Abstract

Each individual can think critically in solving problems according to the differences in their adversity quotient and learning style. This study aims to describe the critical thinking profile of mathematics students who have visual, auditory, kinesthetic learning styles and adversity quotient climbers in solving geometry problems. This research is a descriptive study using a qualitative approach. The research subjects were students of mathematics education at the University of Flores. The instruments in this study were the researchers themselves, adversity quotient questionnaires, learning style questionnaires, and Problem Solving Tests. The results obtained are that 1) Subjects with visual learning style and adversity quotient climbers in solving problems can understand the problems at hand, can plan and can carry out the completion process well, and re-examine the work. 2) Subjects with auditory learning style and adversity quotient climbers can understand the problem given, do not plan so that the implementation is not detailed, re-examine the work. 3) Subjects with kinesthetic learning style and adversity quotient climbers can understand the problem, plan but the subject solves it directly, does not re-examine what has been done. It was concluded that each individual has a different way of understanding and solving problems.

Abstract

Culture is something that cannot be avoided in everyday life because culture is a complete and comprehensive unit that applies in a community. This allows mathematical concepts to be embedded in cultural practices. The purpose of this study is to describe the ethnomathematical concepts that exist in each traditional dance movement of the Toja and Wanda of the Lio tribe, Mbuli Village, North Waralau. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research type. The subjects in this study were informants, namely, native speakers who were asked by researchers to talk about mathematical concepts in the art of Toja Wanda dance movements, the instrument of this research was the human instrument, data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results show that one of the Toja dance movements remains in place and one foot moves forward, this motion can form vertical and horizontal lines, in the Wanda dance the men's arms stretch to the side with an upright body, and both hands swing forward and backward. intersecting lines and parallel lines, while in every Toja and Wanda dance movement the hands holding the sash while moving each movement, and the legs moving forward, sideways, and backward, these movements always form angles and triangles. It was concluded that every style of the Toja and Wanda dance movements of the Lio tribe, Wolowuwu Village, Mbuli Village, North Warala has ethnomathematical concepts. including vertical lines, horizontal lines, intersecting lines, acute angles, right angles, obtuse angles, arbitrary triangles, isosceles triangles, equilateral triangles, and right triangles.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat sejauhmana persepsi mahasiswa Program Studi Guru Sekolah Dasar Fakiltas Keguruan Dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Flores. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskripsi dengan pendekatam kuantitatif dengan metode survey. Data diperoleh dari 454 responden mahasiwa yang berasal dari Program Studi Guru Sekolah Dasar Universitas Flores yang dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan lewat aplikasi SPADA Dikti. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa Program Studi Guru Sekolah Dasar Fakultas Keguuan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Flores memberikan respon positif terhadap program MBKM dengan menyatakan siap untuk MBKM karena MBKM sesuai dengan manfaat bagi mahaiswa jika mengikuti kegiatan MBKM dalam pengembangan kompentensi/keterampilan sebagai bekal bekerja setelah lulus.

Abstract

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic is not only on the safety aspect of people's lives but also on the education aspect. One of the problems faced is that students have problems understanding each material given by the teacher because what has experienced so far is that students only get assignments online (What's App, E-Learning), then students do the assignments and send them back. At that moment, there is no direct explanation from the teacher, and each student's answer only relies on the internet (google), even though students need an understanding of the concepts in the material provided, especially mathematics for fractions. One of the activities that help students develop themselves in improving their learning abilities is the tutor. Solution offered to students who live in RT 003, Paupire Village, in this service activity is to provide Student learning assistance and guidance by using fractional block teaching aids during the Covid 19 Pandemic to increase understanding of concepts and learning outcomes. Tutoring can increase students' motivation and academic value, increase understanding of fraction concepts and learning outcomes.

Abstract

The problem found in Lokoboko Village, Ndona sub-district is that village data input is still done manually and has not been regulated properly, therefore this community service program is very good for changes in village data management that has been carried out by village officials. With the design of this Web-based data information system, it is very easy for village officials to input and manage population data. The purpose of this service activity is to provide convenience to village officials in filling village data using the HTML website. The method used in this service activity is socialization, assistance and training to village officials in using HTML Web sites. The results obtained are that data taken from the community is inputted via a web created and the data is well organized so that it can be presented neatly.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi konsep-konsep matematika yang terdapat dalam motif tenun lawo Mbuli Lio yang dihasilkan oleh penenun Mbuli. Meskipun berupa hasil dialog dan observasi didapati prinsip-prinsip geometri seperti simetri, trnsformasi, refleksi dan pengulangan. Disamping itu juga didapat konsep-konsep matematika dalam motif lawo Mbuli Lio seperti garis lurus, garis lengkung, lingkaran dan bangun polygon seperti segitiga, segiempat, bentuk binatang, piramida dan lain-lain. Penting bagi kita terutama guru di sekolah untuk mempelajari dan mengajarkannya kepada siswa untuk dijadikan sumber dalam pembelajaran konstekstual disamping itu juga siswa memperoleh wawasan baru tentang pengetahuan matematika yang pada hakekatnya memiliki wajah yang beragam, bukan hanya matematika formal di sekolah, sehingga pebelajaran matematrika dapat dimulai dari suatu kehidupan nyata yang dialami oleh siswa secara langsung.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the thought process student teachers in the filing of post-type math problem posing solution in terms of learning styles. Filing post about the type of solution posing as students to modify the conditions of interest or questions that have been completed to generate new problems. While the learning styles that students who have learning styles are visual, auditory and kinesthetic(V-A-K) This study used a qualitative approach and data collection techniques done with the learning styles test, test the submission of questions and interviews. This study used three students of University Mathematics Education FKIP Flores who have learning styles are visual, auditory and kinesthetic. The data analysis is done by step - step, namely the reduction of data, presenting data and draw conclusions. As for memdapatkan valid research data, this study used triangulation of time.Subjects who have a visual learningstyle, can receive information by writing the note and asked on the matter and establish the mathematical model of any information contained on the matter. Subjects in processing information that could link the information given to the concept stored in memory that is the subject says the concept uses existing linear program and derivative material. In finding a way in solving strategies, subject to form models / equations to obtain a set tariff in order to gain the maximum profit. Subject to draw conclusions made about the same as the submission of test questions but changed the context of the information and asked different. Subjects who have auditory learning style, in receiving information by writing and calculating the net profits of each set price and subsequent counting using excel. Subject to process information that is subject may connect the information given to the concept stored in memory that is the subject says the concept uses existing linear program in calculating gains and losses.

Abstract

This research focused on the difficulty of students doing interaction activities in learning mathematics in school. Sometimes even smart students will get used to silence in class. Students are not accustomed to actively interacting, even though student activities are very important in the process of learning mathematics. Activities that occur in learning, include several aspects such as listening to the teacher's explanation, asking if there is something that has not been understood, answering the question of the teacher or other friends, having active discussions if allowed group work, solving practice questions if they are given by the teacher and so on. The activities included in it are interactive activities. Interaction in this research is an activity that occurs about the needs of the learning process, namely the relationship between teacher and student, student and teacher, student and student, and student and learning resources. The method used in this research is how the interaction that occurs is related to the interaction model. The expected results of this study are students can actively interact in every learning process in school.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the profile of students' critical thinking in solving realistic mathematical problems of geometry material in terms of learning styles. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. Critical thinking in this study refers to critical thinking with FRISCO criteria. In this study, subjects were taken from students of class VII SMP N 2 Ende Selatan. Each student's research subjects have visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles. Data collection is done by providing a Problem Solving Test (TPM) and an interview. The results obtained, subjects who have a visual learning style, critical thinking processes in solving realistic mathematical problems, able to understand problems, the subject has not been able to determine ways to solve problems, the subject has not been able to carry out the settlement and the subject does not re-examine. Subjects who have auditory learning styles, critical thinking profiles in solving realistic mathematical problems are able to understand problems, but the subject does not re-examine. Subjects who have kinesthetic learning styles of critical thinking processes in solving realistic mathematical problems are able to understand problems, are able to plan problems, subjects can carry out well and check the results.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are 1). to find out a brief history of the Keda Nua Pu'u Nida traditional house; 2). To explore the ethnomathematical concepts contained in the Nua Pu'u Nida Traditional House. This type of research is exploratory research using an ethnographic approach with taxonomic analysis. The subjects in this study were four people and the researchers themselves. The instruments used are observation sheets, interview guidelines, and documentation. Data analysis used is a triangulation of data sources from researchers, namely by means of documentation and observation and is strengthened by reference books. The results of this study indicate the existence of geometric shapes in the traditional house of Keda Nida. The geometric shapes found are: 1) trapezoidal roof; 2) beam-shaped bearings; 3) a line-shaped roof pole; 4) the roof to the side is triangular in shape; 5) the meeting between two logs that form a corner. The shape of the parts of the traditional house can change the paradigm of students and the community under mathematics which is closely related to daily activities with culture.
