Abstract

This study aimed to determine the degree to which differences were present in the percentages of all students who enrolled in a dual-credit mathematics course in Texas public high schools by their economic status (i.e., economically disadvantaged and all students). The percentages for both groups of students were compared for the 2014-2015 and the 2015-2016 school years. Inferential statistical analyses revealed statistically significant differences in the percentages in dual-credit mathematics course enrollment for all students and students who were economically disadvantaged in both the 2014-2015 and the 2015-2016 school years. For both years, economically disadvantaged students had a lower enrollment rate in dual-credit mathematics courses than all students' percentage enrollment in dual-credit mathematics courses. Implications of these findings, as well as recommendations for future research, were discussed.

This study involved 46 lecturers from Indonesia in different areas, such as South Kalimantan, East Java, Central Java, West Java, Central Sulawesi, South Sulawesi, and Jakarta. The researcher used two instruments to collect the data: semi-structured interviews and questionnaires. The researcher made the data reduction and displayed to analyze the qualitative data, whereas for quantitative data, the researcher analyzed by statistical calculation. Abstract

This study aimed to improve learners' academic performance in Computer Troubleshooting and Repair Techniques at Lal-lo National High School by using YouTube videos with teacher-made learning activity sheets as supplementary materials. The study employed a quasi-experimental design, particularly a one-group pretest and post-test design, in which the intervention was administered to the same participants. The result proved that the learners gained a higher mean on their post-test result than their pretest, indicating a significant difference between the pretest and post-test scores. Moreover, the intervention greatly affected the student's academic performance, particularly on the competency in Computer Troubleshooting and Repair Techniques. YouTube videos can help visual learners and students better understand a subject. These videos can catch students' imagination, especially when face-to-face learning is discouraged owing to the epidemic. The intervention material may be adapted by ICT, TLE teachers, and other disciplines.

Abstract

This study determined the students' degree of awareness at Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU) Sta. Cruz, Laguna in terms of disaster risk reduction and its significance, which was the basis of the LSPU DRRM Center construct. This employed a descriptive- correlational study and used a purposive sampling technique. The results revealed that the respondents had experienced various types of disasters. They are slightly aware, at least, of risk reduction factors anchoring on political commitment, while they are no less than slightly aware of the particulars related to risk reduction measures. Moreover, the results of χ² Tests of Independence revealed that the awareness of Disaster Risk Reduction Factors depends on the individual's exposure to a single or a combination of natural disasters. On the contrary, the extent of awareness of those factors does not depend on the respondent's exposure or experience with global viral diseases and man-made disasters.
