Abstract

One of the factors that are important to achieve the goals of mathematics learning is a way of thinking students during learning. One of the processes used are intuitive thinking. Intuitive thinking is a cognitive process that led to the idea as a strategy for making decisions in solving problems. Spontaneous answers both written and oral expression so that students solve mathematical problems without the use of analytical thinking. The purpose of this study was to describe the solution to overcome the lack of mathematics achievement by means of intuitive thinking. The method used is qualitative to describe the solution of the subject in intuitive thinking. The subject was the four student of class VIII. Subjects using antisipatory intuitive ways of thinking that is contrary to the alleged problem solving in general and included in the global components and perception because it produces the correct answer with the solution.

Abstract

Each individual can think critically in solving problems according to the differences in their adversity quotient and learning style. This study aims to describe the critical thinking profile of mathematics students who have visual, auditory, kinesthetic learning styles and adversity quotient climbers in solving geometry problems. This research is a descriptive study using a qualitative approach. The research subjects were students of mathematics education at the University of Flores. The instruments in this study were the researchers themselves, adversity quotient questionnaires, learning style questionnaires, and Problem Solving Tests. The results obtained are that 1) Subjects with visual learning style and adversity quotient climbers in solving problems can understand the problems at hand, can plan and can carry out the completion process well, and re-examine the work. 2) Subjects with auditory learning style and adversity quotient climbers can understand the problem given, do not plan so that the implementation is not detailed, re-examine the work. 3) Subjects with kinesthetic learning style and adversity quotient climbers can understand the problem, plan but the subject solves it directly, does not re-examine what has been done. It was concluded that each individual has a different way of understanding and solving problems.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the STAD problem-based learning setting in terms of learning outcomes and mathematical dispositions. This research is an experimental research type of pre-experimental. This pre-experimental study used a one-group pretest-posttest design with a population of students in the second semester of the Mathematics Education Study Program at the University of Flores for the 2020/2021 academic year. The sample in this study was a class of second-semester students. The research instrument used was a test of learning outcomes in the form of a description of 6 questions and a non-test in the form of a mathematical disposition questionnaire in the form of a Likert scale with five answer choices. The data analysis technique used was the paired-sample t-test with the help of SPSS Windows Version 16. Based on the test results, obtained the value of sig. of 0.00 for learning outcomes and mathematical dispositions. This result shows that the problem-based learning setting of STAD is effective and good to be applied in the design of the learning process in a number theory course, in terms of learning outcomes and mathematical disposition abilities.

Abstract

Culture is something that cannot be avoided in everyday life because culture is a complete and comprehensive unit that applies in a community. This allows mathematical concepts to be embedded in cultural practices. The purpose of this study is to describe the ethnomathematical concepts that exist in each traditional dance movement of the Toja and Wanda of the Lio tribe, Mbuli Village, North Waralau. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research type. The subjects in this study were informants, namely, native speakers who were asked by researchers to talk about mathematical concepts in the art of Toja Wanda dance movements, the instrument of this research was the human instrument, data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results show that one of the Toja dance movements remains in place and one foot moves forward, this motion can form vertical and horizontal lines, in the Wanda dance the men's arms stretch to the side with an upright body, and both hands swing forward and backward. intersecting lines and parallel lines, while in every Toja and Wanda dance movement the hands holding the sash while moving each movement, and the legs moving forward, sideways, and backward, these movements always form angles and triangles. It was concluded that every style of the Toja and Wanda dance movements of the Lio tribe, Wolowuwu Village, Mbuli Village, North Warala has ethnomathematical concepts. including vertical lines, horizontal lines, intersecting lines, acute angles, right angles, obtuse angles, arbitrary triangles, isosceles triangles, equilateral triangles, and right triangles.

Abstract

ABSTRAKCovid-19 yang melanda dunia mengakibatkan pemerintah mengeluarkan peraturan patuhi protokol kesehatan yang salah satunya adalah menjaga kebersihan dengan mencuci tangan. Menjaga kebersihan adalah hal wajib yang harus selalu dilakukan oleh siapapun dan kapanpun. Salah satunya adalah menjaga kebersihan tangan, pasalnya tangan adalah bagian tubuh yang sangat rentan dengan mudah menjadi tempat bersarangnya virus, dan bakteri. Tangan sebagai organ tubuh yang sering kali berinteraksi, menyentuh dan dapat menjadi media penyebaran kuman, virus serta bakteri yang berbahaya. Cara yang dapat dilakukan masyarakat dengan menggunakan cairan hand sanitizer sebagai alat sterilisasi tangan agar terhindar dari wabah virus corona yang mematikan. Cairan hand sanitizer yang dibuat dari bahan alami yang ada dilingkungan tempat tinggal masyarakat, mudah didapat, lebih murah dan efektif. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan petunjuk pembuatan cairan hand sanitizer bagi masyarakat desa Dille sekaligus memanfaatkan bahan tradisional dalam pembuatannya. Bahan yang digunahkan adalah daun siri, jeruk nipis, lidah buaya, kemangi dan ketimun. Semua bahan yang disediakan dihaluskan, diperas diambil airnya kemudian dicampurkan. Setelah proses pembuatan dilakukan kemudian dikemas dalam botol dengan tiga varian rasa yaitu rasa timangi (campuran kemangi dan timun), rasa silibar (campuran daun siri dan lidah buaya), rasa jeriya (campuran jeruk nipis dan lidah buaya).Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan sekaligus prantikum pada masyarakat desa Dille sejumlah 16 orang. Hasil evaluasi dari kelompok PKM adalah para peserta penyuluhan bisa mempraktekan dan menularkan kepada tetangga dan keluarga tentang cara pembuatan hand sanitizer untuk kesehatan Persentase keberhasilan baik softskil maupun hardskil mencapai 90% dan dari nilai ekonomisnya mencapai 100%, karena mereka menggunakan bahan alam dan botol bekas tanpa hasur membeli.   Kata kunci: hand sanitizer; bahan alami; antiseptik  ABSTRACTThe Covid-19 that hit the world has forced the government to issue regulations to comply with health protocols, one of which is maintaining cleanliness by washing hands. Maintaining cleanliness is a mandatory thing that must be done by anyone at any time. One of them is maintaining hand hygiene, because hands are a very vulnerable part of the body that easily becomes a nesting place for viruses and bacteria. Hands as organs of the body that often interact, touch and can be a medium for the spread of germs, viruses and harmful bacteria. The way that people can do is use hand sanitizer liquid as a hand sterilization tool to avoid the deadly corona virus outbreak. Hand sanitizer liquid made from natural ingredients that exist in the community's living environment, is easy to obtain, cheaper and effective. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide instructions for making hand sanitizer liquid for the people of Dille village while utilizing traditional materials in its manufacture. The ingredients used are siri leaves, lime, aloe vera, basil and cucumber. All the ingredients provided are mashed, squeezed, the water is taken and then mixed. After the manufacturing process is carried out, it is packaged in bottles with three flavors, namely timangi flavor (a mixture of basil and cucumber), silibar flavor (a mixture of siri leaves and aloe vera), jeriya flavor (a mixture of lime and aloe vera). The method used is counseling as well as practicum to the 16 people of Dille village community. The results of the evaluation from the PKM group were that the counseling participants could practice and transmit to their neighbors and family about how to make hand sanitizers for health. The percentage of success for both soft skills and hard skills reached 90% and the economic value reached 100%, because they used natural ingredients and used bottles without hasur buy. Keywords: hand sanitizer; natural ingredients; antiseptic

Abstract

This assistance aims to improve the understanding and ability of mathematics teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Larantuka regarding the preparation of Classroom Action Research (CAR) reports. Besides, this assistance aims to assist in the preparation and implementation of CAR by assist teachers in its application. The stages carried out in this service are finding the right model to be applied to the learning process, assistance in making proposals, designing learning tools, teacher research activities in class, and compiling reports on the results of CAR. The results are an increase in the understanding and ability of teachers about the implementation of CAR activities. The results are using as input for teachers to improve teacher professional competence by conducting CAR.

Abstract

The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic is not only on the safety aspect of people's lives but also on the education aspect. One of the problems faced is that students have problems understanding each material given by the teacher because what has experienced so far is that students only get assignments online (What's App, E-Learning), then students do the assignments and send them back. At that moment, there is no direct explanation from the teacher, and each student's answer only relies on the internet (google), even though students need an understanding of the concepts in the material provided, especially mathematics for fractions. One of the activities that help students develop themselves in improving their learning abilities is the tutor. Solution offered to students who live in RT 003, Paupire Village, in this service activity is to provide Student learning assistance and guidance by using fractional block teaching aids during the Covid 19 Pandemic to increase understanding of concepts and learning outcomes. Tutoring can increase students' motivation and academic value, increase understanding of fraction concepts and learning outcomes.

Abstract

The problem found in Lokoboko Village, Ndona sub-district is that village data input is still done manually and has not been regulated properly, therefore this community service program is very good for changes in village data management that has been carried out by village officials. With the design of this Web-based data information system, it is very easy for village officials to input and manage population data. The purpose of this service activity is to provide convenience to village officials in filling village data using the HTML website. The method used in this service activity is socialization, assistance and training to village officials in using HTML Web sites. The results obtained are that data taken from the community is inputted via a web created and the data is well organized so that it can be presented neatly.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi konsep-konsep matematika yang terdapat dalam motif tenun lawo Mbuli Lio yang dihasilkan oleh penenun Mbuli. Meskipun berupa hasil dialog dan observasi didapati prinsip-prinsip geometri seperti simetri, trnsformasi, refleksi dan pengulangan. Disamping itu juga didapat konsep-konsep matematika dalam motif lawo Mbuli Lio seperti garis lurus, garis lengkung, lingkaran dan bangun polygon seperti segitiga, segiempat, bentuk binatang, piramida dan lain-lain. Penting bagi kita terutama guru di sekolah untuk mempelajari dan mengajarkannya kepada siswa untuk dijadikan sumber dalam pembelajaran konstekstual disamping itu juga siswa memperoleh wawasan baru tentang pengetahuan matematika yang pada hakekatnya memiliki wajah yang beragam, bukan hanya matematika formal di sekolah, sehingga pebelajaran matematrika dapat dimulai dari suatu kehidupan nyata yang dialami oleh siswa secara langsung.

Abstract

This research focused on the difficulty of students doing interaction activities in learning mathematics in school. Sometimes even smart students will get used to silence in class. Students are not accustomed to actively interacting, even though student activities are very important in the process of learning mathematics. Activities that occur in learning, include several aspects such as listening to the teacher's explanation, asking if there is something that has not been understood, answering the question of the teacher or other friends, having active discussions if allowed group work, solving practice questions if they are given by the teacher and so on. The activities included in it are interactive activities. Interaction in this research is an activity that occurs about the needs of the learning process, namely the relationship between teacher and student, student and teacher, student and student, and student and learning resources. The method used in this research is how the interaction that occurs is related to the interaction model. The expected results of this study are students can actively interact in every learning process in school.
