Abstract

In political contestation, the issue of poverty is still considered effective because it can be felt directly by the community. The contestants' use of poverty data for certain political purposes will make the sympathy of many people and prove to be able to gain people's votes because they feel represented. In the process, the contestants, both incumbent and opposition, will look for loopholes in each of their campaign programs regarding poverty suppression. On the other hand, our political contestation event is also still being polluted by the practice of money politics. The wide gap in economic inequality will trigger the practice of money politics. This practice is increasingly widespread by the presence of the rich elite as material givers and voters who are below the poverty line as recipients. Those who receive money sometimes do not really think about the consequences that will be received, such as bribery and vote buying which are clearly against the law, because the most important thing for them is to get money and be able to fulfill their needs. In this case, money politics is also growing and there are many kinds, not only in the form of money but those who carry out this practice will bandage it so that it is not too visible, such as by providing assistance, rewards, and material or other valuable things as well as by promising something. later inserted when campaigning by candidates or campaign teams in political contestations. To discuss these problems, the author uses a qualitative method through a literature study, namely collecting and analyzing data using various relevant references on poverty and money politics. This paper will explain about the existence of political-economic transactions in political contestation, the causal factors, the relationship between poverty and money politics, as well as efforts to prevent money politics in political contestation, which are explained through a poverty perspective.

Abstract

Natural disasters are unexpected events caused by nature, including earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, droughts, floods, volcanic eruptions, landslides and hurricanes. From the several examples of natural disasters above, of course there are a lot of losses in various fields, one of which is in agriculture, with the negative impacts that exist, there needs to be countermeasures to anticipate these negative impacts. One of the steps we can take after a natural disaster occurs to reduce these losses is to mitigate risks. Risk mitigation itself is breaking down (diversifying) into smaller risk parts, and forming an investment portfolio. At training this time, we as a team will provide counseling to MI Cipicung students entitled "Training in Mitigating the Risk of Economic Loss through Diversification and Insurance in the Agricultural Business Sector of Tasikmalaya Regency".

Abstract

Flood is the flow of water at the ground surface that is relatively high and cannot be accommodated by drainage canals or rivers, causing inundation in an amount that exceeds normal and causes harm to humans. This flood disaster usually occurs in the lowlands around rivers, especially rivers that have various environmental problems such as factory waste, plastic waste, soil erosion, and so on. One of the rivers that often experience these flood events is the Citarum River, where the river has the title of the dirtiest river in the world. In order to reduce the impact caused by flooding, a Real Work Lecture (KKN) program was held by conducting community service regarding natural disaster mitigation training as an effort to minimize the impact of the risk of economic loss in the Citarum River basin, West Bandung Regency. The program is aimed at SMPN 1 CIhampelas students who are geographically close to the Citarum watershed. The method used is materialization regarding environmental problems in the Citarum watershed, the causes, and effects of flooding and its prevention, and disaster mitigation carried out when a flood occurs. After conducting the materialization, students were asked to discuss and explain how to mitigate floods when they occur at the school. Based on the results of the materials and tests carried out, it was found that students succeeded in conducting presentations on flood disaster mitigation, understanding the causes and effects of floods and how to prevent them, and understanding the importance of preserving the environment, especially in the Citarum River basin.

Abstract

Agriculture is a form of processing biological natural resources with the help of technology, capital, labor, and management. In Indonesia, agriculture is the main source of livelihood in some areas, one of which is Cibungur village, Parungponteng sub-district, Tasikmalaya district, West Java. With agriculture as the main livelihood in the village, all of these are not spared from the risks that can damage the agricultural sector. With the risks that can occur, there comes a solution to this problem, one of which is insurance. One of the insurance facilities for handling farmer risk is the Agricultural Micro Insurance program, which is expected to provide protection against the risk of uncertainty by providing guarantees for farmers to get working capital for farming from insurance claims. With this insurance, it can also reduce the risks that will occur which may be detrimental in the future. To realize this micro-insurance, we provide guidance to the prosperous farmer cooperative groups to form micro-insurance within the cooperative.

Abstract

Stocks are investment instruments that provide returns but tend to be risky. The most important component of investing is volatility, where volatility is identical to the standard conditional deviation of stock price return. The important thing in investing in addition to return is a risk. Value-at-Risk (VaR) is a statistical method of estimating maximum losses. To evaluate the quality of VaR estimates, models should always be back-tested with appropriate methods. Back-testing is a statistical procedure in which actual gains and losses are systematically compared to appropriate VaR estimates. To evaluate the quality of VaR estimates, models should always be back-tested with appropriate methods. Back-testing is a statistical procedure in which actual gains and losses are systematically compared to appropriate VaR estimates. The goal of the study was to estimate the Autoregressive Moving Average-Generalized Conditional Heteroscedastic (ARMA-GARCH) model to determine Value-at-Risk and back-testing. ARMA is a combination of AR and MA models, while GARCH is a time series model with symmetrical properties. The method in this study is systematic browsing of libraries. Systematic library tracing is an attempt to identify, evaluate, and interpret all research relevant to a particular phenomenon.
