Abstract

Kalampangan peat swamp forests in Central Kalimantan is home for Nepenthes spp. However, the number of Nephentes has been reduced due to massive forest fires and land conversion for housing and agricultural purposes. Nepenthes is a unique plant with ability to prey insects, hence often referred to as 'insectivorous plant'. This study investigates the distribution of Nepenthes spp. in Kalampangan forest through ground check and qualitative descriptive approach. A total of six observation plots measuring of 2m x 2m were used purposively. The results show there are four Nepenthes species found, namely Nepenthes gracilis, Nepenthes mirabilis, Nepenthes gracilis cortis, and Nepenthes ampularia. The highest Morisita index is 1.06 while the lowest one is 1.01.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the process of environmental management and monitoring as a result of the development of the Kahayan Market, which actually has environmental documents. Aspects assessed include community perceptions, water quality and water biota (plankton), and the impact of the development of the Kahayan Market in Palangka Raya City in general. Based on the provisions, the implementation of environmental management and monitoring is carried out by the Palangka Raya City Public Works and Spatial Planning Agency as a joint Initiator with the Kahayan Market Manager/Government Market UPTD. These activities were not carried out, so there was no reporting and evaluation of management and monitoring. Laboratory analysis of physical parameters, namely suspended solids (TSS) at observation point A-2, shows that the water condition has passed the Class II water quality standard required by PP No. 82 of 2001, amounting to 50 mg/l. Analysis of chemical parameters shows that the water chemistry conditions have exceeded the Class II water quality standards required by PP No. 82 of 2001, namely BOD content of 3 mg/l; and COD content of 100 mg/l. Total Coliform at the A-1 observation point was 16,000 MPN/100 ml and at the A-2 point was 92,000 MPN/ml. Other chemical parameters such as Phosphate, and Ammonia content have also exceeded the established standard.

The real WTP falls in the second range (Rp. 5.000,00-Rp. 7.000,00 per person), or Rp. 6.300,00 per visitor precisely. The variables influencing the PAPs value are age: (-0.368814), education (-0.514952), tourist attraction (-3.599377), site cleanness (-1.181992), and satisfaction with tourist attraction (-0.261969).

The sample of the study consisted of 200 people taxpayers service staff Palangka Raya BPPRD Office. Research data in the form of primary and secondary data obtained through observation and questionnaires. Data were analyzed using path analysis, while the job satisfaction variable was an intervening varia-ble and performance was the dependent variable (the dependent variable). From the results of path analysis where the direct effect between service quality on job satisfaction and on performance has a significant effect, and work motiva-tion on job satisfaction is not significant. While the indirect effect (indirect effects) quality of service on performance through job satisfaction with a coefficient of 0.115 is greater than work motivation on performance through job satis-faction by 0.030, meaning that work motivation on performance through job satisfaction has a non-significant effect.

Abstract

Taman Nasional Sebagau (TNS) or Sebangau National Park has been now striving to provide optimal benefits for the community surrounding its area through productive economic business development program, as it did in one buffer village, namely Sebangau Mulya. This program aims to improve community welfare, and as a form of community involvement in preserving the TNS area. However, the success of the program remains questionable. This study aims, first, to examine the development of productive economic business programs in Sebangau Mulya Village. Second, to analyze the effect of such program on the welfare of villagers. The research sample was 40 villagers who received direct assistance from the program. This figure account for 10% of the villagers. Descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression were used to study the relationship of 7 independent variables, namely facilitators (X1), institutions (X2), human resources capacity (X3), skills and knowledge of human resources (X4), type of productive economic assistance (X5), counseling and training (X6) and supervision (X7) with 1 dependent variable, i.e. community welfare. The results show that the program has been providing positive benefits, marked by the increase of cattle and goats number, compared to those provided by TNS management five years before. In addition, the program has been successfully tying villagers and TNS management in maintaining and managing the area according to the planned agenda. The factors that partially influence the beneficiaries welfare is skills and knowledge (X4), which is amounting to 26.80%. Since the community in carrying out productive economic businesses is in accordance with their skills and knowledge so that they are able to develop ideal businesses with the environmental conditions of Sebangau Mulya Village. Other six factors have no significant effect on villagers’ welfare.

Diversity analysis of the plants was determined based on the Shannon-Wiener Diversity index. The results show that there have been sixteen (16) types of Araceae plants that grow in the Jekan Raya sub-district of Palangka Raya City, namely: Xanthosoma sagittifolium, Caladium polkagreen, Alocasia plum-bea, Caladium redflash, Colocasia esculenta, Aglaonema costatum, Homalomena rubescens, Caladium polkagreen, Alocasia plumbea, Caladium redflash, Colocasia esculenta, Aglaonema costatum, Homalomena rubescens, Caladium polkagreen, Alocasia plumbea, Caladium redflash, Colocasia esculenta, Aglaonema costatum, Homalomena rubescens, Caladium polkagreen, Alocasia plumbea, Caladium redflash, Colocasia esculenta, Aglaonema costatum, Homalomena rubescens Caladium pinkburst, Spathiphyllum floribundum, Caladium rosebud, Aglaonema legacy, Caladium redstar, Caladium redbelly, and Caladium hortulanum. The characteristics of the habitat are divided into two types, namely the texture of the soil is loamy, slightly sandy and blackish and the habitat is the texture of peat and blackish.

Abstract

Children are gifts and entrusted from God who are given talents and dignity as a whole creature. During their lifetime, children sometimes face legal problems such as narcotics abuse. This becomes complicated while the child has been married and being a subject against the law. The determination the age limit for children is still a debate because sev-eral laws and regulations provide different figures. This is, indeed, a crucial matter because it will affect legal conse-quence to the children, especially for those who deal with narcotics crime. Based on this point of departure, the authors examine Sampit District Court Decision Number: 03/Pid.SusAnak/2015/PN.Spt regarding narcotics abuse by a married child.
