Abstract

Fishery resources at NorhGorontalo disrict was huge. The potential of Fishery Management Area from Laut Sulawesi to Pasicific Ocean includes around 590.970 ton of pelagicdivided into175.260 ton large pelagic, 384.750 ton small pelagic and the other kind of fish around 30.960 ton. On the other hand, the utilization of fishery resources still minimun that was only 46%. Government at North Gorontalo made capture fisheris as a main program to improve society welfare to minimize the lack of fishery resources utilization. The government should be aware of this situation to formulate and decide each policy. Policy that has been applied in this recent year in NorthGorontalo district was Minapolitan and it was held by the Indonesia Ministry of Marine and Fishery joined with Local Government. So, research of development fishery capture based minapolitan model was needed to designed a policy model as a guide to decide a capture fisheries policy. Methodology that using in this research was surplus production analysis to analyze the fish resource, proper tools to capture fish analysis, and SEM (Structure Equation Modeling) analysis. The result of this research showed that the utilization of fishery resources still lack under MSY (Maximum Sustainable Yield). Some of programs that should be developed were purse seine, hand line tuna,liftnet, hand line, and payang. The objective of minapolitan policy was creating local economic growth and increasing capture fisheries production and guarantee the quality of capture fisheries.

Abstract

Pembudidaya tambak di Kabupaten Tuban terutama pembudidaya udang vannamei menghadapi kondisi lingkungan yang cukup berat bagi pertumbuhan udang, hal ini disebabkan karena banyaknya industri di Kabupaten Tuban misalnya pabrik PT. Semen Gresik Tuban, pabrik TPPI yang berlokasi di tepi pantai utara laut Tuban dimana limbahnya dapat mempengaruhi kualitas air tambak baik secara langsung maupun tidak. Termasuk pembudidaya udang yang ada di desa Kenanti, Kecamatan Tambakboyo dan hampir semua petambak yang ada di sepanjang pantai utara Tuban diprediksikan ikut merasakan pengaruh adanya cemaran yang berasal dari laut (belum terdapat penelitian yang memastikan hal ini), belum lagi yang berasal dari tambak itu sendiri (limbah internal) sehingga wajar apabila saat ini tingkat keberhasilan dalam budidaya udang terutama udang vannamei sangat rendah. Tingkat keberhasilan dalam budidaya udang vannamei terutama pada budidaya udang secara intensif sangat ditentukan oleh kualitas air yang digunakan dalam budidaya dan juga pada teknologi yang telah digunakan. Pemanfaatan rumput laut sebagai biofilter dalam budidaya udang vannamei merupakan teknologi sederhana yang mudah dilaksanakan. biofilter alami. Rumput laut sebagai tumbuhan air yang menyerap degradasi bahan organik untuk pertumbuhan, sehingga mengurangi resiko meningkatnya bahan organik air yang akan diperlukan untuk memelihara udang windu. Suhu dan kecerahan sangat mempengaruhi keberhasilan rumput Iaut sebagai biofilter karena kedua komponen ini akan laju fotosintesis rumput laut dan laju penyerapan bahan-bahan organik. Metode pendekatan yang dipakai pada pelaksanaan program ini adalah dengan melakukan sosialisasi penerapan teknologi penggunaan rumput laut sebagai biofilter alami ini pada kelompok petani yang ada di Kecamatan Tambakboyo melalui pelatihan, kemudian diadakan tambak percontohan sehingga petani tambak dalam mengadopsi teknologi ini dapat lebih mudah memahami.

Abstract

Salah satu kelemahan metode koreksi kolom air adalah dapat memunculkan bias dalam estimasi rasio koefisien atenuasi. Bias ini berkontribusi pada nilai akurasi tematik peta substrat dasar. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan zonasi geomorfologi untuk meningkatkan akurasi tematik peta substrat yang dihasilkan dari metode koreksi kolom air. Nilai piksel citra Quickbird dikonversi ke radiansi dan dilanjutkan dengan koreksi kolom air untuk menghasilkan peta substrat dasar dengan tiga tema: substrat dominan pasir, lamun dan karang. Data lapangan dikelompokkan menggunakan metode Bray curtis dan menjadi dasar bagi reklasifikasi. Profil geomorfologi dicitra disadap dari gabungan kanal hijau dan merah, mengacu pada hasil survei batimetri. Akurasi tematik metode kombinasi ini dapat mencapai lebih dari 80%.

Abstract

The advantage of diet is the most efficient of the number of diet towards fish growth and Feeding Conversion Ratio (FCR) in aquaculture. This research was done in order to discover the effect of different diet dosage towards fish growth and the water and 20 peaces of small fish (4,13 ± 0,08 gr/peaces). This research used experimantal method in Radomized Complete Design (RCD). Tdiet dosage was: A = 3%; B = 5%; C = 7%; D = 9% Biomass weight/day and the replicated 3 times. Results show that the different diet dosage gave significant effect (P < 0,01) on fish specific growth rates and feeding conversion ratio. The best groeth rate and feeding conversion ratio was 4,47% biomass weight/day (4,47 gr/1 kg fish/day).

Abstract

PSP 01 boat is an accustomed boat and also fishing vessels that owned by the Department of Fisheries Resource Utilization (PSP), Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences (FPIK), IPB. These ships use an inboard propulsion four stroke diesel engine from Mitsubishi Canter truck with type 4D30-C. This study aims to describe the modifications to the installation of ship machinery at the PSP 01 boat and describe the suitability of its machinery installation guidelines refer to the FAO in 2009 on the Safety Guide for Small Fishing Boats. These study approach by using case study method in which observation and data collection that includes modifications to the installation of ship machinery PSP 01 and compliance with the FAO guidelines on Safety Guide for Small Fishing Boats. The results obtained that the PSP 01 engine already modified on the ignition system, fuel system, lubrication system, transmission system, and engine cooling system. Based on FAO guidelines in 2009 on the Safety Guide for Small Fishing boats, installation of machinery on PSP 01 boat in bilge pump fullfilled 58.33%, fuel system fulfilled 52.63%, the combustion gas exhaust system met 33.33%, the engine room vents are met 0%, range 85.71% met the electrical installation, battery installation are met 100%, daily checks before turning on the engine are met 75%, daily checks after turning on the engine are met 100%, the examination of every fourteen days are met 20%, and the examination of every 100 -150 hours of engine operation are fulfilled 0%. Based on FAO guidelines in 2009 on the Safety Guide for Small Fishing Boats, installation of Machinery on PSP 01 Boat on a whole scale are fulfilled 47,65%.

Abstract

Remote sensing technology, both optic and acoustic, serves as major tool for mapping bathymetry synoptically and efficiently. In complex coral cays as Kepulauan Seribu, bathymetric profile may change gradually due to naturally controlled reef accretion/erotion, sand/coral exploitation activities, storms, and mostly several types of fishing techniques (muroami and blast fishing). In this paper, elaboration on bathymetric profiles originated from coupled optic-acoustic dataset will be applied in account for understanding reef fish spawning habitats. A total of 17 reef sites were surveyed in situ to record reef fish with spawning cues (eg: female gravid, male change color, aggregation, etc) in between October 2010-March 2012. A 2008 Quickbird imagery and single beam acoustic data were gridded at 1 m by interpolation using Inverse Distance to Power method resulted in 2-dimension and 3-dimension bathymetric maps thus revealing complex detail of seabed at shallow and deeper depths. Terrain profiles depicting lateral view of bathymetric profile for each reef site were used to describe geomorpological features supporting its role as spawning habitat.

Abstract

Illegal fishing activities are basically not just done by foreign fisherman but also carried out by fisherman of Indonesia but they are using the size are smaller that is under 30 gross tonage. Due to the size a small fishing vessels are often allowed by the law enforcement officers due to the influence that is relatively small, whereas in the number of ships that are much smaller of course though its capacity would provide a major problem for the management of fish resources in Indonesia. Fishermen who settled in Brondong East Java is an example of illegal fishing activities as offeriders by loweinr the size of the ship that is lowering the gross tonage. These activities were carried out because the cost of maintaining a very troublesome permission and expensive.
