<![CDATA[Unit family empowerment (Posdaya) is a locus for developing the welfare of families in increasing their income so that people can improve the quality of life. One of the forms in increasing their income by developing entrepreneurship. The activities of its members through Posdaya supported to detail useful skills and knowledge to develop their entrepreneurial endeavors. The purpose of this research is to recoquize the characteristics of the RW 02 as a member of the Posdaya Bina Sejahtera. In addition, analyses the development of entrepreneurship as well as the competencies contained in the activities Village of Posdaya Bina SejahteraBogor Subdistrict Neighborhoods West Pasir MulyaPasir Mulya. The research was carried out by quantitative and qualitative methods using questionnaires and in-depth interview. This research result indicates in the members of posdaya more women in category, productive the end of the age the majority last finished elementary school education and have a job entrepreneurship. The development of entrepreneurship in Posdaya Bina Sejahtera done with through training and assistance. The training and assistance produce competence the development of entrepreneurship in terms of knowledge and skills in the life of a day.Keywords: Posdaya, entrepreneurship, competence]]>

<![CDATA[Development of coastal tourism can give directly impact on the social and cultural life of fisherman communities and influence the attitudes of fishermen. This study intend to analyze the impact of tourism development on the social structure and cultural values as well as analyzing the attitudes of fishermen towards the tourism development. The research was conducted in Pangandaran village using survey methods. The results showed that the development of tourism impact on the social structure of fishermen namely the growth of social organization, social stratification, migration and composition of the population, as well as the livelihoods and incomes. Whereas the impact on the cultural value of fishermen include namely the waning tradition of local fishermen, fishermen lifestyle changes, and increased knowledge of fishermen. Fishermen status and income level have a real relationship with the attitude of fishermen, whereas age and education level did not have a real relationship with the attitude of fishermen.Keywords: tourism development, impact towards social structure, impact towards cultural values, and fisherman attitudes]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this study was to analyze the role of fishermen in the tourism activities of the business and employment opportunities. This study also examines the relationship between the characteristics of the group members and group elements with the role of fishermen, where the research was conducted on a group cruise boat belonging to the Organization of Boat Cruise Pangandaran (OBCP) Pangandaran Village. On testing the characteristics of group members to the role of fishermen, there was a real relationship. In the test group elements with the role of fishermen, there was a real relationship unless the relationship norms/rules of the group with the group supporting service units were not real relationships. Finally, in testing the role of fishermen and businesses and employment opportunities, there was a real relationship, this was evidenced by the presence of several members of the group who has other business other than as a fisherman or a boat cruise as homestays, restaurants and stalls.Keywords: tourism, fishing groups, businesses or work]]>

<![CDATA[Group dynamics is an important factor in the development offarmers' groups. The aims of this study is to know the differences between of farmer group dynamics which includes highest class with lowest class. The results showed that there was no relationship between class ability of farmer groups with the level of group dynamics. Capability class of farmers group evaluation which undertaken in the village Pulokencana only based on an assessment of the head of farmers group and age of group only.The fact that Banjar Tani group is more dynamic than the Banyu Mukti group, but the class between that two groups very different, Banyu Mukti is Main class while the Banjar Tani is Beginners class. Factors that affect the group dynamics are land area, family size, age of group leader and age of farmer groups, and the reception of members of the group leader. In addition, the eight elements of group dynamics, only two elements that do not affect the group dynamics, namely the element of group objective and group pressure. Meanwhile, the six elements that influence group dynamics, the task function has the strongest influence on the dynamics of farmer groups.Keywords: farmer group, group dynamics]]>

<![CDATA[Posyandu is one of the community participation approach in health sector that is managed by cadres, with the main problem arises is the declining number of visits of mothers of infants and toddlers.The aimed of this research were to analyze the level of job satisfaction of posyandu cadres, and to analyze the factors that influence job satisfaction.Research conducted in Ciherang village with 30 samples that was selected using random sampling. The result showed that most of cadre’s job satisfaction can be categorized high, despite the visit of mother and toddlers tended to decline. It means that the decline was more due to the factor of the target or the mothers themselves, not the factor of posyandu organizers. The higher the incentives received by the cadres and the more participation of cadres in training influenced significantly for the improving of cadre’s job satisfaction. In term of the strategies to increase the job satisfaction, in general, all the items associated with the work of posyandu cadres should be retained or categorized low priority, in other words there is no necessary to increase the job satisfaction posyandu cadres.Keywords : Posyandu, Job Satisfaction, Cadre]]>

<![CDATA[This research aim to analyse the perception on agricultural employment and to analyse job preferences among rural youth unemployed in Cihideung Udik village. This research was conducted using quantitative research approach enhanced with qualitative data. The number of respondents were 40 youth job seekers The research result shows that job seekers internal factors, such as, women have some skills and some job experience as well as external factors such as, low socio economic level, less cosmopolitant, and agricultural employment experiences tend to have negative perceptions on agricultural employment. Rural youth unemployed in this village prefer to work in non agricultural sectors, such as in manufacturing sector in area around Bogor and Jakarta.Keyword: perception, unemployment, rural youth, agricultural employment, non agricultural employment]]>

<![CDATA[The objective of the research is to describe and analyze implementation and rate of adopted artificial insemination (AI) innovation on slaughter cattle’s farmers. Specifically, the objectives are to describe (1) the characteristics of internal and external of slaughter cattle’s farmers, (2) the implementation and the rate of AI’s adoption, and (3) the relationship of internal and external characteristics of slaughter cattle’s farmers and adoption of AI. The research is conducted at Kecamatan Geger Kabupaten Bangkalan and Kecamatan Mantup Kabupaten Lamongan in East Java Province and at Kecamatan Penebel Kabupaten Tabanan in Bali Province. This research is designed as a correlational descreptive survey. The number of sample is 240 respondents and using stratified random sampling method. Data collection is completed using questionnaires, interview and field observation. Structural equation modeling is applied to analyze the relationship and the influence pattern among variables. The average of AI implementation aspects by the farmers is 51.1% and the average of the rate of AI adoption is 2.39 years. The internal and external characteristic of slaughter cattle’s farmer simultaneously are directly and positively influence the implementation of AI and the rate of AI adoption.Keywords: cattle breeding policy, perception, artificial insemination]]>

<![CDATA[This research focuses on community participation in the Program Nasional Pemberdayaan Masyarakat-Mandiri in Kotabatu Rural, District Ciomas, Bogor Regency. This study uses quantitative with survey methods and qualitative methods with in-depth interviews. Respondents in this study amounted to 45 people and are selected by random sampling method. The purposes of this study are 1) to analyze the correlation of internal factors in the community with the level of participation in PNPM-Mandiri, 2) to analyze the correlation of external factors that exist in the community with the level of participation in PNPM-Mandiri, and 3) to analyze the correlation between community participation the level of achievement gained in the community-PNPM Mandiri program. Based on the research results to internal factors that influence is age and external factors that influence is intensity of communication. In this program, people participate less, but people still feel a high level of achievement.Keywords: Participation, internal factors, external factors, and achievement.]]>

<![CDATA[The cultivation of oil palm in the Province of Jambi is growing rapidly, this condition influenced by the farmer's decision to select the commodity in farming. The decision influenced by the thair perceived, knowledge and experience. The technical aspects include time needed incultivation practice and harvesting, and knowledge of pests and diseases. This research aimed to analyze the perception of the palm in technical aspects. This research was conducted in Ladang Peris village, District Bajubang, Batanghari District with 29 respondents from May 26, 2011 until June 26, 2011. Data analysis is based on qualitative methods. The results showed that the perception of farmers on the tecnical aspects of oil palm focused on easy cultivation practice, harvesting once in two weeks period, and less pests and diseases infestation as compared to rubber plant.Keywords: Perception of farmers, technical aspects, palm]]>
