Abstract

Mount Galunggung is one of the icons of natural tourism located in Tasikmalaya Regency. The natural beauty that stores various flora and fauna is one of the attractions for people visiting Mount Galunggung. One type of flora found on Mount Galunggung is the edelweiss flower (Anaphalis javanica), which can still be found relatively in the canyon area or the crater rim of Mount Galunggung. Along with the increasing number of tourists visiting Mount Galunggung, A. javanica has been significantly exploited because of the factors taken by tourists. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the morphological characteristics and distribution of edelweiss (A. javanica) in Mount Galunggung, Tasikmalaya Regency. The method used in this research is the descriptive quantitative survey technique. The variables in this study include the morphology and distribution of edelweiss (A. javanica). The study location was in the canyon area of Mount Galunggung, at an altitude of 1,000 – 1,150 meters above sea level. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling with the consideration of locations that are overgrown by edelweiss (A. javanica). The line transect method measuring 2 x 2 m with a transect length of 50 meters was used to obtain distribution data. To obtain morphological data, the key to determining and identifying plant parts was used to van Steenis. The distribution pattern data was processed using the Morisita Index. The results showed that the morphological character of edelweiss in Mount Galunggung refers to the character of Anaphalis javanica, so it is inevitable that the species is Anaphalis javanica. Next, the distribution pattern of A. javanica found in Mount Galunggung is included in the random category, with the Morisita distribution index value of 0.36.

Abstract

Desa Genilangit merupakan salah satu desa dengan potensi wisata alam yang berada di Kecamatan Poncol,  Kabupaten Magetan. Adanya potensi wisata alam ini memancing munculnya berbagai jenis sektor UMKM.  Namun adanya pandemi COVID-19 menimbulkan berbagai dampak negatif, terutama di bidang perekonomian  dan pariwisata. Hampir seluruh pelaku UMKM dan sektor wisata mengalami penurunan pendapatan.  Penurunan ini memberikan dampak yang cukup signifikan karena berlangsung lama. Keadaan ini memaksakan  para UMKM untuk beradaptasi dengan menyesuaikan kondisi pandemi. Salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan  adalah dengan memulai penjualan secara online melalui e- commerce. Namun, pada kenyataannya, banyak  pegiat UMKM yang kurang mengenal penggunaan e-commerce. Sektor wisata pun perlu mulai bangkit karena  orang-orang mulai aktif beraktivitas secara luar jaringan, sehingga diperlukan promosi agar sektor wisata  kembali dikenal. Dengan hal ini, peran mahasiswa sebagai peserta KKN memberikan edukasi dan  pemberdayaan pengembangan UMKM dan sektor wisata yang ada di era digital. Program pemberdayaan  diharapkan dapat berdampak pada penjualan yang efektif, lebih produktif, lebih berkualitas serta produk dan  lokasi wisata dapat lebih dikenal agar bisa bersaing di tingkat nasional maupun internasional, serta menjangkau  pemasaran yang lebih luas sehingga dapat meningkatkan omset penjualan.

Abstract

Exploration to find a new population of Taxus sumatrana in the unexplored Gunung Dempo Protected Forest, South Sumatera was conducted in 2014. T. sumatrana, a protected species of medicinal plant, was looked for by following the hiking trails of Rimo and Kampung IV up to a height of 2.133 m asl. A total of 13 trees of T.  sumatrana were found at an altitude between 1.853 m and 2.133 m asl, with a diameter at breast height ranging from 22 cm to 120 cm. T. sumatrana seedlings or saplings were not found, confirming that these plants regenerate very poorly. Low natural regeneration is caused by a variety of factors, including the scarcity of female trees, a lack of light, an absence of suitable microsites, seed predation, and browser stress. Poor regeneration may cause a seedling establishment to fail, which will have an effect on the T. sumatrana tree demographics. Even though the habitat of T. sumatrana is in proper legal status, namely Mount Dempo Protected Forest, if no intervention is taken, this protected plant species may go extinct locally. T. sumatrana's natural regeneration is complicated. Therefore, it is essential to carry out an intervention to foster the seedling population so that it can continue to become a new regeneration. We must actively intervene, particularly through silvicultural intervention, in order to protect and conserve T. sumatrana.

Abstract

The main objective of science education is to prepare students to synthesize and evaluate scientific explanations. Students still have difficulty using the principles of science in proving scientific claims. This study aims to identify the obstacles faced by prospective science teacher students in preparing scientific explanations for the content of Static Electricity and Applications to Living Things. Descriptive research. Purposive sampling in semester 2 A amounted to 16 students. Learning uses the premise-reasoning-outcome-visual representation strategy to develop scientific explanations. Instruments using a questionnaire include four structured questions about the facts or principles of electricity, explanations of the causes of electrical phenomena in living things, explanations of electrical phenomena, and visual representation of electricity. Data analysis uses percentages based on specific criteria. Most of the students, as much as 57%, can express facts or principles of electricity. Most students, namely 50%, cannot explain electrical phenomena in living things. As many as 57% of students can explain electrical phenomena in everyday life. Almost all students, i.e., 79%, did not experience problems visually representing electrical phenomena. The study results showed that there were still students who had problems preparing scientific explanations. The main obstacle is that students have not been able to relate the explanation of electrical phenomena to living things. The implications of the research are to equip students to integrate science content, namely Physics and Biology.

Abstract

Ketersediaan air ini sangatlah penting untuk setiap makhluk untuk minum, mandi, hingga sanitasi. Akan tetapi, karena kurangnya kepedulian masyarakat terhadap air, banyak air yang mulai tercemar. Salah satu pencemaran yang ada yaitu pencemaran air secara mikrobiologis, yang mengindikasi adanya bakteri patogen dalam air tersebut seperti bakteri Coliform. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis kualitas air tanah dalam parameter biologi di Desa Karakan. Populasi penelitian yang dilakukan adalah sumur di Desa Karakan, Sukoharjo, sedangkan sampel penelitian adalah 3 sumur di Desa Karakan yang didapatkan dengan teknik Area Sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif  kualitatif dengan uji laboratorium. Uji laboratorium dilakukan dengan metode analisis keberadaan bakteri Coliform dilakukan dengan metode MPN (Most Probable Number) dengan tabel formula Thomas. Hasil analisis penelitian didasarkan Keputusan Menteri Kesehatan RI Nomor 907/MENKES/VII/2002 tentang syarat-syarat dan pengawasan kualitas air minum, menyatakan bahwa kualitas air minum yang baik terdapat kandungan Coliform total dan Coliform tinja dalam air yaitu 0. Dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa air sumur di Desa karakan positif mengandung bakteri Coliform dari analisis uji laboratorium menunjukkan hasil dengan terjadinya perubahan warna pada larutan di setiap sampel yang awalnya berwarna kuning bening menjadi keruh dan terbentuknya gelembung udara. Nilai MPN yang didapatkan dari masing-masing sampel berdasarkan formula Thomas adalah >3. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa air sumur di Desa Karakan beresiko jika dikonsumsi sebagai air minum secara langsung.

Abstract

Garbage is a big problem that is difficult to solve in a short time. Waste from community activities is produced every day in large quantities, but public awareness in waste management is still lacking. Therefore, it is necessary to increase public awareness to be able to procsee waste. Good waste management can support the creation of a clean and healthy environment. One of the waste management that can be done by the community and in collaboration with the village government is the management of inorganic waste into ecobricks. Ecobricks is a collection of inorganic waste that is put in bottles and reused as material for building blocks and can be utilized for other functions. The purpose of this community service is to provide socialization and how to manage inorganic waste into ecobricks. This community service activity was carried out with resindents of margosanten Helmlet, Sepanjang Village, Tawangmangu District, Karanganyar Regency. The benefit value of this activity is additional insight on the management of inorganic waste into ecobricks. The implementation method is carried out by socializing and demonstrating and continuing with the stages of making ecobricks until thye become products that are beneficial to the community. At the end of the activity the products produced are shoe racks, small chairs and plant pots. This activity hamlet to produce products from inorganic waste.

Abstract

Indonesian people today have a high awareness of health. One of them by choosing the type of healthy food that is cultivated organically. One type of plant that is widely chosen as processed healthy food is caisim (Brassica juncea L.). In practice, the cultivation of healthy plants uses organic fertilizers. One type of organic fertilizer that is currently widely used is liquid organic fertilizer (LOF). Making LOF can use a variety of basic materials. In this study, the basic ingredients of white rice washing water and coffee grounds were used. Both types of waste are mostly generated from the household environment. However, as far as researchers observe, these two materials have never been used as LOF base materials. Therefore, this study was conducted to determine the effect of using a mixture of white rice washing water and coffee grounds on the number, width and length of caisim leaves, as well as to determine the volume of LOF usage that gave the best growth effect. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 24 experimental units consisting of 4 treatments and 6 replications. The four treatments included P1 as control, P2 treatment with a volume of 100 ml POC, P3 = 150 ml POC, and P4 = 200 ml POC. Data were analyzed using ANOVA and continued with Tukey-Kramer. The results showed that P4 treatment with 200 ml of POC had a significant effect on the number of leaves parameters. However, the significant effect of using POC on the parameters of caisim’s leaf width and length has not been achieved through this study.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, serta perekonomian ibu-ibu warga RW 03 Kelurahan Pasar Kliwon, dalam memanfaatkan bahan alami di lingkungan sekitarnya yaitu antara lain daun, bunga, batang atau bagian tubuh lain yang mengandung pigmen warna dengan media kain tertentu. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui metode penyuluhan, praktek pembuatan ecoprint secara langsung, serta evaluasi kegiatan. Partisipasi dan antusiame ibu-ibu warga RW 03 kelurahan Pasar Kliwon dalam kegiatan sangat baik, kelompok mitra berkontribusi aktif dalam pengadaan keperluan pelatihan ecoprint serta aktif berbagi pengalaman dalam pembuatan tote bag dengan teknik ecoprint. Dampak dari kegiatan pelatihan ecoprint yaitu mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan, keterampilan, serta perekonomian ibu-ibu warga RW 03 kelurahan Pasar Kliwon, dalam memanfaatkan bahan alami di lingkungan sekitarnya menjadi produk yang bernilai ekonomis. Kegiatan pelatihan ecoprint di RW 03 kelurahan Pasar Kliwon sangat bermanfaat dan diharapkan dapat berkelanjutan sebagai peluang usaha sehingga dapat meningkatkan perekonomian warga.

Abstract

One competency needed to face 21st-century challenges is critical thinking. In assessing students' critical thinking skills, a proper instrument is needed. This study was aimed to analyze the instrument and find out the students' critical thinking skills. The aspects of critical thinking have been detailed by Facione. They were interpretation, analysis, inference, evaluation, explanation, and self-regulation. The test of critical thinking skills was used as an instrument. This was a quantitative descriptive study conducted on 36 tenth-grade students in Surakarta and Pacitan. Data were analyzed by using Rasch Model with Winstep Software. The reliability of the item was 0.86, which means the instrument has good reliability. Also, validity tests showed the instrument was valid. The validity of the instrument was assessed based on the criteria by Boone: MNSQ, ZSTD, and  PTMEASUR CORR. All items were valid. The instrument has good reliability. The results showed the students’ critical thinking skills were still low. It is shown from the results of the average logit value of -0.74. The level of difficulty sorted out from the most difficult questions were analysis, evaluation, explanation, self-regulation, interpretation, and inference. Many students cannot give the correct answers to the low difficulty questions as shown by the Wright Map. The results showed that the instrument was valid and reliable and can be used for further research, and there is a need to improve students' critical thinking skills

Abstract

Segorogunung Village is one of the villages in the Ngargoyoso sub-district which is experiencing progress due to the growing potential for agriculture and natural tourism. The large level of land use in Segorogunung Village causes a mismatch of buildings on the new land due to lack of attention to the spatial boundaries that have been determined. The purpose of this research is as a planning reference, in managing land functions rationally in order to create order and = regularity in land use. The research method used is a quantitative method with a Drone Participatory Mapping (DPM) approach supported by qualitative data through literature studies and observations using Landsat 8 satellite imagery downloaded via SAS Planet with magnification 22, orthophoto maps, National Digital Elevation Model (DEMNas) data from imagery. Sentinel 1-A radar, river geometry processed by DEM data in ArcMap, and land use data from BPS literature of Karanganyar Regency, land use map of Karanganyar Regency, map of administrative boundaries of Karanganyar Regency. Recommendations for improving the calculation of the area are carried out by the KKN team with a direct observation in Segorogunung Village. The results showed that there was a difference in the administrative area of Segorogunung Village with the data presented by the Karanganyar BPS, which was 5710.67 Ha for the calculation results and 1737.24 Ha according to the literature. The calculated data is not only centered on the administrative area per RW, but covers the entire village administration area to the outermost areas of the village including forest areas and dry fields.
