ABDI SABHA (Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat) was published by the Center for Research and Development Indonesia (CERED Indonesia) in February, June and October this year. ABDI SABHA aims to disseminate information on scientific papers related to community service activities by academics and practitioners. ABDI SABHA accepts submissions of articles written in Indonesian and English. Determination of articles to be published is carried out through a blind review process by the editorial team by paying attention to aspects such as: meeting the requirements of scientific journal publication standards and contributing articles for professional development. The editor is responsible for providing a constructive review of the articles to be published and (if deemed necessary) as well as submitting the evaluation results of the article to the author. Articles that are proposed to be published in the journal are recommended to follow the guidelines for writing articles made by the Editor.

Abstract

Desa Tanjung Rejo, yang terletak di Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara mayoritas penduduk bekerja sebagai petani dan nelayan. Desa ini memiliki potensi besar dalam sektor maritim, termasuk perikanan, pariwisata, dan kawasan hutan mangrove seluas 602.181 ha. Pendapatan nelayan yang rendah dan limbah ikan yang tidak terkelola dengan baik menjadi masalah utama, dengan limbah ikan mencapai 50-100 kg per hari yang dapat menyebabkan dampak lingkungan negatif. Permasalahan mitra Limbah ikan dapat mencemari air dan udara jika tidak dikelola dengan baik. Program ini bertujuan untuk mengelola limbah ikan secara efektif, meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat, serta memberikan dampak positif baik dari segi ekonomi maupun lingkungan. Metode pelaksanaan antara lain metode Penentuan lokasi dengan, metode pendekatan, metode pelaksanaan, metode pembagian tugas. Adapun kesimpulan dari kegiatan penyuluhan anatar lain: Sebelum penyuluhan: Mayoritas peserta hanya tahu istilah “pupuk organik”, tapi tidak paham ciri, jenis, manfaat, dan potensi limbah ikan. Setelah penyuluhan: Peserta menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman signifikan di semua aspek, termasuk potensi limbah ikan menjadi pupuk bernilai ekonomi. Sebelum pelatihan: Tidak ada peserta yang mengetahui bahan, proses, atau nilai ekonomis pupuk dari limbah ikan. Setelah pelatihan: Semua peserta memahami dan mampu menjelaskan bahan, teknik fermentasi, waktu penggunaan, dan manfaat ekonomisnya.

Abstract

Aquaponics is an environmentally friendly agricultural alternative that integrates fish farming and plant cultivation within a single ecosystem. This concept is particularly suitable for household-scale application, as it enhances the use of home yards and supports family food security. This Muhammadiyah Community Partnership Program aimed to: (1) improve the knowledge and skills of members of Aisyiyah Branch Medan Perjuangan in constructing aquaponic systems, and (2) raise awareness of the importance of environmentally based sustainable agriculture. The training was conducted using a participatory approach involving socialization, hands-on practice, and active discussion. The program successfully increased participants' awareness and motivation to utilize their home yards productively. Participants demonstrated high enthusiasm throughout the activity, with hopes that similar training initiatives could be extended and developed in other communities.

Abstract

The strategy and effort to build villages accommodate village activists to create collective learning spaces in village resource governance. Village initiatives and capabilities in managing existing resources in their areas are the basic capital to create strong, advanced, and independent villages. Literacy in the form of information technology is a learning tool that can bridge village activists in various regions through relevant and sustainable community service program interventions to reduce and minimize the presence of poor communities in villages. Gorontalo Province is ranked 6th out of 10 regions with the highest number of poor people in September 2023 (BPS, January 2024), with a poor population of 15.41 percent and Central Sulawesi is ranked 10th with a percentage of poor people of 12.18 percent. The distribution of poor population areas is found to be in the Tomini Bay area. The Thematic KKN Program by LPPM UNG in 2025 is oriented to improve the quality of the number of community service of UNG lecturers. Providing solutions to partner problems with a holistic approach based on multidisciplinary research that has been implemented and is able to be effective for the priority scale of community development in the 3T region as stated in Presidential Decree No. 63 of 2020 and based on BPS data in 2021. The target of the community-based social literacy empowerment program to support the development of local food economic independence through this Thematic KKN program is the realization of a community that has good knowledge and understanding of social literacy as part of the learning process and has skills that are an effort to improve welfare through economic independence and local food security of the community. The type of literacy development developed is a community-based potential that is worth exploring (village) that is available and has comparative advantages and competitive advantages both economically, socially and environmentally that can be produced and marketed in order to create community economic independence through a local food security program.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the patterns of interpersonal communication between the owner and employees in the management of UMKM Man Mun in Gorontalo City. The research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive research type. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, direct observation, and documentation. The informants in this study consisted of three individuals: one owner and two employees. The data analysis technique refers to the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results reveal that interpersonal communication within the organization is informal, direct, and familial. The owner provides instructions verbally and via short messages, while also showing concern for the personal situations of employees.

Abstract

This community service aims to strengthen the healthcare hospitality support system through education and the implementation of integrated Human Resources (HR) management at Klinik Haji Mabar, Medan City. The novelty of this program lies in its structural upstream approach, utilizing HR administration and competency tracking systems as the fundamental prerequisite to guarantee a consistent hospitality culture, rather than merely focusing on downstream patient interactions. The activity was conducted using a participatory approach comprising four stages: problem identification, material and system design, empathetic communication training and simulation, and implementation mentoring, involving 15 healthcare and administrative staff members. Evaluation results demonstrated a significant 34.97% increase in participants' cognitive understanding, with the average pre-test score (53.61) rising to 88.58 in the post-test. Managerial outputs, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for hospitality service flow and a digitized ordner-based HR archiving system, were successfully implemented. In conclusion, comprehensive HR management structuring interventions are proven to be highly effective in accelerating the capacity of clinic staff to consistently deliver responsive, empathetic, and humanistic excellent service for BPJS Health participants.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance teachers’ understanding of self-awareness as a foundation for professional development, build collective awareness that academic supervision is a constructive form of professional guidance, equip teachers with reflective skills in teaching practices, and strengthen the role of principals as educational supervisors. The program was conducted at SDN 2 Tibawa, Tibawa District, Gorontalo Regency. The methods included socialization, mentoring, and collaborative academic supervision through both group and individual approaches. The results indicate that teachers’ understanding of the importance of self-awareness has improved, teachers increasingly perceive supervision as a constructive professional development process, and they have developed reflective abilities in planning, implementing, and evaluating learning. Additionally, the role of the principal as a supervisor has become more effective through collaboration with senior teachers in supporting continuous teacher competency development. Therefore, this program contributes to improving the quality of teaching and strengthening the academic supervision system in primary schools

Abstract

This community service discusses institutional strengthening and business development strategy training for silver craft entrepreneurs in Pulo-Tempeh. The activity aimed to improve participants' understanding of institutional components, organizational structure, business identity, product development, pricing, SWOT analysis, and digital marketing. The method used was participatory training through material delivery, guided discussion, practical business mapping, and reflection. The novelty of the activity lies in integrating institutional strengthening with practical business strategy in one training design for silver craft micro-enterprises. The activity was held at Wayae Coffee, Pulo-Tempeh, and involved local silver entrepreneurs as participants. The results indicate increased participant awareness of the importance of structured roles, shared rules, business direction, product consistency, market adaptation, SWOT-based planning, and digital promotion. The activity concludes that silver craft businesses require both community-based institutions and market-oriented strategies to strengthen competitiveness and sustainability.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan memperkuat ekonomi kreatif berbasis pangan lokal melalui pelatihan diversifikasi olahan jantung pisang bagi masyarakat Desa Dulomo, Kecamatan Tilango, Kabupaten Gorontalo. Kegiatan dilaksanakan oleh mahasiswa KKN Tematik Universitas Negeri Gorontalo dengan melibatkan pemerintah desa, TP. PKK, dosen pembimbing lapangan, dan unsur masyarakat. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi persiapan, sosialisasi, demonstrasi, praktik langsung, diskusi, pendampingan, dan evaluasi partisipatif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan mampu meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat mengenai potensi ekonomi jantung pisang, memperkenalkan keterampilan pengolahan secara praktis, serta mendorong diversifikasi produk pangan lokal yang bernilai jual. Luaran awal kegiatan meliputi produk olahan, dokumen kerja sama/Implementation Agreement, video kegiatan, serta publikasi media massa. Faktor pendukung utama adalah ketersediaan bahan baku, dukungan kelembagaan, dan partisipasi masyarakat, sedangkan tantangan utama terletak pada kebutuhan pendampingan lanjutan dalam pengemasan, pemasaran, dan standardisasi produk. Program ini berpotensi dilanjutkan melalui pembentukan kelompok usaha, perbaikan label, pemasaran digital, dan monitoring berkala. Dengan demikian, diversifikasi olahan jantung pisang relevan sebagai strategi pemberdayaan untuk mendukung pendapatan keluarga dan ekonomi kreatif desa

Abstract

This community service program aimed to strengthen community social awareness through the integration of Guidance and Counseling services, educational activities, community participation, and local wisdom in East Lobuto Village, Gorontalo Regency. The novelty of this program lies in applying an integrated empowerment model that combines counseling services, community education, participatory approaches, and local cultural values into a unified intervention. The program was implemented through four stages: preparation, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up. The results demonstrated improved community understanding of social issues, increased participation in collective activities, and strengthened social capital through mutual cooperation and solidarity. Collaboration among the university, village government, youth organizations, and community members supported program sustainability. This integrated approach demonstrates the potential of community-based Guidance and Counseling as an effective strategy for strengthening social awareness and promoting sustainable community empowerment.

Abstract

Desa Tabongo Barat Kecamatan Tabongo Kabupaten Gorontalo, terkenal dengan area pertanian tanaman jagung dan padi tetapi sebagaian besar masyarakat mata pencaharian petani jagung permasalahanya adalah Limbah daun jagung dan tongkol menjadi limbah rumah tangga dan makanan ternak di sebabkan masih rendahnya pemahanam masyarakat mengelolah limbah jagung sebenarnya dapat diolah menjadi berbagai kerajinan tangan bernilai seni dan ekonomi tinggi melalui pelatihan yang tepat. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan potensi wilayah dan pengembangan sumber daya lokal guna peningkatan kemandirian masyarakat, kewirausahan serta penguatan desa digital. Melalui kegiatan ini diharapkan masyarakat dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidup dan perekonomian dengan mengoptimalkan potensi lokal yang dimilikinya dan mengembangkan sumber daya lokal yang ada. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah penguatan desa digital yang diharapkan dapat membantu masyarakat dalam meningkatkan akses informasi dan teknologi, serta memudahkan dalam mengelola potensi wilayah dan sumber daya lokal yang dimilikinya. khususnya kelompok masyarakat tani, memiliki keterbatasan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam mengolah menjadi produk pangan bernilai ekonomi. Kondisi ekonomi desa juga dipengaruhi oleh keterbatasan akses terhadap teknologi digital. kegiatan Pengabdian KKN tematik Periode I Tahun 2026 ini dirancang untuk memberdayakan kelompok masyarakat tani Desa Tabongo Barat Kecamatan Tabongo melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan pengolahan sumber daya lokal menjadi produk pangan bernilai ekonomi berbasis teknologi tepat guna. Kegiatan ini bertujuan meningkatkan keterampilan produksi, manajemen usaha, dan pemasaran digital, sehingga mampu mendorong peningkatan pendapatan keluarga, kemandirian ekonomi, serta pemanfaatan potensi lokal secara berkelanjutan.
