Abstract

Family support is a form of interpersonal relationship that includes attitudes, actions and acceptance of family members, so that family members feel that someone cares. Results from interviews with breast cancer patients show that patients who have poor family support have a poor quality of life. The method used in this research is a quantitative method, using observation sheets. The sample in this study was the entire population undergoing chemotherapy at Aloei Saboe Hospital, totaling 53 patients. Data analysis uses the Simple Linear Regression test. This study showed results where there were 19 patients with good family support (35.8%), 9 patients (17%), and 25 patients (47.2%) who had good family support. The results of the analysis regarding the influence of family support on the patient's quality of life show that the p-value is (0.000). For the patient's family to provide more attention and support to other family members affected by breast cancer, for educational institutions, it is hoped that it can add journal references regarding quality of life and family support, future researchers should be able to add research variables so they can dig deeper into the quality of life of breast cancer patients with family support and for hospitals to establish policies or SOPs regarding the implementation of health education to patients and families regarding quality of life and the motivation that families must provide to patients.

Abstract

In order to measure the effectiveness of the Kapopo natural tourism area management policy, a SWOT analysis tool is used for the strategic environment, namely the internal and external environment. Analysis of internal factors (IFAS) shows that the Strengths factor has a total value of 1.84 and Weaknesses has a total value of 0.8, while the total value of the entire IFAS table is 2.64. Analysis of external factors (EFAS) shows that the opportunity value is 2.1 and the threat value is 1.1, while the total value of the EFAS table is 3.2. The projection of the Internal and External factor values into the SWOT analysis diagram shows that the Kapopo natural tourism area is in quadrant I, which means that the management strategy currently implemented is growth oriented (Growth Oriented Strategy). Further analysis using the IE Matrix shows that the value of the Internal External factors of the Kapopo natural tourism area is in cell 2, namely a growth strategy with concentration through horizontal integration. The SWOT matrix produces policy formulations with several strategies, namely the Strategy for Maximizing Strengths and Opportunities (S-O), the Strategy for Maximizing Strengths and Minimizing Threats (S-T), the Strategy for Minimizing Weaknesses and Maximizing Opportunities (W-O), and the Strategy for Minimizing Weaknesses and Minimizing Threats (W-T)

Abstract

Production activities in each industrial environment have risks of occupational hazards. Reports of work accident cases in Indonesia in the manufacturing industry sector over the last two years have increased from 114,000 cases in 2019 to 177,000 cases in 2020. Work accident investigation at PT. Barata Indonesia in 2022-2023 of the 626 workers, there were 6% of work accident cases. The loss causation model theory is a development of work accident theory at management factors to human factors or workers who are directly involved with materials. The research aims to analyze the dominant factors that most influence work accidents at PT. Barata Indonesia. Type of quantitative research with analytical observational research methods (crosssectional). The research sample was 308 workers at PT Barata Indonesia. The data analysis used was chi-square and logistic regression. The result of this study is that the dominant factor that has the most influence on work accidents at PT Barata Indonesia is the immediate cause factor, namely compliance with work instructions with a significance of 0.002 < 0,05, and a coefficient value of 2,124, and a CI: 1,304-3,460, meaning that there is a influence between compliance with work instructions on work accidents and a chance of getting a work accident 2 times higher when not complying with work instructions. Therefore, some preventive efforts are needed to prevent work accidents, especially in the manufacturing industry

Abstract

The existence of the philosophy of science becomes crucial in facing the advancements in science and technology, marked by the increasing specialization in various fields. The philosophy of science serves as a theoretical framework and research methodology closely related to the scientific research process. It addresses the essence of science, which forms the basis for logical assumptions (neutralistic ethical doctrines), empirical results, and the limitations of scientific knowledge. This article employs a qualitative approach, utilizing library research by examining relevant literature related to the discussed study. It also incorporates document studies of previous research results associated with the philosophy of science. Data collection involves exploring books, reputable scientific journals, and sources from Google Scholar, digital libraries, and others. Through its ability to test, contemplate, and critique assumptions and scientific methods, the philosophy of science also plays a role as a logical foundation for research methodology. In the context of higher education, the philosophy of science provides a solid foundation for scholarly pursuits, offering a logical basis for research methodology, and enhancing understanding of what is referred to as science. The contribution of the philosophy of science to research methodology not only broadens cognitive horizons but also provides a profound understanding expected to motivate researchers to genuinely engage in their research tasks.

Abstract

This study aims to gather information on the decline in the quality of teachers and students as a result of the Free Curriculum policy, using Max Horkheimer's critical social theory approach. The methodology employed is qualitative descriptive, which will elaborate on data through descriptive statements. Data is obtained through a literature review of previous studies and informants who have implemented this Free Curriculum policy. The findings of this research indicate that the Free Curriculum is part of modernity in the educational aspect. Modernity is a state where all traditionally oriented societal systems are released into an order that implies rationality. The essence of modernization fundamentally encourages embracing change towards improvement in line with the capacity of the surrounding community conditions. Differentiated learning poses new problems and burdens for teachers due to time constraints. The standards to be achieved become biased and unclear. The impact of this policy is that students experience a decline in the quality of understanding the material because it is challenging to meet achievement standards maximally due to diversity in potential and interests. Teachers are not maximally able to provide standardized teaching but are more focused on organizing and designing strategies for this diversity. The role of teachers as facilitators allows limited room to maximize the inculcation of values. Discrimination against teachers through the "teacher mover" program resulting from the Free Curriculum policy has an impact on the opportunities provided, creating discrimination and generating barriers and comparisons between participating and non-participating teachers.

Abstract

This article aims to explain Auguste Comte's three-stage law of epistemology in the theory of social change, namely the theological, metaphysical, and positive stages, and to explore its relevance to the study of sociology. The article employs qualitative research with a literature review approach. This method is utilized to gather information and data through various materials available in the library, such as documents, books, magazines, and so on. Comte attempts to elucidate that social change occurs in three stages: the Theological Stage (fictional), the Metaphysical Stage (abstract), and the Positive Stage (scientific). These three stages are considered universal laws that generalize the evolution of society throughout its history. Comte proposes that the positive stage represents the pinnacle of human thought evolution, and sociology, as a science, should adopt a positivistic approach focused on empirical analysis and objective observation to understand the structure and function of society. The positive stage is viewed as the culmination and highest point in the development of human intelligence, where humans seek to understand all relationships within the order of nature through scientific approaches and empirical data. This pursuit aims to shape human intelligence for more advanced and progressive living.

Abstract

The stigma of leprosy can generally be seen from two aspects, namely, self-stigma (such as shame and low self-esteem) and public stigma (such as societal prejudices), which are also related to the restriction of social participation and discrimination. Prejudice or assumptions are further reinforced by the presence of negative labels or stereotypes attached to an individual. The emergence of discriminatory actions is a result of the majority's assumptions or prejudices towards others. These assumptions or prejudices then become a form of differentiation in society. This research utilizes a qualitative method with the social construction approach of Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckman. Data analysis is conducted in accordance with Berger's social construction theory, where social construction can be understood through the processes of externalization, objectification, and internalization. The results of this research indicate the existence of different constructions by each individual based on their level of information and experience. Firstly, society constructs leprosy patients as individuals cursed. Secondly, leprosy patients are constructed as sufferers of hereditary diseases. Thirdly, leprosy patients are constructed as sufferers of a highly contagious and dangerous disease. Fourthly, society constructs leprosy patients as individuals with a curable contagious disease.

Abstract

The tahfidz yanbu'a method originates from Kudus, Central Java. This method emphasizes how to read and write and memorize the Al-Qur'an effectively and efficiently. Indirectly, the Tahfidz program can make it easier for children to understand religious material, including Al-Qur'an Hadith subjects, where there is a lot of material related to the Al-Qur'an, starting from reading, writing and memorizing. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the yanbu'a method tahfidz program on student learning outcomes in Al Qur'an Hadith subjects at MI Banu Hasyim. The approach to this research is quantitative research and experimental research. The data collected in this research will be analyzed using the linear regression method and T test hypothesis. The results of this research show that the average student learning outcomes provide very good results with a range of 90-100. 20 students or 50% distribution frequency, which means it can increase students' understanding of the material in accordance with basic competencies and achieve Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM). The results of hypothesis testing (T Test) show that the tahfidz program variable yanbu'a method (X) has a calculated t value of 6,800 > t table value of 2,290 and a significant value = 0.001 < 0.05, so it states that Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted. This means that there is a significant influence between the yanbu'a method tahfidz program on student learning outcomes in the Al-Qur'an Hadith subject.
