student of class X SMAK ST.Petrus Ende. The type of this research is Classroom Action Research with approach done is qualitative approach supported by approach of signifikanitatif. Population in this research is student of class X SMAK ST. Peter Ende, the sample used in the study were students of class X3 with the number of students 19 people. Data collection techniques used in this study is the method of observation, interview methods and learning methods. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, it is found that: (1) the implementation of cooperative learning model of Student Teams Achievement Division in Mathematics learning at SMAK ST. Peter Ende is a very good thing in improving students' learning outcomes, especially if the Student Teams Achievement Division's cooperative learning model is applied in accordance with the STAD model steps, (2) the students are actively involved in the learning activities and can work on the THB problem with Good and get a satisfactory presentation. This can be seen from the increase in the percentage of student learning outcomes with mastery of the class. In the first cycle, the percentage of completeness reached 26.31% with the level of learning outcomes in the category enough, and in the second cycle increased to 100% with very good category

Abstract

The problem in this research is that teacher-oriented learning. While student learning activities that are often done are listening and taking notes. Students become embarrassed to ask the teacher if there are difficulties in solving and solving the problems given. Therefore, one of the learning models that can make students active and exchange opinions in solving mathematical problems. The appropriate learning model is type cooperative learning (TAI), through this learning students can facilitate active in individuals or groups, so as to improve student learning outcomes. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR), in this study there are two cycles where each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely the planning stage, the stage of implementing the action, the stage of observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were 29 grade VII students of SMPN 2 South Ende. Data collection techniques used are observation, testing and documentation. The results of the study were obtained before using cooperative learning type TAI, the percentage of completeness student learning outcomes 37.93%. After using the cooperative learning model TAI in the first cycle of action has increased with the percentage of completeness of learning outcomes by 44.82%, and continued in the second cycle has increased learning outcomes to reach 100%. This shows that the TAI type of cooperative learning model can improve the learning outcomes of social arithmetic material in grade VII students of SMPN 2 Ende Selatan.

Abstract

The background of this study is the low student learning outcomes in mathematics because of the lack of student involvement in the learning process. This study aims to find out: (1) student learning outcomes in the material of the Two Variable Linear Equation System through type of make a match cooperative learning; (2) Student learning activities on the Material Variable Linear Equation System (SPLDV) through the make a match type cooperative learning model. This type of research is a Class Action Research conducted in two cycles. This research was conducted at the St. Vincentius Ndona Vocational School in Ende district. Subjects in the study were 20 Electrical Grade X students. Data collection techniques used were observation, test and documentation techniques, while data analysis techniques used descriptive qualitative analysis techniques. The results of the research conducted showed an increase in student learning outcomes and student activities. In the first cycle the percentage of student activity by 60% and the second cycle by 77%, resulting in an increase of 17%. For learning outcomes, the number of students who finished in cycle I was 3 people and cycle II was 16 people. The average value obtained by students in the first cycle was 63.7 with the percentage of classical learning completeness of 35%. Whereas in the second cycle, the average value obtained by students was 81.31 with a percentage of classical learning completeness of 84.21%, resulting in an increase in student learning outcomes by 49.21%. Thus it can be concluded that the model of make a match cooperative learning can improve student learning outcomes in class X Electric Vocational School St. Vincentius Ndona in the material of the Two Variable Linear Equation System.

Abstract

Students do learning activities by memorizing so that in learning mathematics critical thinking skills are still very low. One effort to solve this problem researchers used the Talking Stick learning model. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the Talking Stick learning model on the critical thinking skills of grade VII Catholic Christo Regi Ende SMPS students. This type of research in this research is Causal Comperative research. Independent variable (X) talking stick and dependent variable (Y) critical thinking. Sample as many as 27 people. Data analysis using regression analysis with a significance level of 5%. The results showed that the residual assumption test results were normally distributed, there was no multicollinearity, no autocorrelation, and no heteroscedasticity. The significant level obtained from the results of the regression analysis is 0,000 <0.05. The conclusion drawn is rejecting H0 and accepting H1 means that there is an influence of the Talking Stick learning model on the critical thinking skills of students in class VII Catholic SMPS Christo Regi Ende.Thus it can be suggested that the school makes the talking stick model as an alternative to support students' critical thinking skills, teachers are expected to choose the right learning model and create a pleasant learning atmosphere. For students must have a critical attitude and courage to ask questions when experiencing difficulties.

Abstract

Based on the results of interviews with the mathematics teachers of class VII SMPK Alvarez Paga Academic year 2018/2019 found that students mastery and learning outcomes in integer material is relatively low. This is because teachers still use convetional methods. As a teacher should be able to apply varied learning models and one of them is to use learning media. In this research used the gomo toma “congklak” ethnomatematics learning media in order for students to aperate integers. This research is experimental research and used a quantitative approach. The population in this study were all VII grade students of SMPK Alvarez Paga, andthe sample wasclass VII B. The data analysis technique used is covariance analysis. The results of the study showed that the application Gomo Toma “congklak” learning media for integer operating material resulted in learning devices that were well qualified (validity, reliability, sensitivity). The results of the covariance analysis obtained a statistical value Fhitung = 8.44 > Ftabel = 4.21 with the numerator dk = 1 and the denominator = 27, giving a significant value. This shows that the application of gomo toma “congklak” learning media can improve the learning outcomes of class VIIB students of SMPK Alvarez Paga in the Academic Year 2018/2019`

Abstract

The problem occurs in SMPN 1 Ende Selatan is many students still get difficulties in mathematics and less of students' activity during the learning process. It causes the low of students' results in the study. That problem occurs because the teacher still uses the conventional method in the learning process. So, it makes students feel bored, and be passive. To overcome that problem, researchers apply the cooperative learning type Numbered Heads Together (NHT) to improve learning outcomes there are student activities. The type of research used is classroom action research with data collection techniques namely observation and tests. The learning process is carried out in stages, namely the planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. A series of stages are called cycles. This study occurred 2 cycles with the same implementation stages. Based on the result of data analysis, researchers concluded that classical completeness in cycles I was 56% and in cycles II was 92%. The observation results in observing student activities in learning cycles I was 66% and cycle II was 90%. Observation results in observing teacher activities in cycle I at 67% and in cycle II 92,72%. Therefore, the authors conclude that model cooperative learning type Numbered Heads Together (NHT) can improve learning outcomes and learning activities of class VIII of south Ende 1 Junior High School

Abstract

Mathematics as one of the subjects in the school is considered a very important role, because mathematics can increase students ' knowledge in thinking logically, rationally, critically, thoroughly, effectively, and efficiently. Therefore, the knowledge of mathematics must be mastered as early as possible by students. But in fact, many students are less fond of mathematics because it is a very difficult and confusing lesson. The lack of interest and motivation of children in studying mathematics automatically affects students ' learning achievements themselves. The lack of child motivation in learning can be caused by a few factors, such as hard-to-understand material, an uncomfortable and pleasant classroom atmosphere, a factor of the teacher, and others. Most student conditions in the classroom have varied academic skills. Therefore, teachers are required to overcome learning difficulties by using suitable or appropriate learning methods in order to help students in the learning process become effective. The type of research used in this study is experimental research and the approach used is a quantitive approach. The population in this study is all students of the class VII private junior high School Muhammadiyah Ende numbering 30 people, and the sample is a grade VII B students as many as 15 people. The results of descriptive analysis showed that the cooperative learning device type is suitable for use in the set material because the guidance of classical learning has reached 100% of the type of cooperative learning STAD improve student learning outcomes because the analysis of covariants (ANAKOVA) obtained statistic F = 16.13728 with DK pemtell = 1 and DK denominator = 27, giving a significant value

Abstract

This research focused on the difficulty of students doing interaction activities in learning mathematics in school. Sometimes even smart students will get used to silence in class. Students are not accustomed to actively interacting, even though student activities are very important in the process of learning mathematics. Activities that occur in learning, include several aspects such as listening to the teacher's explanation, asking if there is something that has not been understood, answering the question of the teacher or other friends, having active discussions if allowed group work, solving practice questions if they are given by the teacher and so on. The activities included in it are interactive activities. Interaction in this research is an activity that occurs about the needs of the learning process, namely the relationship between teacher and student, student and teacher, student and student, and student and learning resources. The method used in this research is how the interaction that occurs is related to the interaction model. The expected results of this study are students can actively interact in every learning process in school.
