Abstract

Merle H. Mishel was born in Boston, Massachusetts. Dial graduated from the University of Boston with a B.A. in 1961 and earned an M.S. in psychiatric nursing from the University of California in 1966. Mishel completed her M.A. and Ph.D. D in the area of social psychology at the Claremont Graduate School in Claremont, California in 1976 and 1980. The dissertation research was supported by a Nation Research Service Award to develop and test the Perceived Ambiguity in Illness Scale measuring instrument, which is now known as the Mishel Uncertainly in Illness Scale (MUIS-A). One of the experts in nursing is Merle H. Mishel who has the Middle Range theory with his theory of uncertainty. This theory states that the meaning associated with the situation of illness, occurs when decision makers are unable to carry out their duties and interpret objectively, or the inability to accurately predict the expected outcome (Mishel, 1998. Nursing as a profession is unique because nursing addresses a variety of individual responses , family and community regarding the health problems they face. Nurses have various roles such as care givers, primary nurses, clinical decision makers, advocates, researchers and educators. Nurses often have to carry out more than one role at the same time, so that in carrying out their duties They must have the same frame of mind. It is necessary to believe that the application of quality nursing theory in the implementation of nursing care will have an impact on improving the quality of nursing care. Nursing services as professional services will develop if they are supported by nursing theories and models as well as the development of nursing research and implemented in practice. nursing.

Abstract

This paper aims to explore the application of Myra Estrin Levine’s conservation nursing model theory in the nursing care of patient with dextra pedis cellulitis. Cellulitis is a bacterial infection of the skin and underlying tissue that can cause redness, swelling, blistering and pain when pressed. Generally, cellulitis occurs on the skin of the lower legs, but can also appear on the skin of the face, arms, eyes and stomach. Myra Estrin Levine’s conservation theory is divided into 4 conservation principles, namely energy needs and their use, social integrity, structural integrity and personal integrity. The core definition of Levine’s theory is that care is interaction between human, she uses the concept of adaptation and increasing the body’s response through a system approach. Myra Estrin Levine’s concept model is divided into wholeness (holism), adaptation and conservation. The concept of wholeness refers to efforts to understand and care for patients as individuals who are complete and integrated in all aspects of their lives. Nurses are expected to engage patients in care that considers physical, emotional, social and spiritual dimensions. The importance of wholeness is to respect the individual as a complex unit, where nurses strive to understand the context of the patient’s life and provide care that does not only focus on symptoms or disease, but also pays attention to broader aspects of the patient’s life. According to Levine’s nursing theory, adaptation is an individual’s effort to maintan balance and stability in response to environmental stimuli.

Abstract

Mental health is how a person adapts to themselves, others, and the environment. Adjusting to oneself is an effort to understand and accept one's strengths and weaknesses. The transition period from childhood to adulthood is called adolescence. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), adolescents are individuals aged 10 to 19 years, 80% of whom live in developing countries. Teenagers' emotional and mental well-being is related to the type of parenting they receive, whether it is authoritarian, permissive, or democratic. Adolescents who have a poor peer environment are in line with the increase in adolescents who experience mental and emotional problems. This is because teenagers do not get enough emotional support or social support from friends their age. Also, the living environment significantly impacts teenagers' lives, especially in character development. It can also endanger mental health if something terrible happens in the surrounding environment, creating a feeling of insecurity or discomfort about living in a slum area. The high use of social media can also influence adolescent behavior. Apart from that, it also has an indirect negative impact on mental health, such as the emergence of anti-social attitudes or, what is usually called apathy, and various other mental health disorders. So, several aspects can influence teenagers' mental health, one of which is parenting style, social environment, and internet addiction.

Abstract

Awangbangkal District, Karangintan District, Banjar District, South Kalimantan Province in 2000 was different from 2023. Old coordinate data that is still in manual shape and only x, y and z data, can be merged with new data. Both data can be combined to identify developments or changes in the area due to prolonged material harvesting activities. Autocad Civil 3D as the software used can change the manual data of x, y and z to digital data by entering data into Microsoft Excel continued with Notepad as a data bridge so that it can be read by AutoCad Civile 3D with pre-made PENZD format. The coordinate points x, Y and z already entered in AutoCAD Civil 3 D can be made contours and cross-cutting. Ten cross-sectional overlays made between the old data and the new data, resulting in differences between them. The divide resulted in a total of 456,000 cubic meters of material that had been taken between 2000 and 2023. Data formatted by autocad with extension dwg can be transferred to extension dxf to be read by other software from Minescape, Terramodel, 12D, Surpac.

Abstract

Motivation/Background. Stunting represents a prevalent health issue, particularly in lower to middle-income countries, including Indonesia. Occurring predominantly among infants, stunting is influenced by various factors such as genetics and nutritional status, primarily derived from direct dietary intake like breastfeeding. Additionally, socioeconomic factors, including household income, economic status, and food security, also contribute to stunting in young children. The adverse effects of stunting manifest in compromised growth and intellectual development, potentially impeding productivity, elevating the incidence of low birth weight, and increasing the risk of degenerative diseases. These consequences may subsequently heighten the risk of future poverty. This study aims to explore the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of stunting in infants. Method: The research adopts a (narrative/systematic) review methodology, guided by the PRISMA 2020 framework. Data was gathered through searches on Google Scholar and PubMed, focusing on publications from 2019 to 2023. The search keywords included "Relationship between Exclusive Breastfeeding and Stunting," "Exclusive Breastfeeding," and "Stunting." Out of 100 results from Google Scholar and 756 from PubMed, five studies were selected for inclusion in this review. Results: The review indicates that the incidence of stunting is significantly associated with the lack of exclusive breastfeeding during the first six months of life. Conclusions: There is a significant correlation between exclusive breastfeeding and the incidence of stunting in infants, underlining the importance of promoting and supporting exclusive breastfeeding to mitigate the risk of stunting and its long-term consequences
