Abstract

Background and Purpose: Speed is critical for sports such as swimming and track and field. One of the sports industry's solutions is compression garments to enhance athletic performance. This study aims to determine the effect of short and long compression garments on the speed performance of track and field and swimming athletes of the University of Santo Tomas. Methodology: The researchers used quantitative and experimental methods. This study focused on the athletes of the track and field and swimming teams of the University of Santo Tomas. The researchers conducted the study at the open field and swimming pool within the vicinity of the University; 14 athletes from track and field and 16 from the swimming team were invited to participate in the 60M Sprint Test and Critical Swim Speed Test. Results: The study shows a slight difference in the speed performance of track and field athletes when using short compression garments (7.54m/s) and long compression garments (7.44m/s). While swimming, the speed performance when using a long compression garment (1.450m/s) is higher than the short compression garment (1.512m/s). Both swimming (0.887) and track and field (0.559) show no significant difference in using the compression garment. Conclusion and Recommendations: Based on the study, there is a minimal difference in using long compression garments against short compression garments. Therefore, the researchers recommend using long compression garments since this garment slightly increases participants' speed which is vital in any sport measuring speed to win a race. The researchers recommend further study by increasing the number of participants, only endurance athletes participants, and including the materials used in making the garments. This further helps the claim that long and short compression garments affect speed performance regardless of sports or events.

Abstract

The  purpose  of  the study. This study aims to study and find out this method is used to obtain information directly from informants regarding "The Contribution of Leg Length and Flexibility of Togok To The Ability Of Volleyball Smash At The White Eagle Club Lueng Ie Aceh Besar 2021. Materials and methods. as for the data collection technique using tests and measurements with 15 athletes (Jimenez et al., 2016). The samples available in this study were 12 athletes due to sampling where the number of samples was the same as the population. Using the total sampling technique because according to (Hendra, n.d.) the total population is less than 100 and the entire population is used as a research sample. Results. the results of the calculation of t count smaller than t table or -3.83<2.178813 . This means that the description shows that the hypothesis that the author formulated is that there is no jointly significant contribution between leg length and togok flexibility on the volleyball smash ability of the Lueng ie 2021 white eagle club athlete Conclusions. There is no significant contribution between leg length and togok flexibility with volleyball smash ability in volleyball athletes at the white eagle club Lueng ie. Aceh Besar 2021.

Abstract

The  purpose  of  the study. Development and theoretical substantiation of methods of physical training for children aged 6–7 years playing football at the sports and recreational stage. Materials and methods. The study included a cohort of 12 children, aged 6-7 years, who were participants in the sports and leisure program of the Regional Institution of Educational Institution Belarusian State. The content and sequencing of physical training for children aged 6-7 years in football were determined based on data acquired from pedagogical testing in a sports and recreation group. Results. three motor readiness indicators, one physical readiness indicator, and two special motor readiness indicators all showed significant variability (ranging from 54 to 200%). Out of 171 potential interspecies links, the correlation analysis of the abilities of children aged 6 to 7 showed 18 connections. Conclusions. The physical training regimen for children aged 6-7 who play football is designed based on the specific characteristics of their age and unique development of motor, physical, and specialized motor skills ready. The physical training program at the sports and health stage consists of three modules that focus on addressing the issues related to developing fundamental movements, improving lagging physical and special motor qualities, and subsequently enhancing leading physical and special motor qualities.

Abstract

The purpose of the study. Running speed represents a global marker of individual performance and provides a simple method of objective measurement of motor performance for use in clinical and research environments. Speed is most often at relatively short distances at normal or fast pace, using methods of obtaining manual time (e.g., stopwatch) or automated (e.g., photocells). Materials and methods. The sample consisted of 25 students, 12 males and 13 females, all 13 years old and walked a course 20 meters away, we used to obtain the time elapsed the time, and the method by photocells. The agreement was examined using Bland and Altman graphs and linear regression. Results. There are significant and strong differences between the evaluation methods (T =14,205; p<0,001) and there is a significant and strong correlation between the variables (r = 0.902; p<0.001). Conclusions. This study suggests that for measurement in research context or in sports aimed at high yield it is advisable to use photocell, and the use of the timing method for recreational use.

Abstract

The  purpose  of  the study. This research was motivated by the results of the triple jump carried out by the students of class X SMAN 2 Tapung Hilir not optimal and less precise in its implementation. The triple jump is an athletic sport in the form of jumping, lifting the legs up and forward in an effort to carry the point of weight as long as possible in the air. Materials and methods.. Methods This research uses an experimental method with One Group, namely Pre-test and Post-test Design. The data collection technique was saturated sampling with inclusion and exclusion criteria. Data analysis in this study used the Wilcoxon test, Paired Sample T-test. Results. Data analysis in this study used the Wilcoxon test, Paired Sample T-test. Research results based on the statistical output "Test Statistics", it is known that Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) is worth 0.001. Because the value of 0.001 is smaller than <0.05. Conclusions. The conclusion in this study is that there is a significant effect between the single leg speed hop exercise method and the triple jump ability of the students of SMAN 2 Tapung Hilir.

Abstract

The purpose of the study. Development of batting equipment adapted to the developmental characteristics of children in elementary schools and portable baseball perch poles, which can be used on dirt and concrete courts. Materials and methods. This study uses qualitative and quantitative research using research and development procedures (Research and Development). a) Needs analysis; (b) Model development planning; (c) Expert validation from media experts and material experts, (d) Small group trials and revisions, and (e) Field trials and revisions. Data collection was carried out by observation, interviews and questionnaires. The data collection was adjusted to the model stages. The data collection stages were carried out in the early stages, expert tests, limited tests were carried out on small groups of 30 subjects, and field tests (field testing) of 60 subjects from two different elementary schools. In this study a closed form questionnaire was used containing questions accompanied by available answer choices so that students only need to mark the selected answer. The data obtained are grouped into frequency distributions, then the average percentage of group data is sought. Results. The research results from the first material expert validation test obtained an average of 81.94%, and the second material expert obtained 87.5% in the Very Eligible category. The small group test results obtained 90% with very good criteria, and the large group test results obtained 93% with very decent categories. Conclusions. The use of batting media that has been adapted to reduce weight, and the development of perch poles makes movement activities in small ball games more effective and efficient.
