Abstract

This study investigates the effect of job satisfaction on psychological well-being among Indonesian Special Needs School (SLB) teachers, a group facing unique professional demands. Despite prior research linking job satisfaction and well-being in general populations (e.g., Tenggara et al., 2008), SLB teachers remain understudied despite their critical role and challenges (Firmansyah & Widuri, 2014). Using purposive sampling, data from 116 SLB teachers were collected via Ryff’s Psychological Well-Being Scales and Job Satisfaction Survey, and analyzed through simple linear regression. Results confirmed a significant positive effect (p=0.000), with job satisfaction explaining 27.9% of well-being variance, while demographic factors (e.g., education level, marital status) further influenced outcomes. Psychological well-being was high overall, but job satisfaction averaged medium, highlighting gaps in institutional support. The study contributes to industrial-organizational and positive psychology literature by empirically validating this relationship in SLB teachers and suggesting targeted interventions (e.g., improved salaries, social support) to enhance their welfare.

Abstract

The integration of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies in humanitarian aid holds transformative potential for conflict zones but faces critical challenges, including infrastructure degradation, cybersecurity risks, and ethical dilemmas. This study systematically reviews 75 peer-reviewed sources (2019–2024) using the PRISMA methodology to analyze IoT adoption barriers and innovations. Findings reveal that decentralized architectures (e.g., blockchain, mesh networks) and AI-driven security (e.g., intrusion detection) can mitigate infrastructure and cyber vulnerabilities, while participatory design and ethical frameworks address techno-colonialism and data sovereignty concerns. The research contributes actionable recommendations for scalable, culturally sensitive IoT deployments, emphasizing hybrid connectivity (LoRa, satellite) and sustainable practices (biodegradable sensors). Implications include fostering multi-stakeholder collaboration, standardized protocols, and longitudinal field testing to ensure resilience and equity in humanitarian operations. This study bridges theoretical and practical gaps, offering a holistic roadmap for ethically grounded IoT solutions in high-risk environments.

Abstract

This study adopts a food design approach to investigate the impact of local identity on traditional cuisine belonging to the community of the Sentani people. The background highlights the importance of understanding and maintaining a unique cultural and culinary heritage when developing dining experiences that respect cultural roots. The ultimate goal was to integrate local identity into the food design. The two key questions were: (1) How can local identity be reflected in food components, such as raw materials, cooking techniques, and presentations? (2) How can food design that considers local identity enhance the dining experience? The research method involved the analysis of secondary data covering the culture, traditions, and history of Sentani, as well as an exploration of food design that incorporates elements of local identity. The main find-ings highlight the importance of using local raw materials and traditional cooking techniques and of emphasizing the aesthetics and stories behind Sentani dishes. The implication of this research is the development of a food menu that preserves the in-tegrity of Sentani culture while enabling innovations that respect local cultural roots. The results of this study illustrate that a food design approach that incorporates local identity can enrich the dining experience and support the sustainability of the local culinary culture. In conclusion, appreciation of local identity in Sentani food encourages innovative development that nurtures its cultural and culinary values.

Abstract

Critical for rural development, village land assets often trigger disputes due to ambiguous boundaries and competing claims. Despite legal frameworks like Permendagri No. 1/2016 and Book C of the Village, consensus-based deliberation (musyawarah) frequently fails, necessitating court intervention. This study investigates the causes of unsuccessful non-litigation resolutions and formulates justice-based optimization strategies for deliberation in Larikrejo Village, Central Java. Using interviews and observations, empirical legal research with qualitative analysis was conducted to examine socio-legal dynamics between the Village Government and communities. Disputes stem from historical boundary ambiguities and power asymmetries, with mediation failing due to entrenched distrust. Courts provided binding solutions, but hybrid models (deliberation + litigation) are proposed to enhance fairness and efficiency. The study advocates for institutional training in mediation (BPD), legal empowerment for villagers, and cross-regional comparisons to refine hybrid dispute resolution, balancing local traditions with legal enforcement.

Abstract

Emergency Department (ED) nurses are critical in delivering rapid, life-saving care, requiring continuous competency updates through training (e.g., BLS, ACLS) to enhance technical skills, decision-making, and stress management. However, delays due to triage inefficiencies, high patient volume, and staffing shortages undermine patient satisfaction, necessitating systemic improvements like Urgent Care integration. This study aims to (1) evaluate the impact of simulation-based training on ED nurse competency and (2) assess how Urgent Care implementation (e.g., digital queues, structured referrals) improves patient outcomes and workflow efficiency. A quasi-experimental design will compare EDs with and without interventions. Pre- and post-intervention data will be collected from 100 nurses (convenience sampling) via skills tests, stress metrics, and patient satisfaction surveys. Validity and reliability will be ensured through expert-reviewed instruments and Cronbach’s alpha (>0.7). Data analysis will use SPSS v.26 for t-tests and regression. Expected outcomes include improved nurse competency (20% faster decision-making), reduced wait times (30%), and higher patient satisfaction (15% increase). The study offers evidence-based strategies to optimize ED performance by integrating training innovations and systemic reforms, addressing both skill gaps and operational bottlenecks.

Abstract

Road damage on K.H. Zaenal Arifin Cikulak–Cibogo, characterized by potholes, crocodile cracks, and flooding, disrupts traffic and safety and is exacerbated by heavy vehicle loads and poor maintenance. This study analyzes damage factors (vehicle load, traffic volume) and assesses pavement conditions to recommend repair methods. A quantitative approach with field surveys, visual documentation, and PCI analysis was employed, supported by traffic volume conversion to passenger car units (smp) and ESAL calculations. The PCI score of 42 ("fair") reflected significant damage, with ESAL values indicating excessive axle loads (407,188). The key contributors were peak traffic (1,971 vehicles/hour) and inadequate pavement thickness. The study advocates for immediate repairs (e.g., patching, 7 cm overlay) and policy interventions to regulate vehicle loads. Future research should integrate sustainable materials and dynamic load modeling.

Abstract

This study evaluates Instagram’s effectiveness in enhancing brand awareness and purchasing interest for Lien Cakes, a culinary business, amid Indonesia’s growing digital marketplace. Employing a quantitative approach with a correlational design, data were collected via questionnaires from 100 active Instagram users, including employees and consumers, to analyze engagement patterns and promotional impact. Findings reveal that 59% of employees purchased via Instagram for convenience, while 81% reported satisfaction, underscoring the platform’s sales potential. Visually creative content and influencer collaborations significantly boosted engagement, though low employee adoption (53% used Instagram for <1 year) highlighted training needs. The study contributes practical insights for optimizing Instagram strategies in niche culinary markets, emphasizing demographic-specific content and employee upskilling. Implications suggest that businesses integrate Instagram’s interactive features (e.g., Stories, UGC) with targeted training to maximize reach and loyalty, while future research could explore AI-driven personalization or cross-platform comparisons.
