Abstract

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the era of digital transformation has driven increased use of AI-based technologies in various aspects of life. The presence of AI on social media platforms, in the education sector, the workplace, and digital services has made public interaction with this technology increasingly intense. However, the level of public understanding of AI varies and is influenced by social and psychological factors, as well as digital literacy levels. This research aims to analyze public understanding of AI based on previous studies and to identify public perceptions regarding the benefits and risks of AI amidst the dynamics of digital development. The method used was a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with a qualitative approach through the collection and analysis of national and international journals published between 2020 and 2026. Literature selection was based on topic relevance, publication quality, and alignment with the research focus. The findings indicate that the public generally views AI positively, as it is perceived to enhance efficiency, productivity, and ease of access to information. However, there are also concerns regarding ethical issues, data privacy, reliance on technology, and the potential displacement of human labor. This study confirms that AI literacy and an understanding of digital technology are key factors in shaping public acceptance of AI developments in the digital age.

Abstract

This policy paper analyzed the gap between hotel tax targets and realizations in Badung Regency during the 2021–2025 period and formulated acceleration strategies to minimize the realization deficit in the hotel tax sector, which serves as a key contributor to Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD) or Regional Original Revenue. The study employed a qualitative methodology using a literature review approach and secondary data analysis derived from hotel tax realization reports from the Badung Regency Regional Revenue Office and the Badung Regent Accountability Reports (Laporan Keterangan Pertanggungjawaban [LKPJ]) for 2021–2025. Data analysis was conducted using a comparative descriptive approach to evaluate achievement levels against targets, identify fluctuation patterns and deviations, and formulate alternative policies. These alternatives were subsequently evaluated using a scoring method based on effectiveness, efficiency, and impact criteria. The results revealed significant fluctuations in hotel tax realization during 2021–2025, with the highest achievement of 140.2% recorded in 2022 and the lowest achievement of 35.0% in 2021. In 2023, the achievement rate reached 92.0% but declined again in 2024 and 2025 to 75.92% and 63.24%, respectively. These fluctuations were influenced by seasonal variations in tourist arrivals, hotel occupancy rates, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, taxpayer compliance, and challenges related to Online Travel Agent (OTA) transactions and unregistered accommodations, such as villas and boarding houses. Based on the analysis, six alternative policies were formulated. The Strengthening and Expansion of Web Service Systems alternative received the highest score of 4.67 and was selected as the primary policy, followed by the Simple E-Billing Application (4.33) and Tempat Objek Pajak Daerah (TOPD) Optimization (4.00) as complementary policies.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship with Christ and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit as the foundation for mission in the Acts of the Apostles. The research is motivated by the tendency of many contemporary churches to rely more on pragmatic strategies than on spiritual formation in carrying out God’s mission. In addition, a research gap exists because relatively few integrative studies have examined the relationship between Christology and Pneumatology within the missionary framework of the early church. This study aims to analyze how a relationship with Christ serves as the spiritual and theological foundation of mission and how the Holy Spirit leads, empowers, and sustains the church in fulfilling God’s mission. The research employs a qualitative method using a library research approach, supported by thematic, narrative, and theological analyses of the Book of Acts. The findings reveal that the success of the early church’s mission did not depend on human ability but on an intimate relationship with Christ and complete dependence on the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit functioned as the primary agent of mission by empowering evangelism, sustaining the church, and guiding the spiritual growth of believers. This study concludes that a relationship with Christ and the empowering work of the Holy Spirit are inseparable aspects of the work of the Triune God and constitute the primary foundation for a biblical, Spirit-led, and contextually relevant mission in the contemporary church.

Abstract

Tonsawang is one of the regional languages in North Sulawesi that is increasingly less frequently used by younger generations, raising concerns regarding its preservation. The lack of interactive and accessible learning media for elementary school students remains a challenge in introducing Tonsawang vocabulary effectively. This research aimed to design and develop a mobile-based Tonsawang vocabulary learning application for elementary school students. The application was developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, which includes the requirements planning, user design, construction, and cutover stages. The application was implemented using Android Studio and the Kotlin programming language and was evaluated using Black Box testing and the System Usability Scale (SUS). The results showed that all application functions operated successfully, achieving a 100% success rate. Field testing also demonstrated that the application effectively supported independent learning and received positive responses from students, as indicated by high usability scores. Therefore, the application can serve as an effective digital learning medium while supporting the preservation of the Tonsawang language in the modern era.

Abstract

Communication barriers remain a major obstacle to accessing mental health information and services among Deaf individuals. The limited availability of mental health terminology in Bahasa Isyarat Indonesia (BISINDO) can hinder communication between Deaf individuals, sign language interpreters, and mental health professionals. This community service program aimed to introduce and disseminate a digital BISINDO mental health dictionary as an accessible resource for mental health education and communication. A one-day community engagement program was conducted involving Deaf community members, sign language interpreters, mental health professionals, students, and government representatives. The program included presentations on the need for a mental health dictionary, the dictionary development process incorporating 80 terminologies, demonstrations of BISINDO mental health terminology through YouTube videos, a talk show featuring a psychiatrist and a clinical psychologist from Mental Health Deaf Indonesia, and an interactive question-and-answer session. Program evaluation was based on participant feedback. Participants expressed positive responses regarding the relevance of the dictionary, the free accessibility of video-based content, and its potential use in mental health education and service settings. Feedback highlighted the importance of standardized mental health terminology in BISINDO and the value of collaboration between Deaf and hearing professionals. The digital BISINDO mental health dictionary shows promise as an accessible communication and educational resource that may support more inclusive mental health services for Deaf communities.

Abstract

The development of information technology has encouraged universities to improve the quality of academic services through the implementation of digital systems. One form of implementation is the use of the Sistem Informasi Akademik (SIAKAD) or Academic Information System, which supports various administrative processes, including Study Plan Card (Kartu Rencana Studi [KRS]) submission, grade management, lecture scheduling, and the delivery of academic information to students. The presence of this system makes administrative processes more practical, efficient, and accessible to the entire academic community. This research aimed to examine the importance of implementing Academic Information Systems in improving the effectiveness of academic services in higher education. The study employed a literature review method by examining various scientific journals and references related to the implementation of SIAKAD in Indonesia. The collected data were analyzed descriptively to identify the benefits, challenges, and development opportunities of academic information systems. The results showed that SIAKAD implementation provides several benefits, including improved administrative efficiency, easier access to academic information, and enhanced service quality for students and lecturers. However, several challenges remain, including technological infrastructure readiness, user competency in operating the system, and the need for continuous system development to adapt to technological advancements. Therefore, effective management of SIAKAD is an important factor in supporting the improvement of higher education service quality.
