Abstract

The advancement of information technology continues to grow in line with increasing societal needs, particularly in the era of globalization. Various sectors such as transportation, communication, healthcare, and education demonstrate that technology has become an essential part of daily life. One significant application of this technology is the use of web-based information systems, which can enhance data processing speed, support decision-making, and save both time and cost. SMA Negeri 1 Mande, located in Mande District, Cianjur Regency, still manages extracurricular activities manually. This has led to various problems, including errors in recording new member data, activity scheduling, attendance tracking, achievement documentation, submission of permission letters, and funding requests. In addition, data retrieval is often difficult due to damaged or disorganized documents. Competition announcements are still delivered verbally, and communication between students and extracurricular advisors is not optimally facilitated. This study aims to develop a Web-Based Extracurricular Activity Management Information System using the PHP programming language and the Laravel framework. The system is designed to automate processes such as member registration, data management, activity scheduling, attendance recording and reporting, and online submission of letters. Communication features such as live chat and discussion forums are also provided to support interaction between supervisors and members. The results of this study produced an information system that improves the efficiency and effectiveness of extracurricular activity management and can be integrated with the school’s operational needs. Based on the testing results, the system accelerated the registration process by up to 60% and attendance recording by 50% compared to manual methods.

Abstract

Learning Management Systems (LMS), especially Moodle, have become integral tools in modern education, enabling efficient management of teaching materials, assignments, and assessments. This study aimed to develop and integrate a Moodle plugin for automating Function Point (FP) calculations, a method used in software engineering education to estimate development complexity. The research focused on creating an Activity Module plugin that automates the FP calculation process, reduces manual grading efforts, and provides immediate feedback to students. The plugin underwent functional testing, including Requirement Verification, UI Testing, Integration Testing, and Output Validation, to assess its performance. The results demonstrated that the plugin successfully automated the calculation of Unadjusted Function Points (UFP) and Value Adjustment Factor (VAF), with accurate results and seamless integration into Moodle’s core modules such as assignment creation, grading, and user management. Testing confirmed that the plugin met all functional requirements, and the UI and integration worked as intended. The study concluded that the FP plugin is a viable alternative to traditional FP instruction, delivering time saved, error reduction, and reduced manual grading effort. Limitations of the study include the small-scale testing, and future research should focus on evaluating scalability for larger classes and assessing its impact on student learning outcomes. Further development could explore integrating advanced features like analytics and AI-assisted feedback to enhance the learning experience.

Abstract

Many companies in the bulk water distribution sector still rely on manual recording systems, which often lead to scheduling conflicts, delivery inaccuracies, and inefficient payroll management. Recent studies highlight the need for integrated information systems to optimize logistics and operational efficiency in similar industries. This study aims to design and implement an integrated information system model to optimize the distribution of bulk water from suppliers to drinking water depots. The research adopts a qualitative approach, combining literature review, field observation, and in-depth interviews. System design follows the Waterfall model, with UML modeling and Black Box Testing for validation. The developed system successfully automates scheduling, generates delivery orders, recapitulates shipment data, and manages driver payroll. Empirical testing showed scheduling time was reduced from 45–60 minutes to 10–15 minutes (~75% faster), payroll reporting from 2–3 hours to under 30 minutes (~80% faster), and data recap from up to 2 hours to instant (~100% faster). All functions were validated through testing, showing no logical errors. The integrated information system model significantly improves the efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of bulk water distribution. Future research may incorporate mobile technology and GPS tracking for enhanced real-time monitoring.

Abstract

This research is based on the process and analysis conducted at one of the software houses in Cianjur district named Madtive Studio. Madtive Studio is a software house engaged in Information Technology, Systems and Branding which was established in 2015. The main focus of this company is the development of application systems for all types of companies ranging from retail, services, distributors and manufactures. This is done in order to become a benchmark for the author in carrying out research. The author found 3 factors as follows: (1) Input and reporting of data still use conventional methods. (2) Confusion when controlling work. (3) Difficulty in reporting work. For this reason, a HR management program is needed so that the ongoing procedures are well-systematic and will make it easier for owners and employees to input and report data. Making the system usually begins with an analysis process, but the process of gathering system requirements is not always found in the analysis process. In this study, the system design that the author uses is the extreme programming (XP) method. Method (XP) is needed to design a system that will be made by taking into account the needs and desires of users. In (XP) feedback from users becomes one of the important values. The result of the research is a system design with only one display, which is based on Android with a firebase database. This will make the user more simple but useful

Abstract

The development of educational games holds significant potential for interactively instilling environmental conservation concepts, such as reduce, reuse, and recycle (3R). However, varying player skill levels often lead to boredom when a game is too easy, or frustration when it is too difficult. Although Reinforcement Learning (RL)-based Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment (DDA) has proven effective in balancing difficulty levels in action or MOBA genres, its application in educational waste management games remains underexplored. This study aims to develop an educational game titled "Resik" and implement a DDA mechanism using the Proximal Policy Optimization (PPO) RL algorithm, enabling the game's difficulty to adjust to player proficiency adaptively and in real-time. This research employs a Research and Development (R&D) and experimental approach. The adaptation parameters include the waste spawn rate, mission timer, sorting error rate, and NPC speed. The RL model was developed and integrated into the Unity Engine for the Android platform. Evaluation was conducted through bot simulations (15 iterations) and field trials involving 50 students from SMKS Bina Bangsa Pertiwi. The integration of the PPO RL algorithm into the game engine was successfully implemented, allowing the game to respond to player performance and dynamically adjust the difficulty. The application of RL-based DDA proved effective in maintaining the gameplay experience within the adolescent players' flow zone. These findings contribute to the development of adaptive educational games while simultaneously supporting the improvement of waste management literacy.
