Abstract

This study aims to determine the woman contribution in the family economy. It is interesting to study because the Indonesian especially people in Riau province, the financial responsibility belong to men (husbands). Meanwhile women (wives) are often viewed as scaffolder of the family economy. This research is classified as qualitative method since it can captured and explained the phenomena. The results indicated that women weavers had a significant contribution in the household economy, particularly for those who had husband with decisive job and fixed income. Choosing this job as a source of economic income is a strategy to carry out their gender role in the domestic sector. They could earn money from the job without leaving the responsibility in caring their household

Abstract

Women are part of a pluralistic society, he also became the figure of the man who brought the mission partners prosper earth so as to realize an empowerment within the scope of a more macro. With this cooperation, life can take place and walk upright, the community can develop and banner banner of truth can berkiba. Over the development period, the role of women is not just limited as a wife for her husband and mother to children. Women who used his fate depends only on the husband to meet his needs, it's been changed, not a few women who can meet even the existing kebutuhanya whose income exceeds the husband. Various artistic life began to open wide for women. Although there is no prohibition for women to work, but it should kind of work was not prohibited and do not lead to unlawful acts, such as travel day and night without a mahram or work in a place that happens ikhtilath (mixed up) between men and women. Indeed there is no proof that qath'i about illegitimate woman out of the house, but the scholars still place some conditions on the permissibility of women out of the house. Abstract

The social role of woman in religion contestation and community values tend to be discriminatory and it is not impartial for woman. This research is to elaborate al-Quran perspective in emphasizing the sociological and psychological women through a religious psychology approach. This research used thematic interpretation method by collecting certain verses that have closes meaning based on key term, such as; niswah ةْض/ًal Nisa ضاءٌال/al-unṡā ثىًاأل/al-mar‟u الوزأ/al-mar‟ الوزء/ al-imru‟ اإلهز dan al-mar‟ah الوزأة/ al-imra‟ah اإلهزأة ,.etc. The data analyses used psychology religion of Henry Nelson Wreman and Maturity Allport theory. The results of this research were: first, the function of woman's social role in al-Qur`an based on woman‟s dignity from various dimensions and social functions. Second, the evidence of woman‟s ability and maturity is, woman has social role‟s variety, like as wives, legal witnesses, political leaders, workers/employers, educators, and members of society. Third, the position of woman (based on socio-historically al-Qur`an) is on strategic function, like as in family, legal, politics, economi, da‟wah and socio-culturual system. Thus, discriminate and subordinated women are clearly contrary to the historical logic of the Qur'an.

Abstract

Egypt is one of the areas that are already well-known as a bag of pre- Islamic civilization of the world set foot there. That's the right word destined for the territory of the Nile valley civilization heritage of this. People with the name  of  the bag  this  civilization  to  this  day still attached either at one of the area located in North Africa. In Egypt it is born leaders of Islamic thinkers who have ideas that are very brilliant and influential to this day in the Islamic world. Abstract

This article aims to explain that behavioral phenomena not only describe the linguistic behavior, but also a socio-cultural phenomenon as the language and expression are contributed and Influeced by the current condition. Therefore, the paradigm used sosiopragmatik conducted in informal situations with a focus on the behavior of said refuse ethnic Minangkabau in the domain of friendship. Data were collected using three data collection techniques based on the rules of conduct ethnographic said, namely observation, interview techniques,and techniques ethno-sciences (etno-pragmatik). The data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively in which the utterances are required to fulfill and explain the linguistic phenomenon appeared in the society. The results showed that through the said behavior quantitatively reject ethnic Minangkabau found the strength properties of the women. These finding showed the social changes in the practice of spoken atnik Minangkabau Modern. It could vary the sosiolinguistic sciences and may contribute  others.

Abstract

Local wisdom is recognized as a vital social capital in empowering society. This has showed by the achievement of KWT Dewi Sri in enlarging it’s public role through adaptive strategies. In a pluralistic society, with a poor of socio-economical condition after the earthquake, certainly it was a difficult for the women to empower theirselves, their families, and their society. But such unlucky conditions have been managed successfully by KWT Dewi, even they  have stepped forward like the incarnation of Dewi Sri(Sri godless)  that in Javanese mythology being convinced as a source of prosperity for farming of villagers, and gradually have succeeded in refuting a view of feminization of poverty.

Abstract

The title of this paper is about women’s representation in parliament on islamic perspective. This discussion aims to look beyond the problem involvement of women in parliament, where the government sets the rules of 30% representation of women in parliament, then discuss in Islamic perspective. Abstract

This article studies the women’s ward and the Dutch colonial regime to the female prisoners in West Sumatera. (Sumatra’s Westkust). As the historiography works it use a modern histories arrangements: heuristic, internal – external critics; Interpretation classification; explanation in historiography. It uses female history approach, studying the the womens’ position under the patriarchal. This study reveals that : The prisons had been built since 17th Century, it was began at Padang to the higher land as the Nederland Political Power became more powerfull; 2) It was recorded that was no women’s ward at that time, there was only a special room among the men’s for the women before they were sent to Java, all of the personels were males; 3) The inavailability of women’s ward and the female personels make the females prisoner  became more badly suffer as their punishment had been doublelized especially for those who were coomited to custom and moral.

Abstract

Mother with dual-career family has a dual role to be performed at the same time. Therefore, as a mother with double plays in a dilemma between family and career interests. Data collection using "snow-ball"  technique to 12 informants and informant election using theoretical sampling. The process of data analysis include braketing, horizonalizing, meaning units to get the description textural, imaginative variation to get the description structural, and blends (composite) into a meaning universal. The results showed that although mothers working face a dilemma in attempting to balance career and family, but for the mother's own career is needs to embodiment her self-and actualization strengthen existence. Abstract

Daily and night markets have long existed in Malaysia and Negeri Sembilan in particular. These markets are visited by matrilineal traders, China, India, Cambodia and Kelantan Malay. However, trading is not easy to be performed by women because it carries some barriers for them. Nevertheless, matrilineal women traders still dominate in number among the traders of other tribes in daily and night markets. Accordingly, this study tries to observe factors that hinder matrilineal women in performing their bussiness. The data is obtained from 91 female traders as the sample of the research by giving them questionnaires and interview. The result shows that there are six factors as the obstacles which are: culture, childhood, unsupported infrastructure, the amount of capital, less access to funding sources and safety reason.
