Abstract

The development of information technology has significantly changed the way business actors operate and manage their businesses. Currently, social media has become one of the most widely used digital platforms for marketing and selling various products. Social media no longer functions solely as a communication medium but has also become an effective tool for introducing products, building customer relationships, and expanding market reach. This study aims to examine the role of social media in supporting digital business development, particularly in improving product marketing activities and sales performance. The research employed a literature review method by collecting various references, including scientific journals, books, and relevant articles related to the research topic. The collected data were analyzed descriptively to provide an overview of social media utilization in business activities. The results indicate that social media utilization helps business actors implement marketing strategies more effectively. Product information can be disseminated rapidly, promotional costs are more affordable compared with conventional media, and market reach can be expanded. Furthermore, direct communication between sellers and customers through social media can strengthen consumer trust, which contributes to increased product sales. Therefore, the optimal utilization of social media can serve as a strategic approach to supporting business growth in the digital era.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has encouraged Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to continuously adapt within an increasingly digitalized business ecosystem. Social media has evolved beyond a platform for entertainment into a strategic tool for product marketing and sales. This study aims to analyze the role of social media as a digital business tool in improving MSME product marketing and sales, identify the most impactful platforms, and examine relevant strategies, challenges, and solutions. The research employed a quantitative descriptive survey method using questionnaires distributed to 80 MSME actors in urban areas who actively utilized social media as a marketing channel. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and frequency distribution analysis. The results indicate that 91.25% of respondents reported significant sales growth attributed to social media utilization, with Instagram and TikTok emerging as the most widely used platforms. Creative content strategies, two-way communication, and micro-influencer collaborations were identified as the most effective approaches. The main barriers included limited digital literacy (reported by 67.5% of respondents) and insufficient time for content management (reported by 58.75% of respondents). This study concludes that strategic and data-driven optimization of social media utilization is essential for strengthening MSME competitiveness in the digital economy era.

Abstract

Academic Information System (AIS) serves as a strategic digital infrastructure that supports educational service management in the digital transformation era. This study aims to analyze the role of AIS in improving educational service quality, enhancing academic administration efficiency, and increasing stakeholder satisfaction in higher education institutions. The study employed a descriptive quantitative research method using a survey approach involving 185 respondents consisting of students, lecturers, and administrative staff. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire using a 5-point Likert scale. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation analysis. The results indicate that AIS implementation contributes positively to academic service efficiency, with an average user satisfaction score of 4.05 out of 5. Furthermore, a significant relationship was found between AIS feature availability and educational service quality (r = 0.742, p < 0.01). The data security dimension received the highest score (mean = 4.23), while the module integration dimension required further improvement (mean = 3.87). This study recommends continuous enhancement of system interoperability, user interface design, and human resource training to optimize AIS utilization in supporting effective educational service management.

Abstract

Over the past five years, hacking incidents targeting Indonesia’s digital business ecosystem have increased significantly. The National Cyber and Crypto Agency (Badan Siber dan Sandi Negara [BSSN]) recorded more than 1.6 billion cyberattacks throughout 2021, while 311 data breach incidents affecting 248 stakeholders were reported in 2022. However, this increase in cyber incidents has not necessarily been accompanied by a shift in the paradigm of cybersecurity research, as much of the existing literature continues to focus primarily on technical aspects. This study aims to analyze and compare approaches from previous research in mapping cybersecurity strategies for digital enterprises, particularly within the contexts of e-commerce, fintech, and local Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platforms. Using a systematic literature review (SLR) method based on the PRISMA protocol, this study analyzed 34 articles obtained from the Scopus, IEEE Xplore, and Google Scholar databases published between 2019 and 2024. The findings identify a conceptual gap between technology-oriented approaches and integrated cybersecurity approaches that incorporate human and process dimensions through the people-process-technology framework. The results indicate that most studies continue to emphasize isolated technical solutions, while internal user behavior as a critical cybersecurity risk factor remains underexplored. This study argues that the primary vulnerability of digital enterprises lies not only in the infrastructure layer but also in the gap between formal cybersecurity policies and their actual implementation in organizational practices.

This study aims to analyze the role of digital transformation in improving operational efficiency and organizational performance. The research employed a literature review method with a descriptive qualitative approach through the examination and critical analysis of scientific publications discussing the implementation of digital transformation across various sectors. The results indicate that digital transformation significantly contributes to increasing productivity, accelerating business processes, reducing operational costs, improving service quality, and strengthening organizational competitiveness. The findings further reveal that the adoption of digital technologies, such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, big data analytics, and business process automation, plays a crucial role in supporting operational efficiency and the continuous improvement of organizational performance. Therefore, digital transformation serves not only as a form of technology adoption but also as a strategic organizational approach capable of creating value, enhancing business process effectiveness, and establishing sustainable competitive advantages in the digital era.

Abstract

Public commentary on the performance of Indonesian civil servants (Aparatur Sipil Negara [ASN]) has grown louder in recent years, particularly regarding the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) and the need to remain competitive with employees in the private sector. Leadership style is often identified as one of the contributing factors, especially considering the frequent changes in leadership within government agencies over relatively short periods. This study aims to systematically examine how leadership styles influence public-sector employee performance and to identify the dominant leadership styles implemented in the public sector. A systematic literature review was conducted using the SINTA Portal, Google Scholar, and ScienceDirect databases, resulting in 20 articles published between 2016 and 2026 that met the inclusion criteria. The analysis revealed that 14 of the 20 studies (70%) reported a positive and significant effect, with transformational leadership being the most frequently identified as the primary driver of employee performance. The remaining studies demonstrated more varied findings; some reported no significant effect, while one identified a negative impact, which was generally associated with mediating factors such as work motivation, job satisfaction, and organizational culture. These findings indicate that leadership style cannot be considered an independent determinant of performance. Its effectiveness is highly dependent on organizational context and must be supported by stronger employee motivation and organizational culture, particularly during leadership transitions. This study recommends that government agencies enhance work motivation and organizational culture alongside leadership development initiatives and encourages future researchers to conduct quantitative meta-analyses to measure the effect sizes of different leadership styles on ASN performance.
