Abstract

Abstract: The researcher will try to Dance is the art of movement of the body, usually rhythmically, improvised steps and gestures. Children to adults prefer the art of dance. In dynamic and modern society, the trend changes rapidly and it makes the competition in Dance Industry become higher. Nowadays, many Indonesian people being a multitalented which they think needs to develop their talents, gain experiences and famous with join a dance agency. The objective of this research is to identify the customer perception of dance agency in Bandung. While, Wanna be Pro be ranked as the first established and best dance studio in Bandung. Then, this research will assist Wanna be Pro in finding what Wanna be Pro should develop or repair in gaining a better performance in the business.

Abstract

Abstract – The main theme of this research is Marketing and focus on measuring satisfaction level from Keuken #5 culinary event that organized by House The House based on Importance Performance Analysis (IPA). The IPA model which showed graphical representation of the data, whereby event organizations can see areas of strength and weakness from event attributes is divided into four quadrants, with importance on the y-axis and performance on the x-axis, according to Martilla and James the resources should be allocate to improve attributes that reside in quadrant I. The result of the  analysis showed the overall visitor satisfaction level for Keuken was scored 3.7 which reported between “Ok” and “Satisfied”. Convenient parking, food/beverages prices, and shopping attributes item are attributes which reside in quadrant I and  considered as main priority for improvement. Local food,  come and go, clean site, attractive environment, event guide, and opening/closing time, are attributes lay in quadrant II which considered as attributes that should be maintained. Entertainment and good local restaurant attributes lay in quadrant IV which are considered as attributes that possibly overkill. Celebrity chef demos, festival souvenir, and cooking demonstration attributes lay in quadrant III which considered as last priority.Keywords: Keuken, culinary event, customer satisfaction, Importance-Performance Analysis

Abstract

Abstract. PT Bio Farma as the only one vaccine manufacturer in Indonesia, the first in ASEAN and one of the 30 world companies which gain WHO( World Health Manufacturer ) prequalification certification which considered as the highest standard of quality, faces the tight competition in current vaccine and global pharmaceutical market. As a result, to develop such good strategic, the company needs to assess its performance with one of the option by comparing company’s financial report with existing financial ratios methodology. The methodology using both quantitative and qualitative approaches with uses of three main frameworks to 10 world companies that divided by Indonesia companies, Other Developing Countries and Global Leading Pharmaceutical Manufacturers: 1. Most Common Financial Ratios 2. BUMN Financial Scoring 3. Moody’s Global Pharmaceutical Rating. The result then will be analyzed by qualitative approach to give recommendation for the company. Although Bio Farma considered as the small companies within the samples, in general Bio Farma has outperformed most of the financial ratios above the industries average with the exception of total asset turnover, product theurapetic diversity, revenues and too high of current and cash ratio which indicates the unproductive investment. Example of above ratios are Net Profit Margin 24% (Global 8%), Dupont Analysis 22% (Global 16%), considered as Healthy in BUMN Scoring (Total Score 94%, Global 70%)  and obtained Baa1, 7.92 in Moody’s Rating, only below Leading Industries Moody’s Rating Average.Keywords: Financial performance analysis, financial assessment, dupont Analysis, financial ratios, BUMN Scoring, Moody’s Rating.

Abstract

Abstract-Engagement between the company and employees must be built to create the impulse for employees to work more optimally. Employee engagement can make more profit because the employees are not only thinking of themselves, but also they are trying to improve and develop where he works. Nowadays, OJK employees are in transition period or can be called also as temporary employees. The uncertainty of the employee as a permanent employee can be something risky for OJK. Therefore, OJK should attract the temporary employees that are in the transition period be more engage to company. This study aims for measure and determine the level of employee engagement in OJK using Aon Hewitt’s model. The sample used in this study is simple random sampling with the required total respondents amounted to 92 people. Distribution of the questionnaire addressed in accordance with the scope which is to the OJK employees from BI. To see the relationship of independent variables on the dependent variable, multiple linear regression method is used. The results of this research is the formed of new factor consist of six variables equal to the number of previous factors. These six factors have a very strong  relationship with the level of employee engagement. Abstract

Abstract – Performance efficiency of a bank being reliable to keeping trust and loyalty of clients. Banking performance can be seen from it profitability value, and as a result, financial ratios analysis in financial statement become an issue. This research focus on finding financial ratios that possible to be the profitability determinants of Islamic banks in Indonesia. Besides that, this research used quantitative analysis with CAMEL Method which consists of five aspects; there are capital, asset, management, earning, and liquidity. Independent variables that tested as the determinants of profitability are NPF, BOPO, NIM, FDR, PPAP Compliance, NPA, EA, and LIQD. In other side, dependent variable which represents bank’s profitability is ROA Through purposive sampling technique, selected 6 banks as samples that met with the criteria of 5 years observation period (2009 – 2013) from 11 population of Islamic banks in Indonesia. The samples data analyzed using SPSS and had passed classical assumption test and multiple linear regression to determine the regression model feasibility. Classical assumption tests that used are normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, and autocorrelation test. While multiple linear regression shown in F-test and T-test. The result indicated that NPF, BOPO, NIM, FDR, PPAP Compliance, NPA, EA, and LIQD give significant effect simultaneously to ROA as profitability ratio of Islamic banks in Indonesia. Then partially, NIM and PPAP Compliance give significant positive effect to ROA, whereas BOPO has negatively significant influence to ROA. And other ratios, which are NPF, FDR, NPA, EA, and LIQD, have no significant effect on profitability of Islamic banks in Indonesia. Based on R-square value, the effect of those independent variables to ROA is 91.7%, so 8.3% residue is influenced by other variables outside this research. Based on that result, Islamic banks in Indonesia should increase the assets quality (PPAP Compliance), profit sharing income (NIM), and operational efficiency (BOPO). Its good for banks to give more focus on those area as an effort to gain public enthusiasm by showing the quality of banks with highest priority is BOPO by looking at it value which is 0.915. Second priority is NIM ratio, then third priority is PPAP Compliance ratio. Related to BOPO, bank management should validates every cost or expenses taken out by bank, whether it is necessary to issued or not. Related to NIM bank always calculates the cost of funds carefully so it can determines the competitive based profit sharing percentages. Abstract

Abstract- The background of this research is due to the doubts of the company director in evaluating competency of his employees. Based on that, the purpose of this research is to find out competency requirements from HR, develop competency evaluation method and identify competency gaps out of the evaluation, and then to provide suggestion and recommendation for PT Eigerindo Multi Produk Industri. PT Eigerindo Multi Produk Industri is the producer and distributor of outdoor gear most known as Eiger. The name Eiger is inspired from a gallant mount of the Alps of Bernese, Switzerland, mount Eiger. Established on 17 of August 1989 and has 125 stores all over Indonesia until now.The methodology used in this research is 360 degree feedback evaluation method. The feedback is done with competency identification. The definitions of competency are mostly taken from Spencer’s competency dictionary, and chosen based on HR section chief interviewed. The data analysis starts from create job key performance indicator, identify requirements of competencies, and determine the expected and current levels of competency. Then followed by calculate the competency gaps using simple substraction of expected level to current level, and find out the gaps which have urgency to be improved, and give recommendation of improvement for PT Eigerindo Multi Produk Industri.From this research, there will be a conclusion and some recommendations. The result shown there are four employee job positions that can be evaluated. Furthermore, there are several significant gaps occur in each of job position while averaging the competency gaps for sales and retail division, which is lead to some incompatibility between existing employees competence with their job requirements. At the end of this research, there will be several recommendations for company and further researcher. The recommendations for the company are to educate and train the evaluated employees and use the calculation of 360 degree evaluation on this study as a reference. Furthermore, another recommendation is addressed for further researcher to create recommendation of improvement by also find out about the closeness of evaluators with the ones evaluated.Keywords: competency, key performance indicator, 360 feedback evaluation, competency gaps

Abstract.Entrepreneurship is key driver of economic condition of a country. One important role that entrepreneurs play is creating job opportunities. The increased employment level will mitigate or reduce poverty levels and economic disparities and increase the per capita income all of which are indicators of economic development. This final project is to analysis is about social entrepreneurship (a case studty of roemah entrepreneur). The model used assess participation, observation, and interview. This models explain about impact to the member of Roemah Entrepreneur, impact to the surrounding  community, corporate social responsibility, community development, community empowerment, and social entrepreneurship. Abstract. Every company needs a strategy designed to achieve the vision and objectives of the company, which must be appropriated to the demands of the existing business environment. One of the strategy that must be considered by company is the effort to attract investors.This research focuses on the trend of each financial ratio analysis, calculation of financial ratios investors processed in accordance with existing formulations, i.e: capital adequacy ratio (CAR), cost to income (CIR), net income margin (NIM), non performing loan (NPL), loan to deposit ratio (LDR), and return on asset (ROA). Making conclusion taken from the result of the analysis, based on the analysis, conclusion be obtained from testing expert’s theory with researcher allegation along with facts on the field. Each of the financial ratios that have been calculated will determine the year base as basis of comparison and given the index number 100. Population of this research are all banking companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. Purposive sampling used as the sampling technique, using random type of sample selection with certain consideration to be sample. As of the consideration, the company must be listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange period of 2009 – 2013, and listed five years respectively in LQ45 index. With the result are Bank Central Asia, Tbk, Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero), Tbk, Bank Danamon Indonesia, Tbk, and Bank Mandiri (Persero), Tbk.After forecasting using trend analysis (time series analysis) then the result are as follows, in 2014 and 2015 company with highest CAR prediction is Bank Rakyat Indonesia. While the highest CIR, NIM, and LDR prediction is Bank Central Asia, Tbk. For the highest ROA and NPL prediction is Bank Danamon Indonesia, Tbk.Keywords : Banking, Financial Ratio Analysis

Abstract

Abstract. This research devoted to evaluate the business strategy that currently being used by Kedai Papa Liem, a small restaurant that serve for all day dining occasion from breakfast until dinner. The restaurant purposely located near Setra Duta Real Estate main gate to scoop up all residents that lived inside Setra Duta Real Estate that said to be Kedai Papa Liem’s main target market. Kedai Papa Liem first opening was in late-November 2013. They received a good response from the market. But since mid-January 2014 Kedai Papa Liem faces some difficulty to growth. The market started to saturated along with many new restaurant that opened around Pasteur road. Moreover those new restaurants are popular in Jakarta, so it attract many people included Setra Duta Resident which is Kedai Papa Liem’s main customer to try them. This condition would disturb their plan to hold a Grand Opening in early February 2014, to celebrate Chinese New Year.The main problem they encountered was from internal factor, which is bad human resources management and business process. The other factor was because of the competition of Restaurant Industry in Bandung that keep tightens. On other hand she has a chance to broaden the market reach of her restaurant. Seeing the growth opportunities that available to grow her business, she start to think whether her restaurant able to be developed and how to do it.To start the research, first thing to do was analyzed internal and external factor that influenced Kedai Papa Liem’s performance. The result would be used as the basis for EFAS and IFAS calculation to determine what directional strategy that suitable for corporate level. After that Business Strategy determined through Porter Competitive analysis with cost production and market size as the consideration. Last, TOWS matrix analysis would be conducted to determine functional strategies that used for each division in Kedai Papa Liem.The results were showing that Kedai Papa Liem could develop their business by using Growth Strategy because both result of IFAS and EFAS calculations showing positive number. On other hand, Business Strategy that suitable for Kedai Papa Liem was Integrated Competitive Strategy. This strategy would be used to win the competition among other restaurant so their sales performance will be To support their development plan in expansion, they should have more market share in Bandung’s Restaurant Industry by provide more variant in product, with more affordable price than their competitors.Keyword: Strategic Management, Restaurant.

Abstract

Abstract - Smoking prevalence in Indonesia has been major problem for many decades. Eventhough anti smoking campaign has been implemented, yet the effectiveness is still in question.This study will explore how customers perception toward smoking and anti smoking campaign may exhibit different impact on effectiveness of anti smoking campaign. Anti smoking campaign or also called demarketing of smoking, is conducted in three fronts. Which are, mass media communication, regulatory meassures, and public opinion. Mass media communication via message framing is use to stir customer perception. Regulatory meassures serve as limitation to smoking activity. Public opinion create unfavorable atmosphere to smoking. The main purpose of this study is to examine how the three fronts of demarketing may influence customer perception and intention to avoid smoking. The final project is limited in the scope of data. The data were gathered in Bandung, Indonesia. A survey with judgment sampling was conducted to 178 respondents,  the respodents also limted to 89 smokers and 89 non smokers. In addition, some interview also being made to provide additional explanation of each data analysis. Descriptive analysis, Independent Sample analysis, and Regresion analysis were used to evaluate data and make data analysis. Furthermore, an analysis of current condition of anti smoking campaign in Indonesia were also provided. The result reveal that perception toward smoking from smoker group is more supportive to smoking rather non smoker group; both groups perception toward anti smoking campaing are same, which are its weak; anti smoking advertisement with positive framing have better impact rather than negative ones; and also regulatory meassures need improvement in terms of implementation to reduce smoking prevalence in Indonesia.
