Abstract

Bangka Belitung Islands is a province that has great potential in the development of the fisheries sector, especially the aquaculture of vaname shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei). One of the companies engaged in fishery at the stage of growing vaname shrimp is PT. Bangka Belitung Maritime Prosperity. In this regard, efforts must be made to develop the cultivation business. One of them is through partnership cooperation. The purpose of this thesis research is to describe the form of business partnership pattern between PT. Bangka Belitung Maritim Sejahtera with partners who join, examine the strengths and weaknesses in the implementation of the partnership and analyze the efforts made by PT. Bangka Belitung Maritim Prosperous in maintaining partnership relations. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach and data collection techniques using documentation, observation and interviews. Sampling through purposive sampling technique that begins with the general manager of PT. Bangka Belitung Maritim Sejahtera then turned to four other partners. The results showed that there are three types of partnership patterns that exist in PT. Bangka Belitung Maritim Sejahtera, namely the sub-contract partnership pattern, the general trade partnership pattern and the plasma core partnership pattern. This partnership pattern resulted from a partnership between PT. Bangka Belitung Maritim Sejahtera with five partnering companies/groups. The advantages of implementing a vaname shrimp enlargement business partnership at PT. Bangka Belitung Maritim Sejahtera is the provision of consultation and guidance on cultivation, providing input for production facilities, obtaining technical knowledge, guaranteeing market certainty, strengthening the company's brand image and opening opportunities to support the prospect of sustainable agribusiness partnerships in the fisheries sector. While the weaknesses in the implementation of this partnership are the buying and selling price determined by the partner company, the absence of a written contract agreement between the core company and the partner company, the delivery process of shrimp fry that is not good, and late payments made by partner companies. Efforts made by PT. Bangka Belitung Maritim Sejahtera in maintaining partnership relationships are conducting interactive communication with partner companies, building a good cooperation system, providing handling of problems that occur, holding the principle of mutual trust, supporting partner companies in business development, and updating information through group chat applications and the company website. .

Abstract

The existence of the COVID-19 pandemic has become a scourge for the community and several Indonesian sectors, including the fisheries sector. The rapid spread of COVID-19 prompted the government to issue regulations requiring people to carry out large-scale social restrictions. This policy causes community activities and aquaculture production to decrease, consumption of freshwater fish. This study aims to analyze the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the welfare level of freshwater fish cultivators in Toboali District, and examine the efforts made by freshwater fish cultivators in Toboali District to maintain their business during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study uses a survey method conducted on several freshwater fish cultivators in Toboali District with the criteria that the cultivators have been cultivating freshwater fish for 2 years and only do the enlargement. The data were analyzed using a descriptive approach. Based on the results of research that the Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on decreasing household income, increasing household spending, and decreasing the quality of education for household members. The declining income of farmers was due to the closed culinary business and the low selling price of fish. The household expenditure of fish cultivators consuming freshwater in a month during the COVID-19 pandemic increased because farmers had to pay bank loan installments. The declining quality of education occurs due to several factors from online learning and children who help work. Various efforts made by freshwater fish cultivators to maintain their business during the COVID-19 pandemic are family members coming to work, reducing the amount of production, reducing household expenses, looking for alternative jobs, utilizing social networks, using social media as a marketing medium, making bank loans. , and maintain fish quality.

Abstract

Karang Bongkot Village, is one of the villages in Labuapi District, West Lombok, where one of the economic sources of residents from the fisheries sector is ornamental fish cultivation. The obstacle often faced by cultivators is the condition of the water which is easily dirty due to the buildup of leftover feed and feces from fish. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide knowledge about the use of Azolla pinnata plants to maintain water quality in Platy Sword fish farming ponds. This activity was held on October 1, 2022 at the residence of Mr. Andik who is one of the Platy Sword fish cultivators. The method of implementing this activity includes direct practice accompanied by discussion. The result of the activity is the application of the use of Azolla plants as phytoremediation agents to maintain water quality in Platy Sword fish ponds. In addition, several other benefits of the Azolla plant itself were presented, such as a mixture of animal feed ingredients and the basic ingredients of natural fertilizers

Abstract

Aquascape is one form of media that can be used for fish maintenance, especially ornamental fish for home scale. Aquascape itself is the identity of life that represents the original habitat of fish. Physically, the aquarium is only a place or container. Aquascape is the art of combining aquatic plants and ornamental fish in water media. However, the existing Aquscape products are generally large in size with expensive prices so that they can only be reached by large consumers such as hotels, restaurants, and offices. The use of mangrove waste is an alternative and also the use of natural materials that are environmentally friendly. Aquascape can meet the needs of the middle to lower market and accommodate the needs of office workers who do not have a large space or place to put an aquarium, so the mini Aquascape business becomes very promising. Some of the problems faced in presenting the natural atmosphere, starting from the fish that cannot survive to the dirty and mossy fish Aquascape quickly. By conducting training on making mini Aquascapes and fish rearing techniques, especially ornamental fish, it is hoped that it can provide information to coastal community fishermen to try to apply it to home micro scale. The method used is field observation, coupled with literature studies and socialization to fishermen on the Sulamanda coast.

Abstract

With the increasing global population, providing enough food to meet the increasing demand has become a major challenge for the food-producing sectors. Shrimp is a leading commodity in Indonesia, and their production plays an important role in the aquaculture industry. However, shrimp farming causes various types of pollution that damage the environment and aquatic biodiversity, the related impacts must be mitigated to ensure the sustainability of shrimp production. BBPBAP Jepara as an aquaculture technology developer and reviewer institution conducts environmental studies on the technology being developed. This study conducted a life cycle assessment (LCA) on shrimp farming under the Milenila Shrimps Farming system in the Jepara BBPBAB pond area. Midpoint environmental impacts including acidification potential (AP), eutrophication potential (EP) and global warming potential (GWP) were determined. Feed production was identified as the main contributor to AP and GWP for the MSF system, regardless of feed formula. While the environmental performance of feed production is highly dependent on feed conversion ratio, feed ingredients are another determining factor in which animal protein sources, including poultry by-products and fish meal, show a high contribution to AP and GWP. The use of shrimp feed is the largest contributing component of the three impacts, especially with the highest EP. Feed is the highest potential source of impact because the material used has a fish meal component which is the result of marine exploitation which has been quite large so far. In addition, other feed components are agricultural products imported from other countries which are cultivated intensively, one of which is soybean and wheat raw materials, which in their cultivation system still use chemicals and fertilizers intensively.
