Abstract

Hypertension is a health problem that often occurs in the elderly and is at risk of causing various complications if not controlled properly. In addition to pharmacological therapy, non-pharmacological interventions that are safe and easy to apply are needed, one of which is through the use of herbal ingredients. This study aims to determine the effect of giving turmeric juice drink on reducing blood pressure in elderly people with hypertension in East Pentadio Village, Telaga Biru District. This study uses a pre-experimental design with a one group pretest–posttest approach. The study sample was elderly people with hypertension who were selected by total sampling technique. The intervention was in the form of giving 150 ml of turmeric juice drink once a day for seven days. Systolic and diastolic blood pressure measurements were carried out before and after the intervention, then analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. The results showed a decrease in the mean systolic and diastolic blood pressure after the administration of turmeric juice drink, with a p value of < 0.05 which showed a significant effect. It can be concluded that turmeric juice drink has an effect on reducing blood pressure in the elderly with hypertension and can be used as an alternative non-pharmacological therapy in controlling hypertension in the elderly.

Data collection was carried out using questionnaires to measure the level of self-management and quality of life of respondents. Data analysis was carried out univariate and bivariate to determine the relationship between the two research variables. The results showed that some respondents had a poor quality of life category as many as 31 people (47.7%), while respondents with good self-management amounted to 28 people (43.1%). The results of the analysis showed a relationship between the family-based Self Management Education program and the quality of life of people with type II diabetes mellitus. The conclusion of this study is that the family-based Self Management Education program has a relationship with the quality of life of people with type II diabetes mellitus. Therefore, the implementation of educational programs involving families is important to improve the self-management skills and quality of life of people with diabetes mellitus.

Abstract

The availability of health human resources (HR) is an important factor in determining the success of the implementation of service programs at health centers. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the availability of health human resources and the implementation of service programs in health centers through a literature study approach. The method used is literature review by reviewing various relevant national and international scientific articles. Data collection was carried out through searching databases such as Google Scholar, PubMed, and ScienceDirect using keywords related to health human resources and health center services. The selected articles were then analyzed in a qualitative descriptive manner. The results of the study show that the availability of health human resources, both in terms of quantity, distribution, quality, and management, has a significant relationship with the implementation of service programs at health centers. Limited number of health workers, uneven distribution, and high workload are the main obstacles in service optimization. In addition, the competence of health workers and facility support also affect the effectiveness of service programs which include promotive, preventive, and curative. In conclusion, the availability of adequate and evenly distributed health human resources is very necessary to improve the quality of services at health centers. Therefore, better planning and management of human resources is needed to support the improvement of public health status.

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that is still a major challenge in Indonesia, especially in rural areas. This condition is caused by various factors such as long-term malnutrition, recurrent infections, poor sanitation, and low levels of education and family economic conditions. This study aims to analyze the planning of stunting control programs in rural areas based on literature studies from various national and international articles in the last five years. The method used is a literature study with data collection through searching scientific journals, research reports, and publications of global health organizations. Data analysis was carried out descriptively by reviewing and synthesizing various findings of previous research. The results of the study show that the main factors of stunting include maternal and child nutrition, environmental sanitation, and parenting. Specific and sensitive nutritional interventions have been proven to be effective in reducing the prevalence of stunting when carried out in an integrated manner. However, the implementation of the program still faces obstacles such as limited resources, weak cross-sector coordination, and gaps in access to health services in rural areas. In conclusion, planning an integrated, community-based, and focused stunting control program that focuses on the First 1000 Days of Life (HPK) is very important to reduce stunting rates in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the stock performance of BUMN (BBRI, BBNI, and BMRI) following the establishment of the Danantara Investment Agency in February 2025. Utilizing a descriptive quantitative method, this research observes stock price movements and returns during the period from February 2025 to February 2026. The results of this study indicate that the formation of Danantara triggered a volatile market reaction. There was a surge in positive returns at the beginning of its establishment (March 2025), reflecting positive market expectations aligned with the government's Signaling Theory. However, a correction phase emerged mid-year due to information asymmetry before prices eventually stabilized. Specifically, BMRI recorded the highest average price, BBRI showed the most dynamic volatility, and BBNI became the most stable issuer. The study concludes that integration into Danantara has a positive medium-term impact on the stock value of state-owned banks, supported by the fundamental strength of each bank.
