Abstract

Mobile app developers are often overwhelmed when they must create mobile applications, which must create applications for iOS and Android users. The problem is that each one has a different programming language, for iOS users it must be developed with Objective-C or Swift while for Android it is developed with Kotlin or Java programming language. This research was conducted with a tool that in the research process using observation. Observations were made by testing native applications with applications that were already using Progressive Web Apps (PWA) using the PageSpeed Insights tool. Progressive Web Apps (PWA) help optimize websites so that they look like native applications both on computers and on mobile. Application can be accessed offline, provide notifications, and there is no need to download application on the PlayStore or App Store, just through the website. This PWA exists to address these issues. PWA makes things faster and optimizes quality.

Abstract

Democratization is a process of people's participation in the country's political activities, but this process is quite difficult because the public's perception of the government tends to be negative. One way to increase public awareness about government is to use educational games such as "Governman" which teach about the government system through simulation and make players think critically and creatively. The game "Governman" is made using the waterfall method and has gone through all the stages in that method. Research has been conducted to show that this game is effective in encouraging the player's intention to learn about the government system. It is hoped that this game will be an interesting and easy-to-understand way for players to learn about the government system. Research has been conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of this game and the results show that this game has a valid correlation between Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Hedonic Motivation and Behavioral Intention. This shows that this game is effective in encouraging players' intentions to learn and understand the government system

Abstract

The emergence of Covid-19 in 2020 has changed many aspects of life in the world. The Covid-19 pandemic has also affected the economy, education and other sectors such as the social and religious fields. Due to restrictions on attending worship activities, the idea emerged to utilize facilities that were believed to assist worship activities. One of facilities contained in existing technology to assist houses of worship is online. The influence of technology during the pandemic on the social and religious sectors is considered to have great benefits. As an example of the impact that occurred in the Church of St. Theresia of the Bongsari Parish. When mid-July 2020, after the government issued a New Normal policy, the Parish began to open mass activities by offline. The system used at that time included people registering through a collective list from the head of section where parishioners domicile nearby. However, the registration system is still considered ineffective, so the registration system is then developed using the Google Form facility. Although the offline mass registration system has undergone many developments, it still has many shortcomings. Therefore, the responsive web-based offline mass registration application is expected to be able to help the problems experienced by the church during the mass registration flow as well as the development of a dashboard as a means to be able to process data easily and efficiently for church administration officers. Application development is carried out using the ADDIE method, namely Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. In addition, the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method is also used to support the application development process. In this study, a survey with 60 respondents was carried out with the community, and from the test results it can be concluded that the usefulness of the offline mass registration application, as well as device support and the ease and pleasure of using this application have a correlation with the intention to use a website-based offline mass registration application.

Abstract

The lack of education regarding the metaverse mall application for public services has left the public confused when engaging in public service activities within it. To address this issue, a trivia game titled "MPP Quiz" was created with the aim of understanding user responses to the implementation of an educational trivia game packaged with metaverse technology. The chosen research method is the waterfall model because its stages are well-suited for application in this study. The data collection method employed quantitative techniques by distributing questionnaires to respondents who had previously played the MPP Quiz game. After collecting the data, it was processed using the SPSS application to determine the level of validity, reliability, and correlation between the tested variables. Based on the conducted tests, it can be concluded that the MPP quiz game qualifies as an educational medium and introduction to the public service system in Semarang city, as the values of variables tested for validity, reliability, and correlation exceed the set standards.

Abstract

Javanese script is one of the materials taught in Javanese language lessons starting from elementary school to high school starting to be taught Javanese script. However, many students feel that this lesson is very boring and difficult for students because of the atmosphere when learning and teaching methods that only see from books and listen to lighting from teachers. Therefore, research was conducted by developing an Augmented Reality (AR) system, so that later it could add innovation in the method of teaching Javanese script in order to grow interest in students and students in learning[1]. The game created is called "AJAR (Javanese Aksara AR)" in this AR contains images of each basic level script, videos that contain how to write the script correctly, examples of writing the script in a correct sentence and some practice questions that are used to help measure how much the student's ability to learn the script after using this AR.The game development method uses waterfall and this game testing method is qualitative by interviewing several sources to get data on whether this game has been successful and has met the target according to the purpose of this AJAR game. From the results of the interview it can be seen that on average all sources feel satisfied and like the existence of this AJAR game because it can help in learning Javanese script more easily and not get bored quickly.
