Abstract

Background: The learning process requires learning media components, one of which is to achieve the expected results. More interactive learning media was created to suit current conditions and accomplish this goal. In this case, the researcher designed and implemented a type of video-based learning media using the Videoscribe program in the Water Resources Development Course to increase students' understanding and mastery of Irrigation Buildings. Methods: The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D) and uses the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) development model. The subjects involved in this research were 3 experts for testing media aspects and independent aspects. The results of the validation by three experts obtained very good criteria. The research, it was carried out on students of the Class of 2020 Building Engineering Education Study Program FPTK UPI by holding an initial test, 3 treatment meetings, and a final test.Result: The research results show that: (1) The feasibility of Videoscribe learning media is included in the Very Good category. (2) There is an increase in student learning outcomes after being given treatment in terms of the average N-Gain value in the medium category. Conclusion: The feasibility of videoscribe media in the Water Resources Development Course can be said to be feasible to implement, seen from the learning outcomes, students experience increased learning outcomes.

Abstract

Background: This research is motivated by the problems faced by grade XI DPIB students at SMK Negeri 3 Boyolangu, namely the lack of availability of learning media and students' difficulties in determining the basic formula for calculating the volume of building construction. The purpose of this research and development is to produce flipbook-based e-module media on class XI Construction Cost Estimation Subjects; to find out its feasibility and practicality based on experts and students; and to find out the effectiveness of using flipbook-based e-modules in learning. Methods: The method used is research and development (R&D) by applying the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Data collection instruments using preliminary instruments (interviews and observations), validation questionnaires include media experts and material experts, student response questionnaires, and cognitive test questions (pre-test and post-test).Results: (1) The results of flipbook-based e-module products have advantages in ease of use and a variety of features, including: interactive buttons, backsound for flipping, image pop-ups, youtube video pop-ups, web hyperlinks, and quiz games, so as to be able to present a clearer visualization of the material and encourage student enthusiasm for learning. (2) Media eligibility obtained a score from media experts of 96% and from material experts of 93%, this score is included in the category of very feasible. While the practicality of the media was obtained from the user response questionnaire, obtaining an average percentage of 88% with very practical criteria. (3) The effectiveness of the use of media in learning obtained an N-Gain Score of 0.63 with the criterion "moderate".Conclusion: Based on the test results, it is concluded that the developed flipbook-based e-module media is effectively used to improve student understanding.

Abstract

Background: This research is motivated by the emergence of symptoms of low learning independence which will result in the quality of learning outcomes. This study aims to: 1) Understand the influence of student learning independence on work readiness owned by class XII students of the Construction and Property Business Skills (CPBE) Program at SMK Negeri 2 Makassar, 2) Understand the influence of student self-efficacy on work readiness owned by class XII students of the CPBE Program at SMK Negeri 2 Makassar, 3) Understand the influence of learning independence and student self-efficacy on work readiness owned by class XII students of the CPBE Program at SMK Negeri 2 Makassar. Methods: This research uses a quantitative approach. The population in this study were XII grade students of the CPBE Program at SMK Negeri 2 Makassar, with a sample size of 56 students. Results: Based on the results of the analysis, shows that there is a tendency that the better the learning independence and self-efficacy received, the better the students' work readiness, and vice versa, the lower the learning independence and self-efficacy received by students, the lower the students' work readiness. Conclusion: The conclusions obtained are: 1). There is a positive influence between student learning independence on work readiness of class XII students in the CPBE Program at SMK Negeri 2 Makassar, 2). There is a positive influence between student self-efficacy and work readiness in class XII students of the CPBE Program at SMK Negeri 2 Makassar, 3). There is a positive influence between learning independence and student self-efficacy on work readiness in class XII students of the CPBE Program at SMK Negeri 2 Makassar

Abstract

Background: The implementation of a workshop layout that is not following the 2010 ILO & IEA regulations can cause work accidents, hence the need for OHS implementation in woodworking workshops. The objectives of this research are: (1) to determine the suitability of the layout of the Woodworking Workshop of DPTSP UNY with the 2010 ILO & IEA regulations. (2) To determine the suitability of the K3 implementation of the woodworking workshop of DPTSP UNY with SNI 45001 2018.Methods: The research method used in this study is descriptive static with a percentage scale. This research was conducted at the Woodworking Workshop of DPTSP UNY with the research sample being lecturers, technicians, and students who were using the workshop. Data was collected using a questionnaire with a Guttman scale. Results: The study yielded the following data: (1) There is conformity between the layout of the Woodworking Workshop and the ILO & IEA regulations with an average of 78%. (2) There is conformity of K3 in the woodworking workshop with SNI 45001 with an average of 90%.Conclusion: The suitability of the layout of the woodworking workshop can facilitate the movement of woodwork with the availability of tools that are quite complete, and the layout of the equipment makes it easy for students to find tools, besides that the storage and maintenance of tools is very well maintained. The suitability of K3 in the woodworking workshop provides a high guarantee of safety if it is supported by the discipline of using the correct work procedures and adherence to procedures. In addition, the room with K3 standard criteria to create a safe, comfortable, and healthy environment in carrying out practical activities.
