Abstract

Abstract

Excessive concern about body image among women results in body shape dissatisfaction that will affect psychological well-being, and eating behavior becomes inadequate. The research design used a correlational design with a cross-sectional approach. The total sample consisted of 67 respondents. The sampling technique used was Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. This study used an eating behavior scale questionnaire (Chairiah, 2008) and the MBSRQ-AS (Azminada, 2022) to assess body image. The results showed good eating behavior in students, which was 95.5%, followed by good body image with a total of 94%. The results of the analysis of the Spearman Rho test obtained a p value of 0.000. The result of the correlation value (r = 0.555) shows a positive and strong relationship between eating behavior and body image, which means that the better the eating behavior, the more positive the body image of female students of Batch 2022 STIKes Maharani Malang. A person with a negative body image will experience dissatisfaction with his body, which will lead to self-evaluation of the appearance of the body, which will result in changes in eating behavior.

Abstract

Menstruation is a bleeding process that occurs periodically or cyclically from the endometrium. During menstruation, complaints and disorders often occur, especially in productive women, especially teenagers, who often experience menstrual pain or dysmenorrhea. One of the nursing actions to overcome this is kneading massage. The aim of the research was to determine the effectiveness of kneading massage in reducing dysmenorrhea pain in Stikes Aksari Indramayu students. This type of research is quantitative, using a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest design approach. The characteristic of this type of research is that it reveals cause-and-effect relationships by involving a group of subjects. The subject group was observed before the intervention, then observed again after the intervention. The population in this study was all female students at the Aksari College of Health Sciences (STIKes), totaling 46 people in April 2024. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling. The data collection technique uses primary data directly obtained from respondents, with a sample size of 28 people. Data analysis uses frequency distribution and paired samples test statistical tests. Abstract

Introductions : Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) is one of the impacts caused by the use of IUDs, namely IUDs. The cause of UTI itself is dominated by the presence of microorganisms that infect the urinary tract. Pseudomonas is one of the bacteria that causes the third largest UTI after E. Coli and Enterococcus. Pseudomonas is capable of infecting the urinary tract when it is inserted, besides that the bacteria can also enter due to improper cleaning techniques. Mulberry leaves are believed to have antibacterial properties such as flavonids, tannins, alkaloids and terpenoids, which can inhibit the growth of bacteria. Methods : The method used in this study uses laboratory experimental methods, by measuring the cause and effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable. Using a post-test only control group design approach. Result : The results showed that there was an inhibition zone formed at the smallest concentration of 60% with the medium category of 8,4 mm and the widest inhibition zone was found at a concentration of 100% with the strong category of 12, 6 mm. The results of the analysis test using One Way Anova proved that there was a significant effect of giving mulberry leaf extract on the inhibition of Pseudomonas with a P value of 0.000. Pos Hoc’s test results showed the most influential concentration in each treatment, namely 100%. Conclusions : From the research results, it was found that concentrations of 100% were the most effective concentrations in inhibiting the growth of Pseudomonas bacteria.

Abstract

Introduction: Providing self-skills education and training to improve the ability of type II DM sufferers to carry out self-care management (DSME) including 8 important components and applying peer support to increase motivation and improve their health, avoid complications to early death. Objective: This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of Diabetes Self-Management Education on changes in blood glucose levels in patients with type II DM at Banyuwangi Regency in 2023. Method: Experimental research with the design of True Experimental Pretest pos-ttest control group design. The population were all type II DM patients who were treated regularly at the Klatak Public Health Center. A sample of 24 respondents in the control and 24 in the intervention groups used the MSD sample size formula. Respondents in this study were examined pre- & post-test venous plasma blood glucose levels. The sampling technique used is an RCT. Data analysis used SPSS 21 for Windows statistical T-test. Result: The paired T-test results indicated that the P-value for the intervention group was less than 0.05, specifically 0.000. It means Ha is accepted. So, the blood glucose levels differ before and after undergoing DSME with the Peer Support Group method. Then, with a significance value of 0.015 being less than 0.05, it can be inferred that there is a noteworthy difference. Statistical test results of the N-gain score in the intervention group were 50.3% in the Less Effective category, while in the control group was -4.4% in the Ineffective category. Conclusion: There is a significant mean difference between the two groups. The N-gain score test results in the intervention group were higher than control group. It is hoped that the implementation of DSME with the Peer Support Group will be more systematic, sustainable, and focused on changing behavior.
