Abstract

This research is based on the student’ learning outcome of building construction major which is relatively low at under minimum passing grade score 75. Students are toward to be silent, passive, and less in involving on learning process. By NTH learning including the cooperative activity, it is expected to be meaningful learning providing the worthy academic experience for students, and they can possess the active involvement in learning activity. The aim is to discover the learning outcome of students after applied the cooperative learning model using NTH type. The research employs the descriptive method in which the quantitative data is number or score obtained from student’s learning outcome. The research schedule started between September 2016 and October 2016 conducted in SMK-N 1 Palangka Raya. Students of Class X TKBB SMK-N 1 Palangka Raya is selected as research subject participated by 25 person using research instrument on student’s final learning outcome. Each equation in final test sheet is investigated to gain the valid test model by three figures consisting to two lecturer of Department of Building Engineering in University of Palangka Raya and a teacher of Class X TKBB SMK-N 1 Palangka Raya. Previously it is 60 equations of test sheet. The result of validity analysis by ratter, it is obtained at about 40 valid equations. The data analysis utilized the individual and classical passing grade. The research result depicted that the whole learning activity and student’s learning outcome has been complete from 1th to 8th meeting in which it experienced the downward and upward trend. On the first meeting to last meeting, the result has been collected at 60%, 58%, 77%, 78%, 81% for complete learning portion followed by 75%, 75%, 79%, 80,9%, 83,3% categorizing into passing grade status. Then these have been compared to the final test analysis that gained the passing grade result of student’s learning outcome at around 88 % and the achievement level at 76,1 % with complete status. In conclusion, the learning outcome level can be improved by implementing the cooperative learning model with NTH type on material of specification and concrete characteristic, ceramic, and roof-tile for building construction in Class X TKBB SMK-N 1 Palangka Raya at academic year 2016/2017.

Abstract

The problem is lack of active students in following learning process, where teacher becomes an only source knowledge during in classroom of learning process. One solution is use of the group investigation model, where the group investigation model provides students opportunity to be active and expressing their opinions. The purpose of this study is to find out how the student learning outcomes and student responses by using the model group investigation in class X TSM SMK Negeri 1 Palangka Raya. This type of research is quantitative research. The population in this research is student of class X TKR and X TSM SMK negeri 1 Palangka Raya on academy year 2016/2017 at about 85 students. Based on the results of the study, student learning outcome has increased after using group investigation model on basic competence. It described the basic principles of motor fuel in class X TSM SMK Negeri 1 Palangka Raya with the percentage average completeness of student learning outcomes was reaching 76.55 increased from 47.11 and level of achievement in learning process was at 88,80% before applied group investigation model. With the completeness of learning outcome at 76,55 and level of achievement 88,80 the process of applying model of study group investigation in basic competence has described the basic principles of motor fuel achieving the criteria.

Abstract

This research aims to discover whether the positive correlation and significance between student’s perception about the educational mechanical engineering workshop to motivation in following the practical production process at academic year 2016/2017. The one of factors influencing the student’s motivation is perception to mechanical workshop paradigm in which many students stated that practical work is less maximum during implementation. Furthermore, several students showed then less motivation signed less providing own attention to instructor. In this research, it uses the survey type involving data collection method is utilizing the questionnaire and interview. The research subject is university students of 2011/2012/2013 with sample total is 61 students. The data analysis used the moment product correlation. The analysis prerequisite tests are normality test and linearity test followed by SPSSV to be analysis prerequisite test. The result performed that there the positive relationship and significance between student’s perception about mechanical engineering workshop to motivation in attending production process at academic year 2016/2017. It is proved by correlation coefficient value Rxy at about 0.927 and tcount at around 1.985 higher than ttable having value at 1.671 on significance level 0.05.

Abstract

The Drill (Exercise), Results Learning, Image Technique are the topic of study aiming to determine how the learning outcomes of students after doing the learning method Drill (Exercise) in class X Light Vehicle Engineering SMK 1 of Palangkaraya in Academic Year 2016/2017. The population for this study is the class X Light Vehicle Engineering SMK Negeri 1 Palangkaraya totaling 42 students. The collection of data is done using the test, which is in the form of the posttest and observation sheet consisting of student activity sheet, and the student’s questionnaire responses. Date were collected and then analyzed by using the average value of the posttest. Based on the results of data analysis posttest average value of 81.71, all and KKM students exceeds the value set by the school. From this research we can conclude student learning outcomes can be better if you use the learning method Drill (Exercise).

Abstract

This research aimed to know: (1) teacher activity while applying learning of Project Based Learning on the subject matter of the Grinding chisels and cutting tools, (2) student activity of eleventh grade students machining techniques of SMK NEGERI 1 Palangka Raya while following application of learning model of Project Based Learning, (3) students response at eleventh grade students Machining techniques of SMK NEGERI 1 Palangka Raya on learning by using the learning model of Project Based Learning (PBL) on the subject matter of the grinding chisels and cutting tools, (4) the result of student learning of eleventh grade students machining techniques of SMK NEGERI 1 Palangka Raya after following learning model of Project Based Learning (PBL)) on the subject matter of the grinding chisels and cutting tools. This research was quantitative descriptive, this research took subject of eleventh grade students machining techniques of SMK NEGERI 1 Palangka Raya selected as research subject. The instruments used were Cognitive Learning Result Test, Students Activity Sheet, Teacher Activity Sheet and Student Response Questionnaire, and student learning outcomes involving Cognitive and Psychomotor aspects. The results of data analysis indicated that the overall shows that the student activity performed well. The completeness of cognitive learning tests individually there were 27 finished (96%) and 1 unfinished (1%). Classically this learning was said to be completed because the percentage of completeness obtained (90.61%) And students' psychomotor learning achievement test (82%).

Abstract

Learning model was focused on directional communication resulted in students becoming passive in which they slowly understood the concepts taught by teacher and the learning outcomes obtained by students. They have not reached the minimum mastery criteria (KKM) 70 at the academic year 2016/2017 for course subject of production and sheeet metal working. The purpose of this research is to know the Influence of project based learning model on student learning result of x class of machining technique for course subject of production and sheeet metal working at SMKN-1 Palangka Raya at academic year 2016/2017 The type of this research is quantitative research using sample in the form of pretest result and posttest result in class X SMKN-1 Palangka Raya. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental method in which its implementation does not use random assignment (random assignment) but by using existing groups. The sample in this study was all students in class X SMKN-1 Palangka Raya divided into experimental class and control class which is class X TPM as experiment class and class X TPL as control class then the total sample is 56 students, consisting of 28 experimental class students and 28 students of control class. The control class implements a conventional learning model while the experimental class uses a project based learning model. Data collection in this research was using test method, documentation and observation. Based on the results of research and data analysis, it can be concluded that the normality test results obtained data prestest and posttest normal distribution, so that the hypothesis test used t-test obtained price tCount>ttable ( 3,45 > 2,005 ). Because tCount = 3,45, it is greater than ttable = 2,005. Then this means H0 rejected, and H1 being accepted which shows that there is the influence of project based learning model on the significant learning outcomes of students on the material of bench and platen in class X of Engineering Technique SMK Negeri 1 Palangka Raya academic year 2016/2017. So it can be concluded that the results of student learning using project-based learning model (Project Based Leraning) is better than the student learning outcomes that use conventional learning model on production and sheeet metal working subject in class X Machinery Engineering at SMK Negeri 1 Palangka Raya.

Abstract

In the material to carry out overhoul cylinder head course subject, students tend to practice their own and the role of a teacher which is considered as less optimal because the average grade of students of class XI TSM SMK-Negeri 1 Buntok at under KKM 65.00. In the Demonstration Method, the presentation of class is done in a logical order by implementing step by step before the students learn the information and advanced skills. The students first get the basic information and skills exhibited by the teacher or in other words a new skil. It can be delivered if the teacher has demonstrate how the information and skills are. This study aims to determine: (1) Student learning outcomes after applying the method of demonstration, (2) Student response to the method of demonstration learning. This Research Method is Quantitative Descriptive. The population of this research is Xgrade students of Automotive Mechanics of SMK Negeri 1 Buntok with 1 class (34 students). This study took a sample of 34 students Motorcycle Engineering SMK-Negeri 1 Buntok selected as a sample of research. The instrument used is the test of Coqnitif and Psychomotoric Learning, and Student Response, and analyzed using descriptive technique. The results of data analysis showed that the average value of students of class XI Motorcycles Engineering SMK-Negeri 1 Buntok after implementing the learning with the method of demonstration is 79.47. Based on the completeness of the test results that involve 34 students of class XI Motorcycles SMK-Negeri 1 Buntok classically this teaching is said to be thorough because of the percentage obtained 97% (33 people). It shows that learning by application of Demonstration Method reaches the completeness criteria. The required grade is ?85%. Based on the level of Achievement analysis in the learning process that is 91.66%, then this learning process is achieved in accordance with the criteria of the level of achievement of a learning process that is 80% -100%. The result of student response analysis shows that the method of demonstration is the right method used to carry out the learning to implement the cylinder head overhoul. Based on the results of this study can be concluded that the Demonstration Method as one of the alternative learning methods that can be used to convey the material to carry out overhoul cylinder head.

Abstract

The porpose of this research is to find whether the positive ralationship and significance between learning desire to learning outcomes of students at SMK Karsa Mulya Palangka Raya at academic year 2016/2017. Learning motivation is a factor determining the learning achievement thus it was about the emotion to be interest to something stated to provide the benefits and satisfication to ownself. It will boost own role to be participating in activity consciously. This research was adopting the survey type which the data collection method was questionnaire and documentation. The research subject has been students of X grade in TKR and TSM with the total sample was at 75. Moreover, data analysis utilized the product Moment correlation. Analysis of prerequirs in this research clearly used SPSS V.20 application. The outcomes of research indicated that there is the positive relationship and significance and between learning desire to student’s achievemen for studnets at SMK Karsa Mulya at academic years 2016/2017. This is proved by rhitung value at 2,168 > rtabel 1,666. Eventually, every the increament of learning desire, it was followed the improvement of learning achievements.

Abstract

It has been found that there is less optimal learning outcomes of students for the course subject of standard overhaul cooling system indicated by the number of students having the low score at under KKM 70. Teachers have not known what the exact cause of this case. The relation of learning interest with learning outcome would be the research topic conducted to determine whether there is a significant positive relationship or even opposite between them thus it will be reference for teacher to improve student’s learning outcomes to be more optimal. This research used the survey method with correlation approach that is to know the relation of learning interest and student learning outcomes. The subject of this research is all students of class XI-TSM Karsa Mulya Palangka Raya involving 2 classes. The sample used is a saturated sample that takes both classes. The instrument used in this study is a questionnaire using Likert scale followed by the number of statements using 25 items that have been validated with 0.89 (reliability). The results obtained that the average score of student interest in the class XI-TSM is equal to 101.387 with as many as 48.39% or as many as 30 students have scores below average and 51.61% or as many as 32 students (scores above average). The student learning outcomes obtained an average score of 76.37 with 37.1% and 23 students have scores below the average learning achievement and as much as 62.9% or as many as 39 students have scores above the average. Moreover, the total students are 50 students expressing the successful target and 12 students were failed. The normality test results have obtained the student's interest in learning data is normally distributed. From the calculation obtained r xy (rcount) is 0.689, while the value of rtable with the significant level of 0.05 and degrees of freedom (db) n - 2 is 0.254. Thus, since (rhitung = 0.689)> (rtabel = 0.254) there is a significant correlation or correlation between learning Interest (X) with Learning Outcomes (Y). Then hypothesis testing is H0 rejected and Ha accepted (Ha: r ? 0). Furthermore, hypothesis testing using t-test has obtained tcount value> ttable (7,750> 2,000). Because thitung = bigger than ttabel then H0 rejected Ha accepted. All in all, the conclusion that there is a significant positive relationship between the learning interest with student learning outcomes on the course subject of standard overhaul cooling system in the class XI-TSM Karsa Mulya Palangka Raya at academic year 2016/2017.

Abstract

In general, the teaching and learning process in the classroom are using conventional media, in the form of images, as well as the teacher explaining by using lecture method is difficult for students to be understood regarding the engineering courses such as air compressor subject. By using conventional media on subjects Hydraulic System Maintenance and Air Compressors, those subjects are at the average score of students measuring the cognitive condition at about still below KKM 70 or 68. Media animation is one of the options of learning media that can be used to overcome these problems, so that is expected to increase student scores from previous score. The purpose of this study was to know the influence of media use like animation to the learning outcomes of students on the hydraulics subject. This research used experimental research applying True Type Design Posttest - Only Control Design. This research population is all students of class X TSM and TKR at academic year 2016/2017 in SMK Karsa Mulya Palangkaraya. Sample of research is a class X TKR at around 40 students as a class experiment and X TSM A at total of 36 students as the control class. Both samples were taught differently, classroom learning experiment with animation media teaching and control class treatment using the conventional learning media. In this study, it will be assessed there are 3 domains. The division of the realm is cognitive learning outcomes by 50%, 20% for affective aspect and psychomotor at 30%. Instrument on cognitive tests is a matter of learning outcomes, then the affective aspect and psychomotor were using observation sheet. Based on the research and analysis of data, it can be concluded that the results of data normality test students learning outcomes in experimental class and control class have performed the normal distribution and homogeneous term. The hypothesis test using ttest was obtained price for thitung> ttable 6.9> 2.032. Then H0 is rejected followed H1 accepted. This meant that there is the effect of using animation media to student learning outcomes in a hydraulics course subject.
