Abstract

This study aims to identify, manage, and analyze data to understand the role of social institutions in improving the welfare of the elderly in Ambon City. It is hoped that the results of this study can reduce the research gap that has been mentioned and contribute to social institutions in efforts to improve social welfare.Bottom of Form Social institutions play a crucial role in providing various services and assistance for the elderly, such as social assistance, material assistance, and empowerment programs that focus on meeting the physical, psychological, and social needs of the elderly. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, where data is obtained through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation of a number of social institutions operating in Ambon City. The research findings show that social institutions have a significant contribution to improving the welfare of the elderly through the provision of health services, social assistance, and economic empowerment programs that can increase the independence of the elderly. However, there are obstacles faced by social institutions, such as limited funds and manpower, which have an impact on the quality of services provided. This study suggests the importance of optimizing the role of social institutions by increasing support from the government and the community to improve the welfare of the elderly in Ambon City. Abstract

Flexibility in organizations is an increasingly important principle in dealing with rapidly changing market dynamics. This study aims to explore how the application of flexibility in decision-making and innovation, by relating to the concept of methodological freedom developed by Paul Feyerabend, can strengthen organizational performance and resilience. Using case studies from several leading companies such as Google, Netflix, Amazon, Zara, and Tesla, the study analyzes how freedom to choose different methodological and experimental approaches can drive innovation, improve responsiveness to change, and provide a sustainable competitive advantage. Organizations that implement flexibility in their operational structure and managerial strategy show improvements in creativity, resilience to uncertainty, and adaptability to external changes. However, the main challenge faced is maintaining a balance between individual freedom and a clear organizational structure. Leadership that supports experimentation and views failure as part of the learning process has proven to be an important factor in creating an innovative culture. This research provides valuable insights for managerial practitioners and academics regarding the importance of implementing flexibility to achieve competitive advantage in organizations. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Job Insecurity and Job Stress on Turnover Intention among bankemployees in the Greater Jakarta area. In the context of the Job Demand-Resources theory, job uncertainty (JobInsecurity) and job stress (Job Stress) are considered factors that can affect employees' intentions to leave thecompany. The research method used was quantitative with a survey design, where data was obtained from 56employees working at several banks in Greater Jakarta. Data processing was carried out using SmartPLS 3.0, withthe T test to test the hypothesis and bootstrapping analysis to test the significance of the relationship between thevariables. The results of the study show that both Job Insecurity and Job Stress have a significant positive influenceon Turnover Intention. This research provides important insights for companies to manage job uncertainty andemployee stress to reduce turnover intention. In the practical aspect, companies are advised to introduce policies thatcan reduce uncertainty in work and provide better psychological support for employees, to prevent an increase inturnover intention that adversely affects the organization. The impact of this study on company managers is significant,as the management of job uncertainty and stress can affect employee retention and create a more productive workenvironment. HR managers need to be more aware of the factors that can increase turnover intention and designpolicies that emphasize job stability and employee well-being. The novelty of this study lies in the application of theJob Demand-Resources model in the context of banks in the Greater Jakarta area, as well as the use of SmartPLS 3.0to test the relationship between variables that contribute to the development of human resource theory and practice inthe banking industry

Abstract

Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, learning institutions in Indonesia have been forced to switch to e-learning. E-learning is a new way of education that everyone had to adopt. To ensure the continuity of teaching and learning activities, higher education institutions (HEIs) need to explore ways to increase the quality of e-learning systems. The paper aims to understand the quality factors that influence e-learning adoption in Indonesia. The proposed framework is validated with 753 students from four universities located in different regions of Indonesia. Data were analysed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) software. The findings show that a relationship does exist between information quality and e-learning adoption. However, system and service quality did not indicate any significant influence on e-learning adoption.

Abstract

These days, keeping employees engaged and committed is crucial to the organization's strategy. For the long-term benefit of the company and its members, it is not only critical to have the greatest and most talented personnel; it is also critical to be able to retain them. This paper's goal is to examine the research papers written by different writers in order to identify the elements that affect employee retention and engagement in the workplace. This research looks at the following important predicators: work-life balance; organizational culture; employee engagement; satisfaction with performance in hiring and selection; career management; teamwork; and management support in terms of pay and benefits. Since different organizations place varying degrees of emphasis on these guidelines based on how well they fit the needs of their retention strategies, there are no set procedures that demonstrate the full scope and significance of the influence of all the aforementioned broad themes. Drawing from this comprehension of the papers; recommendations are made that provide an integrated perspective on the several approaches that companies should implement to maintain a high degree of employee engagement and retention.

Abstract

Rationale: The pervasive influence of social media on consumer behavior and marketing strategies necessitates a comprehensive understanding of its impact on the hospitality industry. As hotels increasingly leverage digital platforms for engagement and reputation management, examining the effectiveness of various social media strategies and their implications becomes crucial for optimizing marketing efforts and enhancing brand identity. Objective: This study aims to investigate the impact of social media on hotel management, branding, engagement, and reputation in the hospitality sector. Method: A mixed-methods approach was employed, involving quantitative surveys of hotel customers and qualitative interviews with hotel marketing managers. Data on demographic characteristics, social media usage patterns, primary purposes of social media usage, perceptions of hotel branding, and reputation management practices were collected and analyzed to identify trends and insights. Results: The data reveals that promotional offers and discounts (100%), user reviews (90%), and visual content (80%) are critical factors influencing consumer hotel choices. Collaboration with influencers, user-generated content, live video content, and social media advertising all demonstrated 100% effectiveness in engaging audiences and building brand identity. Pre-social media, 40% of hotels promptly addressed issues, while post-social media, this decreased to 20%, with private resolutions increasing from 20% to 30%. Conclusions: Social media significantly influences consumer behavior in hotel selection and booking decisions. The shift in reputation management practices underscores the need for hotels to balance transparency with effective conflict resolution strategies. Social media strategies that leverage influencers, user-generated content, and dynamic visual content are crucial for enhancing engagement and brand identity. Recommendations: Hotels should prioritize influencer collaborations, encourage user-generated content, and invest in high-quality visual media. Implementing regular updates, engaging contests, and targeted promotional offers can drive bookings and enhance customer satisfaction. Proactive reputation management and transparent communication are essential for maintaining a positive public image. Significance Statement: This study provides valuable insights into the transformative impact of social media on the hospitality industry, offering evidence-based strategies and policy recommendations for optimizing digital marketing efforts. The findings underscore the importance of a strategic and multifaceted approach to social media, highlighting its role in shaping consumer behavior, enhancing brand identity, and driving business growth.
