Abstract

This study aims to test and analyze Employee Commitment and Communication to Employee Performance at Cooperative CU Mandiri Unit Areas Tebing Tinggi. The data was collected through interviews and questionnaires distributed to 67 employees at CU Mandiri Cooperative Unit of Tebing Tinggi District. Data analysis in this study using SPSS version 20. The technique used is the method of sampling and data testing techniques used in this study include the validity test and reliability test, the classical assumption test. Multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis test also conducted to test and prove hypothesis in research. Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the subjective attitudes and norms of consumer behavior to buy a Honda Absolute Revo motorcycle for the people of Bantan Village, Medan Tembung Sub-District. The benefits of research are to provide input for companies in order to formulate marketing strategies and contribute to researchers in the field of marketing science. Number of samples 96 respondents. Data collection techniques used were interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis method used is the Behavioral Intention (BI) Model. Based on the results of the study obtained the equation of interest in behavior (BI) as follows: BI = W1Ab + W2SN = 0.61Ab + 0.39SN. This means that greater behavioral interest is influenced by community attitudes of 0.61 (61%) from subjective norms of 0.39 (39%). Based on the description, it can be concluded that subjective attitudes and norms influence the behavior of the community in Bantan Village, Medan Tembung-Medan District in buying a Honda Absolute Revo motorcycle. We recommend that manufacturers of Honda Absolute Revo need to pay attention to the attitude of the people in buying motorbikes, especially affordable motorcycle prices, high resale prices, the excitement of fuel consumption, and ease of maintenance. Because these four attributes are the most dominant attributes affecting the attitude of the people to buy a Honda Absolute Revo motorcycle

Abstract

Portfolio Analysis is one of the alternative alternative tools in making investment decisions in stocks. In investing, if it only depends on one type of stock, it is likely that many investors will bear the risk. This stage involves identifying which securities will be chosen to form a portfolio and what proportion of funds will be invested in each of these securities. The selection of these securities (in other words, investors diversify) is intended to minimize the risk borne. The selection of these securities will be influenced by risk preferences, cash needs patterns, and tax status. Investment decisions are decisions taken by investors to allocate the funds they have in the form of certain assets (financial assets) in the hope that they will get economic benefits in the future. If the decision taken is to buy a certain number of shares, then that is expected to get dividends and capital gains if the shares are resold. The main consideration for fund owners (investors) in optimizing investment decisions is to maximize the level of return on investment (risk) for certain investments (Saragih et al., 2006). The making of an investment decision framework largely determines the success of an investor in optimizing the level of investment returns and reducing as little as possible the risks faced (Markowitz, 1952). In connection with the above, the main problem in this study is how to design an optimal portfolio simulation which is a combination of LQ 45 liquid stocks listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The research data was conducted on LQ 45 shares during the period March - June 2012. The variables of this study were stock prices, returns, standard deviations of returns. The statistical method used is the F-test for homogeneity of variants. The results showed that only 16 stocks had optimal portfolios. Optimal portfolio, characterized by high return and low risk.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze the dominant factor influencing job satisfaction of employees at PT Astra Branch Medan. The study population was all employees of PT Astra Branch Medan in 2012 as many as 132 people. Samples were taken as many as 105 people. Data collection techniques used were questionnaires and documentation techniques. To analyze the data used factor analysis. From the results of research and discussion shows that the dominant factor influencing job satisfaction of employees of PT Astra Branch Medan is an incentive or bonus, employment policies and procedures, promotion, intrinsic of employment, social security and service vehicles. The most dominant factor influencing job satisfaction is an incentive or bonus. Advice given to the leadership of the company is to increase employee job satisfaction, companies should add big incentives or bonuses, pay attention to the determination of employment policies and procedures, maintain the social security administration and service vehicles. Companies should provide the greatest opportunities for the best performing employees to be promoted to a higher position.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an influence between service quality, price and location on customer satisfaction either partially or simultaneously on Milala Service Station Medan. The population of this research is the service users of Milala Service Station during the study period with a total sample of 82 respondents with purposive sampling technique. Data collection method with a questionnaire. Data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The multiple linear regression equation obtained from the test results is Y = -0,636 + 0,145X1 + 0,224X2 + 0,236X3 + ei, meaning that simultaneous service quality, price and location have a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction of users of MilalaService Station Medan services. However, location variable is the most influential variable on customer satisfaction of service users of Medan Milala Service Station. With a regression coefficient of 0.236 or 23.6%, this means that Milala Medan Service Station should maintain its existing location. R square of 0.401, meaning that variations in customer satisfaction can be explained by variations in service quality, price and location by 40.1% and the remaining 59.9% can be explained by other variables not explained in this study. From the results of research and discussion, Medan Milala Service Station should further develop and maintain indicators of service quality, price and location available at Medan Milala Service Station, so that employees can further enhance customer satisfaction.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi struktur modal. Populasi yang digukan adalah perusahan Makanan dan Minuman yang Go publik dan Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia tahun 2006-2009. Sampel yang diambil adalah 10 perusahaan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, bahwa variabel profitabilitas, struktur aktiva, pertumbuhan aktiva, dan leverage operasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap struktur modal (DER) pada perusahaan Makanan dan Minuman yang Go public dan Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia. Nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 0.9960 berarti secara keseluruhan variabel Profitabilitas, struktur aktiva, pertumbuhan aktiva,dan leverage operasi mampu menjelaskan variasi struktur modal. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa profitabilitas berpengaruh positif secara parsial terhadap struktur modal. Leverage operasi berpengaruh positif secara parsial terhadap struktur modal. Struktur aktiva berpengaruh negatif secara parsial terhadap struktur moda. Pertumbuhan aktiva mempunyai pegaruh negatif secara parsial terhadap struktur modal.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know how big influence of entrepreneurial knowledge to entrepreneurship interests Student Program the Study of Faculty of Management of Saint Thomas Catholic University Medan. Research type used by descriptive and kuantitatif. Sampel research as much 96 Responder with the method of maximum sampling error intake from population conducted at random (random sampling). Data required to be collected through kuesioner by online. Method Analyse the data used is with the simple linear regression analysis. Result of research descriptively that entrepreneurial knowledge of Student Program the dominant Management Study agree equal to 51,04 % to entrepreneurial knowledge. While equal to 44,17 % that entrepreneurial knowledge can support the Student to hanker the entrepreneurship. Result of examination obtained: 1). Coefficient Determinasi ( R2) equal to its 0,230 meaning entrepreneurial knowledge able to explain the entrepreneurship interests of Student equal to 23,0 %, and 77,0 % is again influenced by other;dissimilar factor which is not explained this research (for example introductory sinergi entrepreneurial knowledge of Business, Makerting, e-commerce). 2). Equation of Regresi Y = 1.966+0,490+e. Where about mount the signifikan 0.000 < 0,05, by t-hitung equal to 5.306 > t-tabel equal to 1,65 hence Ho refused its meaning entrepreneurial knowledge own the influence which are positive and signifikan to entrepreneurship interests of Student. Suggested: 1). Because coefficient determinasi ( R2) still equal to its 0,230 meaning still lower the influence of entrepreneurial knowledge able to explain the entrepreneurship interests of Student, hence to support and also to grow the entrepreneurial knowledge of Student needed the make-up of items more aplikatif with the support sinergi from entrepreneurial knowledge other; dissimilar like Business. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pertumbuhan ekonomi dan pengembangan sector potensial di Kabupaten Nias Utara. Objek penelitian yang diamati selama lima tahun, yaitu periode 2007-2011. Kurun waktu selama 5 (lima) tahun ini dilandasi oleh tersedianya data hasil perhitungan PDRB Kabupaten Nias Utara dan data PDRB Provinsi Sumatera Utara dari tahun 2007 hingga tahun 2011. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah Location Quotient. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sektor sektor pertanian, sektor pertambangan dan Penggalian.

Abstract

Human resource strategy is part of the business strategy implementation process. Certain business strategies require specific competencies and personal characteristics. Human resource strategy is a derivation of changes in business strategy or company strategy.This research is intended to know:1) What is the stated business strategy of the Catholic University of Saint Thomas Medan? ; 2) What is the human resource strategy implemented by the Catholic University of Saint Thomas Medan? ; 3) .Is the human resource strategy implemented in accordance with the business strategy of the Catholic University of Saint Thomas Medan? Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that the human resource strategy is in accordance with the business strategy of the Catholic University of Saint Thomas Medan. This can be proven by the following data: a) In 1984-2000, the Corporate strategy was a Growth strategy by conducting Market Development and Product Development. The Business strategy is Defender while the Human resource strategy is Club; b) In 2001-2015, the Corporate strategy is Growth (Product development) and Retrenchment (Turnaround). Its Business strategy is Defender and Reactor, while its Human resource strategy is Club and Fortress; c) In 2016-present, the Corporate strategy is Stability and Growth (Market development & Product development). Abstract

This study aims: First, to get the variables that affect the price earnings ratio. Second, to obtain empirical evidence about the impact of these variables on price earnings ratio. To achieve this purpose, research on companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange at the end of 2013. The number of companies manufacturing the research samples as many as 98 companies. By using eight regression model to explain the determinants of price-earnings ratio is obtained the following results. First, return on equity, the expected yield or capitalization rate, growth, dividend payout ratio, total asset turnover, net profit margin, and the debt to equity ratio is a determinant of price-earnings ratio. Second, the return on equity have a positive influence and significant impact on the price earnings ratio, expected returns or the capitalization rate affects negatively and significantly influence on the price earnings ratio, growth positive influence and significant impact on the price earnings ratio, dividend payout ratio positive effect and significant to price earnings ratio, total asset turnover and significant positive effect on the price-earnings ratio, net profit margin and significant positive effect on the price-earnings ratio, and debt to equity ratio and significant positive effect on the price earnings ratio. Third, the debt to equity ratio is the dominant determinant of the price earnings ratio. Fourth, the price earnings ratio variation able to be explained by variations in the independent variables of 43.1 to 75.6 percent. It may therefore be argued that this study is useful for: First, to provide information to investors about the variables that need to be considered when investing in the stock market and affect the price earnings ratio. These variables are the retention ratio, dividend payout ratio, total asset turnover, net profit margin, debt to equity ratio, the required yield, growth, and return on equity. Second, add a reference to the capital market in relation to fundamental factors. Third, the results of this study are expected to be a reference to the head of the company in order to increase the value of the company.
