Indonesian Journal of Tourism and Leisure (IJTL) is peer review journal that aims at initiating and stimulating high-impact and innovative research relevant for academics and practitioners within the tourism and leisure to encourage the full range of approaches which are available to the study of tourism an leisure; bring together researchers from different subject backgrounds for interdisciplinary and postdisciplinary debate; develop the theoretical base on which the study of tourism and leisure is built; provide a basis for the development of critical approaches to the study of tourism and leisure; disseminate new approaches, concepts, frameworks, methods, models and practices which may be developed in the study of tourism and leisure; and promote new research. Indonesian Journal of Tourism and Leisure (IJTL) takes both applied and theoretical work that addresses tourism and leisure studies from around of the world at international, national and regional level. The journal takes an interdisciplinary approach including, but not limited to sociology, anthropology, history, geography, psychology, and economics. IJTL encourages research based on a variety of methods, including both qualitative and quantitative approaches. IJTL welcomes contributions for all the subjects from both new and/or experienced researchers and practitioners.

Abstract

High-quality tourism destinations nowadays become the expectations of tourism stakeholders. However, these quality tourism destinations do not have a definition and key performance indicator that can be used as a measurement indicator, so this research is necessary. This study tries to measure the quality of tourism destinations based on the perspective of Bali tourism respondents. In this survey, the attitude of the respondents was measured using a choice of 5 Likert scales that directly asked their attitude towards various indicators on two elements, namely the tourist quality variable and the destination quality measurement variable. The results of a survey of 200 informants illustrate that the respondents' views on all indicators that are considered as indicators of measuring the quality of tourists and indicators of tourism destinations. They can be used as indicators to measure other destinations with adjustments according to their conditions. The novelty in this studies is three factors that have been formed key factors of tourism destination quality. The first is named the quality beautiful destination and unique attraction. The second factor is named quality tourist spending and respect local culture minded. The third factor is named the quality climate and weather condition and infrastructure.

Abstract

The tourism sector must be able to involve the community through space in order to gather, interact and communicate. Krakatau Festival as a medium that involves the participation of individuals and the community can support the development of tourism in Lampung Province. The community engagement in the festival is responsible as citizens of the community including the government, stakeholders, people, communities to take part actively and create strong social interrelation and cohesion. Tourism development through the community as part of sapta pesona is the main focus supported by a variety of cultural activities, destinations, and ultimately creates social cohesion as part of the civilization of citizenship. Qualitative research with ethnographic methods is implemented to get data and information comprehensively from various sources. The results of the study found that the context of the Krakatau Festival activities in real terms has the potential to increase tourism with historical values of Krakatau and can unite the community in a positive social interaction relationship and strengthen the active participation of local community virtue.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the crisis management of PT. Banten West Java Tourism Development's post-tsunami disaster management task force. The theory used was situational of the public, using a qualitative approach with the case study method. The data collection techniques used were non-participant observation, semi-structured interviews and post-disaster documentation. tsunamis. The results of the study explained that the public focused on disasters, so the disaster management task force planned by forming a special communication team and Media Center, then working with Perum Damri Serang and the Central BMKG, as well as installing the Earthquake Early System (EEWS). Communication actions carried out by making Events and reposting Testimonials from Celebrity Endorsments. Planning and communication actions taken, to attract the public as tourists visiting for vacation in Tanjung Lesung without any sense of trauma followed by interesting events. The novelty in this study focuses more on the private sector PT Banten West Java Tourism as the main management of the Tanjung Lesung tourist area

Abstract

Culinary has become its attraction that captivates the hearts of tourists. This is realized by the Bukittinggi City Government which will develop its tourist attraction through the culinary tourism potential of Nasi Kapau. Culinary Tourism started from additional facilities in the distribution of tourist activities but now the position of Nasi Kapau has turned into a tourist attraction that can be side by side with other attractions. To find out the position of Nasi Kapau to be used as a tourist promotion tool of Bukittinggi City, it needs to be started with an analysis of strengths, opportunities, weaknesses, and threats internally and externally, research seeks information by interviews by all Nasi swords that sell in bukittinggi slope market and spread angket to tourists who eat Nasi Kapau in bukittinggi slope market. The data obtained is analyzed descriptively about the marketing mix and the next data from the questionnaire is given weight and entered in the SWOT matrix so that it can answer the appropriate strategy for the promotion of Bukittinggi City through Nasi Kapau culinary tour. The results obtained are strategies that are suitable for the promotion of the city of Bukittinggi through Nasi Kapau Culinary tour is an aggressive strategy. Continuous promotion can also be done by mouth-to-mouth method or make Nasi Kapau as a talking point so as to attract other tourists to visit Bukittinggi out of curiosity about the taste of Nasi Kapau. In addition, Nasi Kapau costomers has been classified as a royal costomers so that it can dream up its review with pleasure.

Abstract

This study discussed mangrove ecotourism based on Sanak Sedagho, namely ecotourism management based on local wisdom. The management of sanak sedagho is novelty finding in the management of mangrove ecosystems. The mangrove ecotourism in Sungai Apit Sub-district is not active, while the Mangrove Sungai Bersejarah (MSB) Ecotourism still survives, it is still visited and as meeting place at the sub-district and district levels. This study is an ethnographic, where the researcher lived for two months in Sungai Ara Permai Village. The data were taken through library studies, internet, observation, participation observation, informal discussion and in-depth interviews. The main informants in this study are the initiators and managers of MSB Ecotourism and other informants who are community members and workers in MSB Ecotourism. This study found that the management of ecotourism based on local wisdom, in this case the sanak sedagho, is the key to the success of MSB Ecotourism being able survived even in the era of the covid 19 pandemic. This study contributes to the field of economic anthropology, especially in ecotourism management.
