Abstract

Group activity therapy is one of the therapeutic modalities carried out by nurses for groups of elderly people who have the same nursing problems. Group activities for elderly people who have the same nursing problems. Activities are used as therapy and groups as targets of care. Guess the picture is a light brain teaser game, tests imagination, logic and reasoning, guess the picture is a form of game where from the results of this game participants can enjoy the activities they do so that the game can reduce boredom and can assess gross motor skills, fine motor skills, language, cognitive and socialization according to age level. Activity Objective: It is hoped that elderly people can train their sensory, motor and cognitive abilities with cognitive therapy in the form of guessing pictures. Activity Method: Providing Group Activity Therapy by guessing pictures, TAK is carried out on clients with physical conditions that allow it (for example: being able to move body parts such as hands), clients who are managed by students of the Yatsi Madani University Nursing professional program and cooperative clients. Activity Results: Observation results showed that the elderly were cooperative and every question from the team was answered well by the elderly with the picture in question. The achievement of the target of the picture guessing group therapy activity was quite good, because the material was delivered in its entirety (100%).

Abstract

King uses a systems approach in developing conceptual systems and middle-range theory, namely the theory of goal achievement. King notes that “several scientists who have studied systems have noted that the only way to study humans interacting with the environment is to devise a conceptual framework of interdependent variables and interrelated concepts. King views humans as an open system that interacts with the environment, allowing objects, energy and information to freely influence it. In its conceptual framework, it includes three dynamic systems of interaction as individuals are called personal systems, when these individuals unite in groups it is called interpersonal systems. To deal with the problem of the patient's anxiety level, the nurse should explain the definition of the patient's illness, the risk factors that cause MCI in the patient, what examinations the patient should carry out, management and treatment for the patient. The nursing diagnosis of a knowledge deficit will decrease or decrease if the nurse has provided an explanation to the patient regarding the disease and how to treat it so that the patient no longer experiences a knowledge deficit. King's theory can describe a mutualistic relationship within a health team to achieve nursing care goals, where the individuals involved are also decision makers. It still covers a broad (general) scope, so its interpretation or application requires a clear understanding of the concept.

Abstract

The main concept of comfort theory is to assess the taxonomic structure between three comforts associated with four comfort experiences. One of the practical theories that supports the development of humidity both in the development of science and in practice is the comfort theory model developed by Katharine Kolcaba. In Kolcaba's perspective, relief (freedom), ease (calmness), transcendence (happiness) are indicators of providing holistic comfort (Wilson & Kolcaba, 2004). This theory provides a useful framework for improving patient comfort by helping to guide comprehensive intervention for not only physical discomfort, but also emotional or psychological discomfort. According to (Kolcaba, 2001) that patients strive to meet their comfort needs, and a comfort theoretical framework can assist nurses in assessing various comfort needs in "the context in which comfort occurs".

Abstract

This paper aims to explore the application of Callista Roy's adaptation model theory in nursing care for Anorexia Nervosa patients. Anorexia Nervosa is a complex eating disorder with serious impacts on an individual's physical and mental health. Roy's adaptation model has a basic concept that includes four modes of adaptation, namely physiological, self-concept, social role, and interdependence. In the physiological mode, interventions focus on monitoring weight, nutrition, and optimal body function. The self-concept mode emphasizes developing self-esteem and body acceptance. Social roles are maintained through a therapeutic approach that supports positive social interactions. Additionally, interdependence is explored by involving the patient's family and social network in the healing process. By applying Callista Roy's adaptation model theory, nursing care for Anorexia Nervosa patients can become more holistic and integrated. An in-depth understanding of the four modes of adaptation provides a strong foundation for addressing the complex challenges faced by Anorexia Nervosa patients. The practical implication of this paper is the development of nursing care guidelines that are more specific and focused on the unique needs of Anorexia Nervosa patients, while still paying attention to the basic principles of Roy's adaptation model theory.

Abstract

There are many nursing theories about the nurse-patient relationship, one of the most important is Imogene King's Theory of Goal Attaintment. The theory of relationship-based nursing is Imogene King's Theory of Goal Attaintment. Imogene King's Theory of Goal Attaintment is based on shared perceptions between nurses and patients and facilitates patient- and family-centered care. Imogene M. King put forward her theory that humans have three parts in their lives, namely the interaction of personal, interpersonal and social systems which form individual relationships with other individuals to maintain positive adaptation to their environment. The sub-mains of the interpersonal system include communication, interaction, where this process involves reciprocal relationships between one individual and another individual so that a transaction is formed. In the case of patients who need to install a pace maker to achieve a transaction, the same perception is needed between the nurse and the client. This case is suitable for the application of Imogene King's Theory of Goal Attainment in implementing nursing care.

Abstract

Quality nursing services are supported by the development of nursing conceptual model theory. Professional nursing services will develop if they are supported by conceptual models and research and implemented in nursing practice. The nursing profession recognizes four levels of theory, namely meta-theory, middle theory, and practice theory. The nursing conceptual model was developed by experts as a framework for nursing thinking, so nurses need to understand this concept as a conceptual framework for thinking about providing nursing care in nursing practice. One of the middle-range theories that support the development of nursing in the development of science and in nursing practice was developed by Cheryl Tatano Back. Postpartum depression (PPD) is a major mental health disorder that affects at least 13 percent of new mothers and has detrimental consequences for populations of concern to social workers, such as low-income women, women of color, young women, and single mothers.

Abstract

The world of nursing is currently increasingly developing. Considered as a health profession, nurses must participate in achieving health development goals both in Indonesia and throughout the world. Self-transcendence theory is built on the assumption that humans have an inner capacity, their own inner care process to integrate the complexities of life in a way that facilitates well-being during the face of health-related problems. The strengths of Pamela G Reed's theory are: This theory is very appropriate to use in the assessment process because the variables used cover the phenomena that occur; Good for solving various problems related to psychosocial problems; Spiritual factors are widely considered in solving client problems. Weaknesses of Pamela G Reed's Theory, namely: Some charts do not have a clear summary linking the variables; Many theoretical variables, such as sensitivity and self-transcendence, as well as conditions of well-being, are still abstract, making them difficult to apply in practice; The theoretical discussion is difficult to understand so it is difficult for nurses to apply it into practice; It is limited to use only in cases related to psychological problems and does not consider physical treatment.

Abstract

This paper aims to describe the application of Hildegard Elizabeth Peplau's nursing theory concept model in caring for individuals with schizophrenia. This theory emphasizes the interpersonal relationship between nurses and patients as a key factor in the healing process. In the context of schizophrenia, this relationship becomes more complex due to the characteristics of the symptoms and communication challenges. Nurses serve as "counselors" who help patients understand and manage their psychotic experiences. The process of identifying and managing feelings becomes the main focus, with nurses guiding patients to develop adaptation skills. In addition, nurses also act as mediators between patients and their environment, helping to facilitate social integration. Hildegard Elizabeth Peplau's conceptual model of nursing theory can be a valuable guide in caring for individuals with schizophrenia. Application of its interpersonal principles can help strengthen relationships between nurses and patients, provide necessary support for the healing process, and improve the quality of care for individuals with schizophrenic disorders.

Abstract

Madeleine Leininger's Nursing Theory Concept Model, known as Transcultural Nursing Theory or Cultural Nursing Theory, provides a foundation for providing nursing care that focuses on the patient's cultural diversity. In the context of fractures, application of this theory can increase nurses' understanding of the influence of culture on patient perceptions, experiences, and responses to fracture injuries. This theory emphasizes the importance of care that is sensitive to cultural diversity in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care. In the case of fractures, cultural aspects can influence how patients view the disease, treatment options, and tolerance for pain. Therefore, nurses need to integrate patient cultural knowledge into nursing care planning to ensure the delivery of care that is effective and focused on individual needs. This conceptual model includes four subsystems of transcultural nursing, namely the ethnohistorical subsystem, kinetic-dynamic subsystem, linguistic subsystem, and social subsystem. In the context of fractures, nurses can use this approach to understand how cultural values, norms, and beliefs may influence the patient's healing and recovery process.

Abstract

The background to the creation of Leininger's theory, through observations when she worked as a nurse, she identified that there was still a lack of knowledge about culture and care as components needed when caring for patients. Patient care is intended to support compliance, healing, and health which led him to develop the Transcultural Nursing theory. Transcultural Nursing is also known as Culture Care Theory. Nursing theory became a major theme in the last century, and continues today to increase the growth and expansion of professional and phenomenal nursing literature and education. In the early twentieth century, nursing was not recognized as an academic discipline or profession. The achievements of the past century have led to the recognition of nursing in both disciplines and professions. The terms discipline and profession are related, and in some cases can even be used interchangeably, but they are not the same. Nursing theoretical works represent the most comprehensive presentation of systematic nursing knowledge. Therefore, nursing theoretical work is important for the future of the discipline and profession of nursing. This conceptual model comes from the fields of anthropology and nursing. Leininger defines transcultural nursing as a major area of nursing that focuses on the comparative study and analysis of various cultures and subcultures throughout the world by considering values, beliefs, health and illness, and habit patterns. The aim of this theory is to find various ways of caring for clients and universal relations between worldview, social structure, other dimensions, then find a path that is appropriate for different people with the aim of maintaining health, or facing death with a cultural approach.
