Abstract

Basic education has an important role in forming the foundation of a child's character. The city of Surakarta is a city that has many choices of elementary schools, both public and private. The large number of elementary schools requires clustering, so that it can help the government and the community in decision making. The most important factors in choosing an elementary school are school facilities and costs, so the clustering in this research is based on educational costs and the facilities provided by the school. The method used in this research is the K-Medoids clustering method, namely a clustering method that groups data based on groups that have maximum similarity. To evaluate the clustering results, silhoette value calculations are used. It is hoped that this research can help the government, especially the education department, in mapping elementary schools in the Surakarta area and assist parents in determining elementary school choices.

Abstract

Gorontalo City is the largest contributor of waste in Gorontalo Province. Waste production in Gorontalo City increases to 140 tonnes per day based on data from the National Waste Management Information System. One of the things that caused the waste problem in Gorontalo to become more severe is the difficulty in transporting waste due to the limited transport fleet. Furthermore, the Waste Management Reuse, Reduce, and Recycle (TPS3R) personnel in several sub-districts are no longer functioning. This article details the emergence of innovative waste management applications, providing a new paradigm for cities to become digitally connected hygiene centers. The app not only revolutionizes the way waste is perceived but also offers smart solutions to optimize waste management efficiently. With a modern and progressive approach, the app creates an interactive experience for the people of Gorontalo to manage their waste. Through smart center and route mapping features, the app empowers citizens to actively contribute to keeping the city clean. In addition, the integrated information system enables quick and informed decision-making for authorities, creating responsive and effective waste management. The research conclusion confirms that the design of E-Sampah with a focus on the centre point and route of waste collection by waste officers can provide a modern and accessible solution for the people of Gorontalo. The results of the System Usability Scale (SUS) assessment with a score of 80.5 indicate that this waste management information system received a positive response from users. This prototype is expected to change mindsets and shape behaviors that support sustainable waste management.

Abstract

The Grade Management Information System (SIPAN) is a web-based grade information system in the ITB AAS Indonesia informatics study program which is used to support the activities of lecturers in conveying the grades of the courses taught, administrative officers in terms of grade recapitulation, student grade information which is private, and supports activities of the study program coordinator in monitoring the development of academic activities in terms of grades. The aim and objective of developing SIPAN is to assist higher education institutions in managing student grades. With web-based software, lecturers can submit student grades at any time within a predetermined time period and have an internet connection. Likewise with students, they can see their own grades anytime, anywhere, as long as they have an internet connection. The study program coordinator can monitor the extent to which lecturers at their home base match their grades. The expected final result will be the realization of a well-integrated information technology-based student grades management process, neat record keeping, and integration with the Attendance Information System.

Abstract

Recently, posters or images with designs similar to Disney Pixar have been circulating on various social media platforms, such as Instagram and TikTok. With a design that is quite adorable, it is no wonder that the image design created using artificial intelligence (AI) has attracted the attention of people. Seeing the popularity of posters via Bing Image Creator, people can try to create character descriptions according to their favourite cartoons/ animations, such as Disney, via Bing Image Creator. This research simulated the use of Bing Image Creator to teach writing an English descriptive text to be illustrated into an animation or a cartoon. The analysis shows that the Bing Image Creator AI application is currently entertaining to create/produce the images they want without having design or drawing skills. This research is descriptive qualitative research. Teachers/lecturers can ask students to visit or access Bing Image Creator at https://www.bing.com/create. Students need to have a Microsoft account, but if they do not have one, they can create an account first. They sign in using a Microsoft account. After logging in, type the character description into the column provided. They can enter character descriptions as desired. To create a Disney AI cartoon, students can add the words "Disney Pixar style" to the beginning of the character description. They can create more specific commands to turn photos into Disney cartoons. The order may include descriptions such as 1) gender, male or female. 2) character shape, such as face shape, eyes, jaw, nose, cheeks, hair, clothes, position of body parts, and others. 2) certain poses/styles and accessories used. 3) objects worn on body parts, for example, types of clothing, colors, motifs/patterns. 4) objects used or around 5) expression, facial expression, or feeling. 6) activities carried out. 7) shooting angle. 8) surrounding background. To get accurate animated image results, students can write detailed and specific descriptions. Finally, wait for the image to finish and download it. Further research still needs to be carried out to determine students' perceptions of the use of Binh Image Creator in illustrating their written character descriptions of a desired cartoon. Abstract

Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease characterized by unpredictable cycles of remission and flare-ups, making regular monitoring of symptoms essential. However, many people with lupus experience challenges in consistently tracking their health due to brain fog, fatigue, and the wide variation of symptoms, which often leads to missed medication schedules and incomplete symptom records. This study aims to develop a mobile self-management application designed to help individuals with lupus monitor their health, manage their medications, and increase awareness of self-care activities. The development process employed the DMAIC (Define–Measure–Analyze–Improve–Control) framework, with the initial application prototype created using Figma. The prototype was tested with 22 respondents who are people with lupus (ODAPUS) to gather user feedback. The results indicate that users evaluated the application positively and found it beneficial for daily health management. Nevertheless, they recommended simplifying the interface and user flow to enhance usability. These insights will guide further improvements in the next stage of development.

Abstract

Mobile computing revolves around the idea of being able to carry around your computer wherever you go. It is also known as the capacity to engage data and information without being at a certain physical place or network connection. The primary goal of mobile computing is to eliminate the requirement for a physical connection to send data. Mobile computing relies on software, hardware, and wireless communication. This research aims to provide a comprehensive review of mobile computing devices and operating systems from various papers. Essentially, it is a review paper in which most of the central operating systems are defined and compared in terms of security, market coverage, and customer satisfaction. In addition, the security issues, benefits, and limitations of mobile computing are also discussed in detail.

Abstract

This paper explores the integration of Internet of Things (IoT) and Big Data Analytics for optimizing supply chain management. With increasing complexity in global supply chains, traditional information systems fall short in providing real-time visibility, accurate forecasting, and agile decision-making. IoT technology facilitates real-time data collection through sensors embedded in goods, vehicles, and production systems, while Big Data analytics processes these high-volume, real-time data streams to generate actionable insights. By integrating these technologies into a Management Information System (MIS), this paper proposes a framework that enhances supply chain visibility, forecasting accuracy, and responsiveness. The study examines how IoT-enabled sensors and big data analytics improve logistics, inventory management, and risk mitigation. Key challenges, including data security, interoperability, and infrastructure costs, are also addressed. The proposed MIS architecture offers a foundation for building smart, adaptive, and resilient supply chains, transforming decision-making from reactive to proactive. The findings suggest significant improvements in operational efficiency and supply chain agility. This paper concludes with implications for practitioners and calls for further empirical research to validate the proposed system in real-world settings.
