Abstract

Tinder is one of the online dating search applications are busy used. Tinder provides a change in the way society finds friends, the process of getting a life partner begins with face-to-face introductions, passing approach stages with partners, exploring stages to get to know each other, then being intimate with dates.  But when Tinder takes the time it takes not long to decide to marry someone new in their life, this is what makes the researcher interested to know how the phenomenon of searching a friend live through online dating application about the meaning of Tinder as a place to get a life partner. The theory used in this research is Computer Mediated Communication (CMC) theory and Social Penetration theory. This research also uses phenomenology method with qualitative approach. The results showed that the informants used Tinder because of the invitation from friends. They have limited time and environment, so they become social media (Tinder) as a solution to get the soul mate.But they still select the match couples in Tinder according to the criteria they are in the real world, for they get married.

Abstract

Social media has an its implications for the democratization of information, because anyonewho owns the account can be a prosumer (producer and consumer) in creating messages,however the low control mechanisms are still causing the content in social media is not onlypositive, but also negative, such as spreading hate speech. Hate speech also coloring thesocial media account of journalists in Banten, especially during the Banten electioncampaign of Governor in 2017. This research is to uncover the meaning of journalist to theproffesion and media they manage in utter hatred speech which they spread throuh facebookin Governor Election of Banten 2017, and it was conducted by qualitative research methodthrough phenomenology research approach. By using Social Construction Theory as aframing of qualitative analysis.

Abstract

Budaya Perusahaan PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk bermaksud untuk memahami pemaknaan simbol-simbol budaya perusahaaan bagi karyawan, khususnya karyawan Corporate Communication & Protocolaire melalui pemaknaan terhadap simbol warna dan pemaknaansimbol gambar serta pemahaman yang diberikan pada simbol verbal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pemaknaan yang diberikan mengenai simbol warna yang terkandung pada budaya perusahaan dan pemaknaan mengenai simbol gambar yang menjadi bagian dari budaya perusahaan serta mengetahui pemaknaan simbol verbal yang berada di budaya perusahaan. pemaknaan yang diberikan karyawan Corporate Communication & Protocolaire mengenai simbol verbal Competence, Integrity, Reliable, dan Innovative (CIRI) bagi karyawan Corporate Communication & Protocolaire memiliki makna mampu dalam berkomunikasi, disiplin dalam penampilan dan waktu, memberikan kejelasan informasi, ramah tamah dan sharing knowledge, sedangkan bagi manager Corporate Communication & Protocolaire dimaknai kepatuhan informasi dan menjadi panutan bagi karyawannya. Selain itu nilai budaya CIRI menjadi pemahaman mereka akan simbol verbal. CIRI memiliki pemaknaan sebagai cara mereka bekerja atau guide of work dalam lingkungan kerja mereka, hal ini dimaksudkan agar perusahaan dapat mencapai tujuan perusahaan sebagai perusahaan baja yang terpadu. Dari simbol verbal CIRI mengarahkan profil budaya perusahaan menggunakan model hirarki dan kekeluargaan.  Kata kunci: Budaya Perusahaan, Simbol, Public Relations, Fenomenologi

Abstract

PT. State Electricity Company in implementing one of its functions to provide facilities public street lighting (PJU) whose benefits are perceived by the public. To provide a facility to the public, in case of discomfort felt by the public, then the PT. PLN (Persero) APJ North Banten will get feed-back negative. As in the case of a blackout PJU Serang are extinguished while the PT. PLN (Persero) APJ North Banten. The role of PR is at the forefront of the company, therefore if there are problems dealing with the public, public direct contact or not with the interests must be attentive to the problems of the company. This study on the Role of Public Relations of PT. PLN (Persero) APJ North Banten in extinguishing street lighting (PJU) Kota Serang. The role of public relations in PT. PLN (Persero) APJ North Banten as a function, communication strategy in order to create understanding through knowledge, and through these activities is expected to emerge changes impacting. The method used in this research is using qualitative research with case study method. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. As a basic analysis of the role of public relations researchers used the concept of Dozier and Glen M. Broom. While the sample used in this research is purposive sampling, the sampling of data by certain 'TOTAL consideration in this study used Through a process of research, the obtained results of his research, namely: that the role of PR PT. PLN (Persero) APJ North Banten as a public relations problem-solving process is defining the problem, solve problems and strategic planning for problem solving

Abstract

PT. Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper mempunyai program tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan atau yang biasa disebut dengan istilah Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) dengan konsep yang terus berkembang, mengingat bahwa masyarakat lokal merupakan bagian sebuah perusahaan terlebih lagi masyarakat lokal yang sedang terjerat dalam perekonomian kurang karena tidak punya pekerjaan yang cukup memadai, modal usaha yang tidak ada dan potensi yang perlu untuk dilatih serta dikembang lagi hal itulah yang dialami oleh masyarakat di Desa Kragilan, oleh karena itu perlu adanya sebuah program pemberdayaan masyarakat yang dalam hal ini PT. Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper melakukan program pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui sebuah kegiatan yaitu pembuatan souvenir dari limbah kertas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus dan menggunakan tiga informan sebagi key informan yaitu Kepala Humas dan CSR, Staff CSR dan Ketua Mitra Kreasi Handycraft serta Masyarakat Desa Kragilan sebagai informan pendukung. Adapun teori yang digunakan adalah Teori Legitimasi. Dalam penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa dalam mengembangkan program CSR tersebut dengan memberikan inovasi-inovasi baru.Kata Kunci: CSR, Pemberdayaan Masyarakat, Public Affairs

Abstract

Kraton Ngiyom is a non-profit organization that focuses on environmental preservation. To overcome the environmental problems in the villages of Sekaralas and Sekarputih, Ngawi, East Java, especially regarding the condition of damage to the forest area and both springs in the village area, Kraton Ngiyom uses communication strategies based on local wisdom by utilizing mythologically oriented instrument and ceremonies as a medium of communication to encourage the public to care and actively contribute in carrying out environmental preservation activities. This study aims to answer the research question of how the Kraton Ngiyom uses myth and rituals as communication strategies for environmental conservation in the villages of Sekaralas and Sekarputih. This study employs an ethnographic study approach. Data collection was carried out using direct observation and in-depth interviews with five informants. The results of this study found that the communication strategies based on local wisdom are well implemented by Kraton Ngiyom through 2 instruments, namely myths and rituals. The myth is used by Kraton Ngiyom to deliver environmental preservation messages to the people of Sekaralas and Sekarputih villages, while the rituals are used by Kraton Ngiyom as instruments to support the delivery of messages, which is to encourage changes in village community behavior. The process of delivering messages through myths, which was maximized in the implementation of a ceremony, succeeded in changing the behavior of Sekaralas and Sekarputih villagers to become more concerned about their environmental conditions and to take initiatives in undertaking environmental conservation efforts.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the signs that represent the millennial generation cross culture in the film My Generation (2017) by Upi Avianto. This film, shows the dynamics of life for generations of millennials in the era of technological development. Unlike teen films in general, this film dares to portray the reality of a teenager's life from the results of two years of director research through social media. So that the film portrays the cross-culture of the millennial generation with what is positive and negative. With Roland Barthes's semiotic analysis method and qualitative descriptive approach and constructivist paradigm. The theory used by researchers is the Representation theory of Stuart Hall. From this research shows the millennial cross culture is represented by various scenes that describe habits and characters that are different from the previous generation. Millennial generation's cross culture is shown in differences in social norms which do not care about politeness values, millennial generation stereotypes, differences in life perspectives that tend to be free or liberal, broader, open and courageous to show differences, and a strong and optimistic mindset.

Abstract

UMKM sector plays an important role in the economy, and one of the forms of entrepreneurship in Cilegon today is the activity of Cilegon Car Free Day. Cilegon Car Free Day is a program established by the City Government of Cilegon by integrating morning sports activities and buying and selling activities that work with Paguyuban Wirausaha Cilegon (Pawon) as a manager under the protection of the Office of Industry, Trade and Cooperatives Cilegon City. The purpose of this study is to know whether the location of the business has an effect on the income of traders Paguyuban Wirausaha Cilegon (Pawon) traders in Cilegon Car Free Day The approach used is quantitative approach with the total population of 400 traders then by using slovin formula, resulting in a sample of 80 respondent. Analysis using linear regression analysis with variable X1 that is business location and variable Y that is merchant's income. The result of this research is business location has effect on the merchant's income of 36,7%

Abstract

The current mass media industry is not the only sovereign of the source of informations. Based on technological advancements, social media exists as a blurring medium for space and time constraints in disseminating and exchanging information, but the minimal control mechanism causes content on social media is not only be positive, but also can be negative such as the spread of hate speech. Hate speech also enlivening journalist's Facebook accounts in Banten, especially during the 2019 Presidential Election campaign which tends to be a "new weapon" of social movements. This research was conducted with qualitative research methods through a phenomenological research approach. By using Social Construction Theory as a frame of qualitative analysis, it was revealed that the journalists who spread hate speech through social media Facebook interpret themselves as agents of change who do not want Indonesia to be led by the wrong leader.

Abstract

Setiap anak berhak mendapatkan pendidikan termasuk anak dengan kebutuhan khusus, seperti autis. Siswa autis murni kesulitan melakukan komunikasi dan interaksi dengan orang lain, mereka cenderung menghindari kontak mata dan menunjukkan perilaku seperti tertawa tanpa sebab karena memiliki khayalannya sendiri, oleh karenanya dibututhkan upaya berkomunikasi yang baik dari guru kepada siswa autis murni. Tujuan penelitian ini mengkaji komunikasi instruksional guru pada siswa autis murni dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran di sekolah khusus pandita. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus dan Informan pada penelitian ini adalah dua orang guru, kepala sekolah dan dua orangtua siswa autis murni. Data diperoleh dengan cara observasi, wawancara mendalam dan studi dokumentasi, kemudian dilakukan triangulasi sumber untuk keabsahan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komunikasi instruksional yang dilakukan guru dengan siswa autis murni diawali dengan melakukan penyesuaian, kemudian terdapat beberapa tahapan dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran yaitu dengan membangun kontak mata, menenangkan siswa, mengalihkan, memberikan instruksi sederhana atau tidak lebih dari 3 kata, ketika siswa autis murni sudah dapat menyesuaikan atau sudah kondusif,maka siswa autis murni dapat mengamati instruksi yang diberikan oleh guru dalam pembelajaran. Siswa autis murni dapat mengingat instruksi dan menirunya seperti yang dicontohkan oleh guru. Selain itu, metode yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran siswa autis murni yaitu metode demonstrasi, metode tanya jawab dan metode Reward and punishment.
