Abstract

This study explores the challenges faced by Muslim women in establishing catering businesses, primarily due to inadequate marketing strategies. To overcome these obstacles, the research proposes catering business assistance with a focus on utilizing the internet as a platform for product promotion. Incorporating the Marketing 4.0 concept, the study emphasizes the complementary nature of digital-based and traditional marketing to meet consumer demands. The evolution from the AIDA concept to the 4A and 5A models is examined, highlighting attention, attitude, action, and advocacy as essential elements in consumer engagement. The effectiveness of e-commerce is underscored by offering benefits for MSMEs, such as accessing buyers from different regions, cost efficiency, and improved communication. Online media, including platforms like WhatsApp, social media, and email marketing, is discussed for its positive impact on information processing, purchasing decisions, and expanding market networks. The study also emphasizes the need to combine online and offline strategies to enhance digital technology adoption, maintain a personal touch for consumer relationships, and widen business reach. This research emphasizes the importance of digital technology for MSMEs to thrive in the catering industry.

Abstract

The aim of this International Community Service program is to socialize SMEs management based on Sharia Enterprise Theory (SET) in managing banking products as an additional fund for them. Moreover, this program was also carried out to socialize sharia-based business management, regarding SET concept-based accountability. This article is written to present the results of the FGD that illustrate that SMEs actors do not fully understand a SET concept-based accountability in managing their business. Accountability is still understood only as making financial reports in order to obtain credit. In understanding a SET concept-based accountability, SMEs actors must have an Islamic economics thinking paradigm that everything in this world belongs to Allah SWT and humans are only recipients of trust. Furthermore, based on the SET concept, there are three stakeholders in the Company that need to be met in accountability’s indicators, namely God, humans and the universe. Accountability applied by SMEs actors does not yet fully understand that the business they own is a mandate from Allah SWT which must always be accounted for, such as accurate financial reports are made so that Allah's rights are not oppressed, for example in the form of zakat.

Abstract

Cooking oil that is no longer utilized can be used as a basic ingredient in the production of soap bar, and other products that can be used in daily life, such as washing clothes or kitchen utensils. The remainder of cooking oil, also known as waste cooking oil, is typically poured down the drain, where it can plug the drain since the oil freezes at low temperatures, causing environmental pollution. Based on this issue, the FTKE Universitas Trisakti community service team taught inhabitants of 07 Area, Duri Pulo Sub-district, Jakarta how to make bar soap from waste cooking oil. However, waste cooking oil cannot be used directly as an ingredient for creating soap because of the color and aroma, therefore it must be cleaned first by adding activated carbon, namely charcoal as an adsorbent, into the waste cooking oil to absorb the color and aroma. Later on, mix the oil and lye (a combination of NaOH and water), stir until the mixture resembles liquid soap, and then add around 1 ml of fragrance. Put the mixture in the drain. Leave the soap in the mold for 24 hours until it solidifies and hardens, then remove from the mold. It is intended that with this training, locals would be able to better their economic standing by saving more money while simultaneously helping to save the environment.
