Abstract

Hydroponics comes from two Greek syllables, namely hydro which means water and ponos which means power. The definition of hydroponics is cultivating plants without using a planting medium in the form of soil which is replaced with water and other media are added such as gravel, sand or white cork. Based on the background and problem formulation that has been put forward, the aim of this research is to analyze the feasibility of the hydroponic business. Hydroponik farmer Banjarbaru based on non-financial aspects and analyzing the feasibility of the hydroponics business. Hydroponik farmer based on financial aspects. This research was conducted in Landasan Ulin District, Banjarbaru City, South Kalimantan Province. This research was chosen purposively for the reason that Banjarbaru City, especially Landasan Ulin District, has many hydroponic businesses. Research data collection was carried out from May 2024 to June 2024. After that, an analysis was carried out regarding financial aspects consisting of costs and income along with profits. Hydroponik farmer is analyzed using ROI (Return on Investment), NPV (Net Present Value), IRR (Internal Rate of Return), Net B/C ratio, PP (Payback Period), and BEP (Break Event Point). Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, this research is concluded as follows: From a non-financial aspect, Hidroponik FarmerBanjarbaru has been said to be feasible to run, provided that environmental aspects must be improved. Handling of production waste must be managed better, not just piled up at the back of the garden. From a financial aspect, Hydroponik farmer has been said to be feasible to run because it has an ROI value of 24.17%, an NPV of Rp. 79,557,052, IRR of 18.36 %, Net B/C ratio of 1.78, Payback Period of 6 years, 1 months, 16 days, BEP price of Rp. 14,557.60 per kilogram and production BEP of 4.571 per year

Abstract

Phytopharmaceuticals are currently the focus for overcoming fish disease problems which cause environmentally friendly aspects. Phytopharmaceuticals are the preparation and use of medicinal plants in the fisheries sector as a preventive measure and treatment of disease. Efforts to control fish diseases in various ways include phytomarfaca, environmentally friendly, safe for cultivated biota and consumers (food safety). Phytopharmaceuticals as growth promoters, antibacterial agents, anti-fungal agents, anti-parasitic agents, antioxidant agents, immunostimulants for fish, adjuvants in vaccines, antiviral agents. Abstract

Spawning is a stage carried out to support the availability of tilapia seeds. After being spawned, the broodstock requires a process of maturation of the gonads again (rematuration). The rematuration stage is very important to pay attention to because it greatly influences the success of spawning as well as the quantity and quality of the larvae produced.  This preliminary study aims to find out and examine the use of duck eggs (Anas domesticus) and bean sprouts (Flammulina velutipes) in feed to improve the quality of rematuration in tilapia.  The method used in this preliminary study is an exploratory descriptive method.  The test fish used were female tilapia fish that were 11 months old, started to be spawned on June 5 2023 and were recorded as having been spawned 7 times with an average weight of 200 grams. Broodstock selection will be carried out after spawning is complete. This selection aims to ensure that the fish are in healthy condition and ready for rematuration.  The feed used was floating feed manufactured by CPP with 29% protein. Apart from using manufactured feed in this research, duck eggs were also added at 12% and bean sprouts at 25% of the feed weight per day.  Feeding is done twice a day, namely morning and evening with a FR of 5% of biomass.   The research results showed that the HSI value of tilapia showed development during the rematuration period, getting an HSI value of 2.53% and a GSI value of 3.15%

Abstract

This study aimed to assess the water quality parameters and identify non-pathogenic diseases as indicators of fish health in the Mali-Mali Village Watershed (DAS). The method employed was a survey conducted at the Mali-Mali Village Watershed in Banjar Regency, South        Kalimantan. Water quality samples were collected using purposive sampling at observation   stations located upstream, midstream, and downstream of the Mali-Mali Village Watershed.  The parameters of temperature, pH, and DO were within ranges that supported the cultivation of Nile tilapia in fish cages at the Mali-Mali Village Watershed. However, the parameters of Ammonia and BOD were at levels that did not support the cultivation of Nile tilapia in fish cages at the Mali-Mali Village Watershed. Generally, no clinical symptoms of non-pathogenic diseases were found

Abstract

The waters of the Tatah Bangkal swamp have an important ecological and economic role, especially as a habitat for various fish species. However, the entry of domestic waste can cause changes in water quality and have an impact on the survival of aquatic biota. This study aims to determine the impact of domestic waste on water quality and the diversity of fish species in the waters of the Tatah Bangkal Swamp RT 34, Kelayan Timur Village, Banjarmasin City. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. Observations were carried out for 15 days with water quality parameters observed ex situ including Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), and ammonia (NH3), while temperature, dissolved oxygen (DO), and pH were observed in situ. In addition, interviews with local people were conducted to determine changes in fish species in the waters. The results showed that the water temperature ranged from 27.2–27.6°C with a pH of 7.63–9.09. BOD values ​​range from 16.89–17.57 mg/L, COD 17.85–21.53 mg/L, DO 1.13–1.40 mg/L, and NH3 0.3–0.8 mg/L. Based on Class III water quality standards in PP No. 22 of 2021, several water quality parameters do not meet the standards, especially pH, BOD, and DO. Interviews with the community showed that since 2016 there has been a decline in fish catches, including the loss of local species such as papuyu fish (Anabas testudineus) and catfish (Oxyeleotris marmorata). This decline is thought to be caused by water pollution from domestic waste and the dominance of invasive species, such as catfish (Pterygoplichthys spp.)

Abstract

The integration of Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) with biostimulant technology represents an innovative approach in sustainable aquaculture. This combined system facilitates efficient water usage, optimal environmental control, and enhanced productivity. This article presents a comprehensive literature review of various relevant sources, examining the working principles, key components, current applications in Indonesia, and the social approach to empowering disabled communities through this technology. The review findings indicate that the integration of RAS technology with biostimulants is not only technically effective but also yields positive socioeconomic impacts for vulnerable groups, particularly disabled communities. With proper management, this system holds promise as an adaptive and inclusive aquaculture model for the future.

Abstract

This research aims to determine production costs, revenues, profits and feasibility of mr.Katimin broiler chicken business in west Mandiangin villige. This research method uses the case study method. The case study method is reaserch about a case where each prosess in carried out in detail, sharply and in depth. The case studies was a broiler chicken business with a patthership pattern. The result of the research obtained a total cost (production cost) of IDR.29.211,055/ month, the amount of revenue is IDR 110.772,230/ production period. The Profit obtained is IDR.13.624.730/production period, and the Fesiability obtained was 1.13. From the RCR value, it can be said that this partnership pattern broiler business is stillworth pursuing

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine technically and financially the meranti wood pellet processing business in Gambut Village, Gambut District, Banjar Regency by collecting primary and secondary data, taking respondents using the case study method. The results obtained are total variable costs of IDR 2,480,529, total revenue obtained from the sale of all Meranti Wood Pellet products is IDR 4,965,000 and Revenue is IDR 2,484,471.

Abstract

The prospect of developing Tomato plants (Solanum lycopersicum L.) in Murung A Village, Batu Benawa District, Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency, South Kalimantan Province”. Total production is 52,892 kg with an average of 4,408 kg/farmer. Income is the multiplication of total production by the current price, with an average of Rp 28,649,833,-/farmer. The average income obtained by farmers in one harvest season is Rp 18,676,545,-/farmer and the average profit obtained by tomato farmers is Rp 15,530,820.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between water depth and rice yields in tidal swamps in Melayu Ilir Village, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan. Data collection was carried out during one planting season with periodic measurements of water depth and rice yields in tons/ha. The analysis was carried out using linear and polynomial regression to determine the best statistical model that represents the relationship between water depth and plant productivity. The results showed that the relationship between water depth and yields was negative and non-linear, with a third-order polynomial model as the best model (R² = 0.995). The optimal water depth to achieve maximum yields is in the range of 10–20 cm. Increasing water depth above 30 cm tends to cause a significant decrease in yields. This study provides a scientific basis for precise and sustainable irrigation management in swamps
