Abstract

Education in Arabic uses several terms, namely, al-ta'lim, al-tarbiyah, and al-ta'dib. Al-ta'lim is the delivery of correct knowledge, understanding, comprehension, responsibility and instilling trust in children. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative research. Vocabulary is one of the three elements of language that must be mastered, this vocabulary is used in written and spoken language, and is one of the tools to develop one's Arabic language skills. Method is a way used to convey a plan that has been prepared to achieve learning objectives, while learning itself is a deliberate and planned effort by the educator, so as to enable the creation of a conducive learning atmosphere and activities for students. So from the description above, it can be concluded that the learning method is a systematic way of delivering material to students in order to achieve the desired goals. The use of the Kaisa method is one of the movement methods or known as the kinesthetic method carried out in memorizing the Quran. From the research results, the researcher concluded that the Kaisa method is also a combination of various movements, namely theater, dance, karate or silat movements that are adjusted to facial expressions, so that the Kaisa method is very enjoyable when used in learning Arabic vocabulary, because it is able to attract the attention of students and also provides a relaxed impression to students in memorizing vocabulary through their movements. This method is also very suitable for play-age students.

Abstract

This research examines Ibn Khaldun's Islamic educational thought and its relevance to the challenges of the modern world. The main problem raised in this study is how the educational concepts put forward by Ibn Khaldun, especially in Muqaddimah, can be applied in the contemporary education system that faces the challenges of globalization, digitalization, and moral crisis. The purpose of this research is to analyze the concept of Ibn Khaldun's education, identify aspects that are still relevant to modern education, and offer implementation strategies in the current learning system. This study uses a qualitative method with a textual analysis approach to Ibn Khaldun's works as well as case studies that are relevant in modern education. The results of the study show that the concept of Asabiyyah or social solidarity has important implications in creating an inclusive and collaborative learning environment. In addition, Ibn Khaldun's thoughts on gradual education and character formation are very relevant in building an education system that is not only academically oriented, but also on strengthening the morals and ethics of students. The conclusion of this study confirms that Ibn Khaldun's Islamic educational thinking can be a solution in facing the challenges of modern education. By adapting Islamic educational values into technology-based learning systems, character education, and community-based approaches, a more holistic and sustainable model of education can be realized. This research contributes to the development of an education system that is able to answer the needs of the times without losing fundamental Islamic values.

Abstract

Recently, Islam has faced two major challenges from within itself: first, the challenge stemming from some Muslims who are extreme, harsh, and strict in their understanding of religious verses and who constantly try to impose their views on other Muslims, often even resorting to violence in their indoctrination. Second, the challenge stemming from some Muslims who are lax, seemingly directionless in their religious practices and who follow negative ideas originating from other religious cultures and civilizations. Strengthening religious moderation is an effort to ensure that, no matter how diverse, interpretations and understandings of religion remain within the framework of the code, preventing the emergence of extreme religious practices. It also serves as a basis for understanding the substance of religious teachings that accommodate the values of humanity, culture, nationality, diversity, and adherence to the constitution in force in the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. Therefore, one effort to strengthen religious moderation is through education. Nurcholish Madjid, an intellectual figure who championed a reformist concept for multicultural Islamic education, emphasizing an open attitude to new ideas that could be implemented in education, is an intellectual figure. Therefore, this study examines strengthening religious moderation through Islamic education, according to Nurcholish Madjid's thinking. The research questions addressed in this study are Nurcholish Madjid's conceptualization of religious moderation, his conceptualization of religious moderation in Islamic education, and his implementation of religious moderation in Islamic education. The research method used is library research with a content analysis approach. Nurcholish Madjid's concept of religious moderation has given rise to three concepts: first, inclusive theology, second, tolerance, and third, religious pluralism. These concepts have implications for Islamic education: first, non-dichotomous Islamic education, second, democratic Islamic education, third, pluralist Islamic education, and fourth, humanist Islamic education. Nurcholish Madjid's concept of religious moderation in Islamic education has been implemented in the universities and schools he founded: Paramadina University, Madania Islamic Boarding School, and Global Sevilla International School (GSIS).

Abstract

Education is one of the manifestations of human rights in an effort to permanently liberate ignorance, poverty, and social inequality. Efforts to improve human resources through formal education in Indonesia are mandated by the 1945 Constitution, Law No. 20 of 2003 concerning the national education system and Law No. 12 of 2012 concerning higher education. Since Indonesia became independent in 1945 and entered the age of 79 years, formal education has not been evenly distributed in Aewora village as an integral part of Indonesia. Discrimination and socio-cultural oppression of women's formal education still occur and for many years women have fought for their rights to obtain formal education on an equal footing with men. For many years, women in Aewora village could only enjoy elementary and junior high school education, while at the high school level it was very limited, as was higher education. Women's struggles can be seen in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024, namely at the high school and tertiary education levels, starting to appear in limited numbers. Slowly, oppression, negative stereotypes on women's formal education began to open up the awareness of the thinking by traditional family and community leaders that education has an important role in improving the quality of human resources and realizing a better quality of life. The backwardness of women's formal education in Aewora is caused by strong customs, and patriarchy that places men in the top and superior positions in various fields, so that women work more in housekeeping, marry at a young age and still consider women to be physically very weak and unable to travel far. This socio-cultural construction causes women to be underdeveloped and oppressed in the field of formal education.

Abstract

This study explores the role of color grading in enhancing aesthetic quality and strengthening visual narratives in documentary films. As a post-production process, color grading is not limited to technical correction but functions as an artistic strategy that influences tone, atmosphere, and coherence. The research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach using content and semiotic analysis of selected documentary films released between 2018 and 2024, recognized internationally for their innovative use of grading. The findings are supported by triangulation of visual frame analysis, practitioner interviews, and secondary literature, ensuring credibility and depth of interpretation. The results indicate that color grading significantly enhances the aesthetic dimension of documentaries by creating consistent visual harmony and elevating cinematic appeal. It also strengthens narrative coherence by unifying diverse visual sources, distinguishing temporal and spatial contexts, and embedding symbolic meaning within the storyline. Furthermore, grading was found to be central to audience emotional engagement, shaping affective responses such as empathy, nostalgia, and tension. The study also highlights the cultural dimension of color, emphasizing how interpretations vary across audiences and necessitate culturally sensitive grading strategies for global distribution. Finally, technological innovations such as HDR workflows, LUTs, and AI-assisted grading were identified as transformative tools that expand creative possibilities, ensure consistency across platforms, and support sustainable production practices. In conclusion, color grading emerges not only as a technical process but also as an essential narrative and cultural instrument. Its dual function—enhancing visual beauty and directing audience perception—positions color grading as a core element in shaping impactful documentary storytelling in the digital era.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of financial literacy on students’ personal financial management in the digital era, with evidence from universities in South Sumatra. Financial literacy is increasingly important as students are exposed to diverse financial products and digital platforms such as e-wallets, QR-based payments, and online credit services. A quantitative research design was employed, with data collected from 385 students across public and private universities in South Sumatra using purposive sampling. The research instrument measured students’ financial literacy in budgeting, saving, credit management, and digital financial tools, as well as their financial management practices in planning, saving, and controlling expenses. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that financial literacy has a positive and significant effect on students’ personal financial management. The regression model explains 34.4% of the variance in financial management behavior, suggesting that while financial literacy is essential, other factors such as self-control, lifestyle, and income also play a role. The study contributes to the literature by integrating digital financial literacy into the analysis of personal financial management and provides practical implications for universities and policymakers to strengthen financial education. These findings emphasize the urgent need for financial literacy programs tailored to the digital financial ecosystem to ensure sustainable financial behavior among Generation Z students.
