Abstract

Chairman of the Central Board of the Indonesian Pediatric Association (IDAI), said that Covid-19 cases in children in the country increased by 11-12 percent. During the pandemic, the number of deaths of children under five increased by 50 percent or there were 1,000 deaths in children every week. UGM epidemiologist, said that actually from the beginning children have a risk of being infected with sars cov-2. He mentioned that in DIY itself the first case of Covid-19 was in children.(1) Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) is needed by students at school to avoid various diseases. one of them is washing hands with soap and clean water as well as healthy snacks.(2) The purpose of this service is to provide information and education about PHBS for orphanage children, so that they are able to have PHBS. The method used begins with opening, introduction, prayer, and presentation of health education materials, question and answer sessions, evaluation, games, door prizes, closing and group photos. The results of this activity, orphanage children understand PHBS, the orphanage management is helped because children have received information and provision of PHBS during the co-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Knowledge is the basis for a person in doing something, knowledge can be obtained from learning, experience and guidance. Based on the results of interviews from 9 students who attended the guidance, 7 students did not know the benefits of massage on infant growth and development and the management of Mom and Baby Spa. This service aims to determine the effect of guidance with student knowledge. The importance of providing education and guidance on the Benefits of Massage on Infant Growth and Management of Mom and Baby SPA to students is a preventive step. This activity begins with a pretest, counseling and posttest to determine the level of knowledge. The results obtained were an increase in knowledge of the Hopeful Midwifery Academy Students of Ibu Pekalongan after being given guidance on the benefits of massage on infant growth and development and management of Mom and Baby SPA.

Abstract

Cancer is a disease that causes a lot of misery and death in humans. Breast cancer is the uncontrolled growth of cells in the breast. The emergence of these cancer cells occurs as a result of mutations or abnormal changes in genes that are responsible for maintaining cell growth and keeping it normal (healthy). Breast cancer can be detected early by means of breast selfexamination, clinical examination and mammography examination to find out early. BSE examination can be started early to become a routine habit in order to detect breast cancer early. The purpose of this service is to provide information about adolescent reproductive health, especially about early detection of breast cancer by conducting breast self-examination. The method used in this community service activity begins with the opening and introduction of the resource persons, then continues with the delivery of health education materials, a question and answer session to participants and finally closing. With this activity, the youth organizations find it helpful because young people have received information and supplies in detecting breast cancer from an early age.

Abstract

Pregnant Women Class is a study group for pregnant women with a gestational age of between 4 weeks and 36 weeks (before delivery). Pregnancy is one of the stages of life that must be prepared by a woman, in the process of pregnancy physiological and psychological changes occur due to an increase in estrogen and progesterone. The risk factors for maternal death during childbirth began from under-monitored pregnancy. One of the efforts to reduce maternal mortality is through classes for pregnant women. This class for pregnant women is a means to learn together about health for pregnant women, in the form of face-to-face in groups that aims to increase the knowledge and skills of mothers regarding pregnancy, pregnancy care, childbirth, postpartum care, newborn care, myths, diseases. infection and birth certificates. The objectives of implementing this community service are: Increasing interaction and sharing experiences between participants (pregnant women and pregnant women) and between pregnant women and health workers/midwives, Increasing understanding, attitudes and behavior of pregnant women about classes for pregnant women, body changes and complaints, treatment pregnancy and preparation for delivery. To be able to improve the knowledge and skills of mothers regarding pregnancy, pregnancy care, childbirth, community service can be carried out in the form of maternal and child health counseling that can be carried out through pregnant women classes. From the results of the activity, it can be concluded that the activity went smoothly, the participants were enthusiastic in participating in the counseling and question and answer session and were active in doing pregnancy exercise, most of the participants said they felt relaxed and excited after participating in the pregnancy exercise and were also ready to wait for the delivery process.

Abstract

The problem of nutrition in Indonesia is still a serious problem. In essence, it stems from an economic situation that lacks limited knowledge about nutrition. Nutritional status is a measure of success in meeting the nutritional needs of children and the use of nutrients indicated by the child's weight and height. Nutritional needs in adolescence are very large because they are still growing. One of the main nutritional problems for adolescents in developing countries is malnutrition, which is reflected in stunting, underweight, stunted growth, and intrauterine growth retardation (IUGR) in pregnant adolescent girls. The purpose of this community service is to increase adolescent knowledge about the fulfillment of adolescent nutrition and stunting prevention education. The methods of health education carried out are (1) Socialization and Licensing, (2) Affirmation and Pre Test (3) Conducting health education regarding the fulfillment of adolescent nutrition and stunting prevention education. (4) Evaluation of the results of health education activities with Post Test. The results of this health education are expected to increase the knowledge and understanding of participants about the importance of fulfilling adolescent nutrition and stunting prevention education. The output of this activity is shown by increasing participants' knowledge about the importance of fulfilling adolescent nutrition and stunting prevention education which can be seen from the results of pre and post test questionnaires.

Abstract

Breastfeeding is an unbeatable way of providing the ideal food for the healthy growth and development of the baby. In addition, it has a unique biological and psychiatric influence on the health of the mother and baby. Anti-infective substances contained in breast milk help protect the baby against diseases. However, breastfeeding is not always able to go on normally. Not a few mothers will complain such as breast swelling due to breast milk buildup due to uneven discharge or suction by the baby. Therefore, in order to avoid this kind of condition from occurring, it is necessary to do a lactation massage. The purpose of this community service is so that breastfeeding mothers know and understand how to overcome breast milk that does not come out during breastfeeding with lactation massage techniques so that the prevalence of babies who get exclusive breastfeeding is higher. This training was carried out at the Posyandu kejora Cemerlang Pekanbaru City with the number of participants as many as 20 people. The method of implementing activities broadly includes the stages of counseling, practice and evaluation. After providing education and practicing lactation massage, there was an increase in the knowledge and skills of pregnant women about lactation massage, where at the time of the pre-test the level of knowledge of mothers with the less category was 13 people (67%), while with the good category was 7 people (33%) while at the time of the post-test the level of knowledge of mothers with less category was 1 person (5%) and with a good category was 19 people (93%). It is necessary to carry out continuous mentoring activities for pregnant women which can be done through the formation of discussion groups either directly with regular meetings or indirectly with whatsapp groups, so that the problems experienced by mothers during pregnancy to breastfeeding can be resolved.

Abstract

The factor for increasing the maternal mortality rate is the risk of 4 Too (too young, too close birth spacing of less than 3 years and too many more than 2 (two) children). The percentage of mothers who died giving birth under 20 years and over 35 years was 33 % of all maternal deaths, so that family planning programs can be implemented with health education, 33% of maternal deaths can be prevented through the use of contraception. Interviews were conducted at the Permata Hati clinic, several postpartum mothers did not know in detail about the types of family planning and its benefits and effectiveness. Abstract

Early breastfeeding initiation is one way for babies to get colostrum, colostrum is the first liquid secreted by the breast glands, one of the causes of low nutrition is the level of IMD including colostrum feeding, colostrum is an antibody that is ready to protect the baby when the baby's condition is very weak. Colostrum is given when the first milk comes out, after that it is transitional breast milk, breast milk is given to babies for 6 months without any additional food, and can be given for 2 years. Exclusive breastfeeding is the best supplementary food and is a natural nutrient that is needed in the process of growth and development of the baby. The provision of colostrum and exclusive breastfeeding is still relatively low due to many mothers who do not understand and lack of knowledge about colostrum and exclusive breastfeeding. The purpose of this community service is to provide information about the importance of giving colostrum and exclusive breastfeeding to newborns. The method used in this community service activity begins with the opening and introduction of the speakers, then continued with the delivery of counseling material about colostrum and exclusive breastfeeding, question and answer sessions to participants and finally closing. With this activity, it can increase the knowledge of mothers about the provision of colostrum at the time of the first milk discharge and the importance of exclusive breastfeeding until the age of 6 months.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease caused by insulin disorders, which is characterized by increased blood glucose levels (hyperglycemia). The incidence of diabetes in the world continues to increase. Diabetes can cause blindness, kidney failure, heart attack, stroke, and lower limb amputation. Diabetes can be prevented with a healthy lifestyle such as diet, physical activity, maintaining an ideal body weight, and reducing cigarette consumption. One of the efforts to increase knowledge to prevent diabetes is to provide health education to the society. The purpose of this society service is to increase public knowledge to prevent diabetes. The method used is health education with lectures and discussions about: the definition of DM; signs and symptoms; risk factor; prevention; and complications. The media used is a leaflet. Stages of health education carried out include pre-test, lecture-question and answer, post-test. The results showed that after being given health education, almost all of the participants knew the material provided.

Abstract

The program for exclusive breastfeeding (ASI) is a priority program to address the prevalence of undernutrition and malnutrition. The Integrated Service Post (Posyandu) is an extension of the Puskesmas that provides health services and monitoring in an integrated manner. Posyandu as the spearhead of public health services has an important role in increasing exclusive breastfeeding and also continuing breastfeeding until the age of 24 months and monitoring growth and development from birth to 60 months of age. The role of cadres in organizing Posyandu is very large because apart from being a provider of health information to the community they are also a motivator for the community to come to Posyandu and carry out clean and healthy living behaviors, where exclusive breastfeeding is an indicator of PHBS. Rebug Village, Winong Health Center Work Area, has 3 Posyandu with 12 cadres. Data on breastfeeding mothers in Rebug Village are 24 people, with details of 6 people having babies 0-6 months, 7-11 months 2 people and 12-24 months 16 people. Of the 6 people who have babies aged 0-6 months, 5 of them give complementary foods with formula milk for work reasons. The aim of counseling is to measure the level of knowledge and understanding of Rebug Village cadres about exclusive breastfeeding and to measure the level of understanding of cadres about how to properly manage lactation. The result of counseling is an increase in knowledge and understanding of cadres after being given counseling on exclusive breastfeeding and lactation management.
