Abstract

AbstractIntroduction: Each year, approximately 15 million people worldwide have a stroke. In Indonesia based on the census of population and demography Indonesia (SKDI) in 2010 as many as 3.6 million per year with a prevalence of 8.3 per 1,000 population. Stroke is a neurological disease that appeared suddenly in a short time. One of the clinical manifestations of the most common is hemiparese. Complications hemiparese in muscles and joints is muscle atrophy and joint contractures. One treatment technique to prevent these complications is the Range Of Motion (ROM) passive exercise.Objective: (1) Identify the characteristics of stroke patients with loss of consciousness (2) Identify the muscle power stroke patients with loss of consciousness (3) to analyze the influence Range Of Motion (ROM) of the passive muscle strength in stroke patients with loss of consciousness. Method: This research is quasy experiment with design one-group pretestposttest design. The population in this study were 13 stroke patients with critical conditions in Space High Care Unit Hospital Dr Moewardi in Surakarta. Samples were taken by sampling saturated. Data were analyzed with the Wilcoxon or Z test using SPSS for windows 16 series.Result: (1) The muscle strength before passive ROM was 11 people (68.8%) is trace, 5 people (31.2%) is poor, and of zero muscle strength, fair, good, and normally does not exist. (2) Muscle strength stroke after passive ROM is 7 (43.8%) of respondents with poor muscle strength scale, 9 people (56.2%) fair, and scale of zero muscle strength, trace, good, and normally there is not exist(0%). (3) The results of the statistical Wilcoxon or Z test significance value (p) of 0000 which means that there are differences in muscle strength scale before and after passive Range Of Motion. (ROM) patients with loss of consciousness. Conclusion: Range Of Motion (ROM) is effective for improving muscle strength for stroke patients with loss of consciousness in H ospital Dr Moewardi Surakarta Keywords: Stroke, Hemiparese, Range Of Motion

Abstract

AbstractIntroduction: Infant massage is a touch therapy oldest known to the public. Infant massage is one of the communication between mother and child is communication through touch. Infant massage has been known to man for a long time and reduced down - generations. Age 1-12 months is a period of rapid growth that is traversed by the child, including motoric development. Infant massage can provide a stimulus to promote weight and to increase motoric development.The purpose: Of this study was to correlate of infant massage and motoric development in infants aged 1-12 months in District Pundungsari Bulu Sukoharjo.The subjects: Were mother with infants aged 1-12 months, in the District Pundungsari. Sampling is done with total sampling technique. They are 33 sample in this research.Methods: This study was a non-experimental studies, correlation approach. Data obtained by the method of questionare, which is mother has filled the questionare about baby massage in infants aged 1-12 months and motoric development. The data have been collected and analyzed by chi square with p= 0.05. The research found that respondents do baby massage with continue and not continue and motoric development found delayed, normal and advance. After the test results obtained chi square p 0.000 to p <0.05, which means Ha accepted and Ho rejected.The conclusion: Of this study is infant massage correlate with motoric development in infants aged 1-12 months in District Pundungsari Bulu Sukoharjo.Keywords: Infant massage, motoric development

Abstract

ABSTRACTIntroduction: This study was stress is the body’s response is not specific to any load and demands. Based on observations in the Academy of Nursing Panti Kosala Surakarta especially in level IIA, the authors conducted research at random to ask direct. Most of them complained of stress and dizziness since the coursework overload and besides asking also carried out objectively the data retrieval with observations. From observations made, there are approximately 10 students from 43 students experiencing symptoms such as anxious, tense and not accept lessons concentration and 4 of them have often complained of pain during a lecture.The purpose of the research: Was to find out the relationship stress levels with decreased immune system on student level IIA Academy of Nursing Panti Kosala Surakarta.The Subject of research: Is the entire student level IIA Academy of Nursing Panti Kosala Surakarta amounted to 43 people. The technique used is the saturated samples. Saturated samples is a way of sampling by taking all members of the population to be sampled.The result of the research: Was the number of respondents who experienced mild stress levels of 23 respondents (53,5%) and respondents who experienced a decline in the immune system when it is being stressed that by 30 respondents (69,8%). From the Chi Square test results with the program SPSS version 18.0 with α = 5% (0,05) acquired p of 0,024. The value of less than 0,05 Ha accepted meaning and Ho is rejected.Conclusion of the research: Was the existence of relationship stress levels with decreased immune system on student level IIA Academy of Nursing Panti Kosala Surakarta.Keywords: Stress Levels, Decreased Immune System

Abstract

ABSTRACTIntroduction: The increasing prevalence of diabetes in the world led to an increase in cases of amputation due to diabetes complications. Epidemiological studies reported more than one million amputations are performed on people with diabetes each year. Therefore, prevention and appropriate management of lesions of the foot is the most important thing. The development of wound care is growing very rapidly in the world of health.Objective: This study aimed to compare the motivation of the use of modern dressings in patients with diabetic ulcers in the Wonolopo and Kalijirak villagedistrict of Karanganyar.Methods: This study is a comparative analytical study design to compare the motivation of the use of modern dressings in patients with diabetic ulcers in the Wonolopo and Kalijirak village district of Karanganyar.Respondents: The study sample was taken from the population of people who have diabetic ulcers in the Village Kalijirak as much as 20 and as many as 20 Wonolopo village.Results: Based on the results of independent sample t test with SPSS for Windows series 18 with α = 5% (0.05), obtained p equal to 0825 which means p> 0.05 it indicates that Ha is not accepted, which means there is no difference in motivation to use modern dressings in patients with diabetes mellitus with diabetic ulcers among respondents in the Village and Village Wonolopo Kalijirak.Keywords: Motivation, Modern dressings, Wound care

Abstract

AbstractIntroduction: An increase in the rate of population growth in Indonesia is increasingly rapidly. One way to control the rate of population growth is by family planning program (KB). Growing family planning programs are administered by the Government, is also increasingly developing contraceptives, such as pills, IUD, implants, sterilizing men, seterilisasi women, condoms, periodic abstinence and copulation is disconnected. In addition to the function to control the population, AKDR and contraceptive injection had side effects, the most important is related to disorders of menstruation. From the results of a survey in Desa Beruk retrieved data. There are 154 KK which resides and 52 KK are acceptors KB which includes AKDR and contraceptive injection and some of them also complained of experiencing menstrual disorders.The Purpose: To tell the difference between the mother's menstrual cycle which uses AKDR and contraceptive injection in Desa Beruk Kabupaten Karanganyar.Methods: This study is a comparative analytical research by design with cross sectional design.Subjects: Acceptors KB type AKDR and syringe in Desa Beruk Kabupaten Karanganyar amounted to 52 people. The sample in this study is taken based on table Krecjie so obtained the result total sample of 44 people. Sampling simple random way (simple random sampling).Results: Menstrual cycle most often in AKDR is normal usage with a range between 12 and 28 days, whereas in the use of contraceptive injection cycles most often happens is polimenore with the average cycle is 19 days with a range of 14 to 30 days. Mann Whitney test results was p = 0,032.Conclusion: Because the value of p can be inferred then 0.05 < that there are meaningful differences between the menstrual cycle on the use of AKDR and menstrual cycle use of contraceptive injection.Keywords: the difference, menstrual cycle, contraceptive injection, AKDR

AbstractIntroduction: People with Diabetes Mellitus have poor circulation, especially in areas far from heart, these causing the length of time of wounds healing. One of the interventions to improve the peripheral tissue perfusion of patients with Diabetic Ulcer is lower extremity elevation.Purpose: The purpose of this research is describe the characteristics of respondents, knowing Diabetic Ulcer healing process without lower extremity elevation, knowing Diabetic Ulcer healing process with lower extremity elevation and knowing the effectiveness of Diabetic Ulcer healing without lower extremity elevation and with lower extremity elevation.Research Methods: This research is to design an quasy experiment non equivalent control group design and analysis data used Independent T TestResearch Results: Results of this research is the elevation of lower extremities more effectively to increased Ulcers Diabetic healing process. It’s evidenced by Independent T Test obtained p = 0,000Conclusion: Elevation of lower extremities more effectively to increased Diabetic Ulcer healing in patients with Diabetic Ulcer in Melati I RSUD Dr. Moewardi.Advice: Lower extremity elevation expect can be applied in patients with Diabetic Ulcer.Key Words: Lower Extremity Elevation, Diabetic Ulcer Healing Process

Abstract

Background. Some study showed that celery of many substances such asglukoside apiin, isokuersetin, umbiliseron, calsium, triptofan and also somevitamins. The substance have pharmalogical effect, one of them is reducing theblood pressure.The purpose Of this study was to determine the effect of consuming celery toreduction of high blood pressure in elderly who suffered hypertension.The subject Used in this study were the elderly who suffered hypertensionSringin village. The sampling technique used total sampling and the total numberof sampling were 35 people.Methods Used in this study was pre experiment design. 10 peoples consumingcelery once a day, 10 peoples consuming celery twice a day and 15 peoplesconsuming celery more than three times a day. All the people was suggested toconsuming celery during one month. The blood pressure was measured twotimes, before and after consuming celery. Data processing used paired t-teststatistical test with significan level α = 0,05.Conclusion The result showed p = 0,0001. It can be concluded that consumingcelery gave significant effect on reducing blood pressure in elderly withhypertension.Keywords: reduction in high blood pressure,celery

Abstract

Background. Hypertension is a leading cause of death in the world. Mostpatients who suffered from hypertension show lack of knowledge about how tocontrol their blood pressure. If the patient doesn’t control their blood pressure, itwill precipitate many complication such as CVA, coronary heart disease (CHD)and cronic kidney disease (CKD).Purpose. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship betweenknowledge of hypertension and the people’s act to control their blood pressure.Subjects. The subject used in this study was the people of Dukuh Bantulan.The technique sampling was probability sampling and the total number ofresponden were 292 people.Methods. This study used a corelation design with cross sectional approach.Data were collected using a questionaire consist of 18 question duringApril – Mei 2013. Data processing used chi – square statistical test withsignifican level α = 0,03.Result. The result showed x2 count > x2 table (1,524 > 1,074). It can beconcluded that knowledge about hypertension has related to the people’s act tocontrol their blood pessure.Keywords : hypertension, blood pressure

Abstract

Background. Health education is a planned process of change in behavior onthe individual or community to be more self-sufficient in achieving life goals se,attitudes and community practices in maintaining and improving health.The purpose to determine the effect of health education on the knowledge andskills in the treatment of breast in women post partumMethod using pre post experimental with a total sample of 25 respondents. Theresult showed no conclusions on the effect of health education knowledge andskills in the treatment of breast in women postpartum hospital. Dr. OenSurakarta. This is evidenced by the amount of 0.01 t α = 9.313 and t table =2.797 for knowledge, while for the results obtained skills t α 0,01 = 10.303 and ttable = 2.797. This study data analysis using Paired Test.The conclusion. There pendidikanpendidikan influence the health of theknowledge and skills in the treatment of breast in women postpartum in RS Dr.Oen Surakarta.Keywords : Health education, knowledge of breast care and breast care skills

Abstract

Background Playing is an activity that can be done as an effort to stimulate thechild's growth and development. Playing for the children at hospital can be amedium to express feelings of relaxation and distract of discomfort due toillness.The purpose of this study was determine the effect of playing therapy withsolitary paly on healing process of children aged 2-3 years with DengueHemorragic Fever who hospitalized at Teratai ward of Dr.Oen Surakarta.Methods This study used a pre-experiment design with one shot case studyapproach. The playing therapy was done in 8 patients consisted 3 boys and 5girls. Data were collected using an observation sheet. Data processing used tteststatistical test with significance level α : 0.05.The conclusion The result showed t count > t table (2.379 > 2.365). It can beconcluded that solitary play therapy gave significant effect fever at Teratai ofDr.Oen Surakarta hospital.Keywords : Play Therapy, Healing Process
