PUCUK REBUNG: Jurnal Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat [ 2798-8287 (online) | 2776-5334 (print) ] is a community service journal published by Jurusan Ilmu Pendidikan Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Riau. Abstract

The Special Region of Yogyakarta requires every district in its territory to have a characteristic batik motif. However, the Umbulharjo District does not yet have the characteristics of a batik motif, so it is necessary to make a written batik motif design that symbolizes the beauty of the Umbulharjo District. It turns out that many people in the sub- district have below-average economic capacity. Therefore this community service is carried out by training in batik writing motifs for the community Umbulharjo sub-district, especially in the Semaki Gede, Semaki area. The PkM team and Ibu Ratu Hemas were entrusted with establishing a place to make batik houses. So that batik activities can be carried out in a comfortable place. This training is expected to produce batik artisans for the Umbulharjo District later.

Abstract

Tanjung Punai, in the western of Bangka Island, has a 1988.74 ha of mangrove forest with dominanceon the type of Sonneratia Alba. Most of the local population works are caught shrimp and crab, buthaving a side business cultivating blood shells on the mud beach around the mangrove. There areconcerns about the conversion of mangrove land for ponds and the increasing area of blood shellfishcultivation. For this reason, it is necessary to strengthen information about mangrove benefits andsilvofishery systems' cultivation. Submission of information and knowledge of silvofishery and theimportance of mangrove protection is made through group discussions or individuals of clampers.Knowledge of the benefits of mangroves for the sustainability of shellfish cultivation and the capture ofshrimp and crabs can be accepted and approved by cultivators. Silvofishery's concept for blood shellfishcultivation if the expansion of the land leads to the mangrove area is also understood.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed many things in an instant. Therefore, a change in cleanand healthy living behavior is needed in the new normal era. In implementing the New Normalphase, where the new normal is not a condition where there is no more Covid-19 virus,socialization is needed in the community to break the chain of spreading the Covid-19 virus.The service is carried out to the community in Laksamana Village, Dumai City District, RiauProvince. The method used is outreach to the community. The purpose of serving the KKNBalek Kampung Kelurahan Laksamana 2022 service to the community as a form of knowledgetransfer about ways to implement behavior change as a preventive effort for Covid-19. Theresults obtained in this service are that the community has the knowledge and ability to apply,motivate, and adapt to family members, and the community is a pioneer in making changes toclean and healthy living behavior in the new normal era.

Abstract

KUKERTA are student service activities to the community. Service activities can be carriedout by distributing knowledge that students have obtained to the community. Sungai Mempurais one of the villages in the Siak Regency. Sungai Mempura has one public elementary school,namely SD Negeri 2 Mempura. SD Negeri 2 Mempura still lacks teaching staff or teachers,one of which is an English teacher. The English language skills of SD Negeri 2 students arepretty worrying. Sungai Mempura is one of the tourist villages that local and foreign touristsoften visit. This underlies the Kukerta team holding grammar-based learning because it is theprimary thing these students need. The method we use is a grammar-based word translationmethod. The results obtained during this activity are that many students still lack Englishlanguage skills, but their interest in learning English is relatively high. This can be seen from the students' enthusiasm during the teaching activities. Thus, it is hoped that this grammar-based teaching activity can improve the abilities and interests of the students of SD 2 Mempura.

Abstract

This community service in the form of Microsoft Office 365 training aims to introduce digitalmedia in the learning process in elementary schools. They learned using page links andvarious media in elementary schools, including sound, images, and videos. Thus learningactivities become more meaningful, and learning resources become multi-content.Participants in this service consist of elementary school teachers in Klaten. Various methodsare used to implement this Microsoft Office 365 training. The methods are demonstration,mentoring, and discussion. Four materials are given in the Microsoft Office 365 training:Form, OneNote, ClassNote, and Sway. The results of this service activity show success inmastering the four materials by the trainees. This can be seen from the high enthusiasm inevery stage of the training implementation.
