Jurnal Kajian Ekonomi dan Pembangunan (JKEP) is a peer-reviewed journal that provides a forum for scientific works pertaining to Development Economics. This journal was first published since June 2019 by the Universitas Negeri Padang.This journal published four times a year and has e-ISSN 2656-0356. JKEP is expected to be used as a reference for academicians in writing a scientific, relevant, and dynamic article to enhance the new generation that is found in writing an academic paper. The Redaction Board accepts only research in the field of legal science that already in the form of a journal article to be considered for publication. The aims of JKEP are to provides immediate open access to its content in the principle of making research freely available to the public as a support for the greater global exchange of knowledge. The language used in this journal is English or Indonesian. Scope of articles published in JKEP is consist of a broad range of topic in the field of development economics, energy economics, environmental economics, international trade, public finance, rural development, regional economics, financial development, monetary economics, industrial economics, Islamic economics, agricultural economics, and labor economics.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the causality between tax revenue, governmentexpenditure and economic growth . This type of study is descriptive and associative. This study uses panel data  from 1970-2019 covering 33 provinces in Indonesia. This study uses the PVAR analysis method and uses Granger Causality Test for causality test with tax revenue, government expenditure and economic growth as independent variables. The results of this study indicate that: (1) There is a one-way causality of the tax revenue  variable on the government expenditure variable; (2) there is a one-way causality from the economic growthvariable to the government expenditure variable; (3) There is no causality between the tax revenue variable and the economic growth variable.

Abstract

This study examines the analysis of the determinants of Indonesia's foreignexchange reserves. The data used in this study is secondary data obtained from the publications of the relevant agencies. This study uses Multiple Linear Regression analysis. The results of the study: (1) The effect of exports on foreign exchange reserves is insignificant and positive (2) The effect of imports on foreign exchange reserves is positive and not significant, (3) The effect of the exchange rate on foreign exchange reserves is significant and positive, (4) The effect of interest rates to foreign exchange reserves is significant and negative, (5) Simultaneously, the effect of exports, imports, exchange rates and interest rates on Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves is significant

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the causality between Indonesia's foreign debt, economic growth and poverty. This type of research is descriptive and associative. This study uses time series data in Indonesia from 1970-2019. This study uses the VAR (VECM) analysis method.with the variabel in this study is foreign debt, economic growht and poverty. The results of this study indicate that: (1) There is a one-way causality of the economic growth variable on the foreign debt variable. (2) there is a one-way causality from the poverty variable to the economic growth variable. (3) There is no causality between the foreign debt variable and the poverty variable.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Effect of Exchange Rate, Production, GDP and Inflation on Sugar Imports in Indonesia, either partially or simultaneously.This type of research is classified as quantitative research. This research was conducted in Indonesia using data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), coumtraden.un.org (United Nations International Trade Statistics Database), the World Bank, and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). The data used are annual data from 1989 to 2020. The data analysis technique uses multiple linear regression with t test and F test. The results showed that (1) the exchange rate had a positive and significant effect on  sugar imports in Indonesia with a regression coefficient of 0.554 and the value of tcount >ttable (2.1697 > 2.052) or significant < significance (0.012 < 0.05). (2) production has a negative and insignificant effect on sugar imports in Indonesia with a regression coefficient of -0.759 and a production tcount > ttable (-1.602 < 2.052) or significant > significance (0.121 > 0.05). (3) GDP has a positive and significant effect on sugar imports in Indonesia with a regression coefficient of 1.293 and tcount GDP > ttable (3.395 > 2.052) or significant <significance (0.002 < 0.05). (4) Inflation has a negative and insignificant effect on sugar imports in Indonesia with a regression coefficient of -0.003 and an inflation tcount > ttable (0.722 < 2.052) or significant > significance (0.476> 0.05). (5) exchange rate, production, GDP and inflation have  positive and significant effect together on sugar imports in Indonesia, the results of the analysis show that the Fcount 40.999 > Ftable 2.73 (0.000 < 0.05).

Abstract

This study examines the impact of economic growth, investment and human development index on the inequality of income distribution in Indonesiafrom 2007-2016. The results of the study using panel data regression showed that: 1) Economic growth has a negative and insignificant effect on the inequality of income distribution in Indonesia with a significant of 0.2926; (2) Investment has a positive and significant effect on the inequality of income distribution in Indonesia with a significant amount of 0.0000; (3) The Human Development Index has a positive and insignificant effect on the inequality of income distribution in Indonesia with a significant amount of 0.2260; Based on the results of the joint test of the effect of the independent variables on the dependent variable, the results obtained that together the variables of economic growth, investment and human development index have a significant effect on the inequality of income distribution in Indonesia by 10%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent of the influence of respondents'income, the existence of online motorcycle taxis and accessibility to people'spreferences for Trans Padang Bus transportation services. The data in this study used a primer that was taken in October 2021. The data a collection technique was by distributing questionnaires and conducting direct observations. The population in this study was all users of Trans Padang Bus transportation services, by taking a sample of 100 respondents. This study uses a multiple regression analysis with the Ordinary Least Square method. For the questions in the questionnaire, a validity and reliability tests were carried out. The results of this study indicate that partially (1) respondents' income has a positive and significant effect on people's preferences for Trans Padang Bus transportation services. (2) the existence of an online motorcycle taxis has a significant and significant effect on people's preferences for Trans Padang Bus transportation services. (3) the trans Padang Bus accessibility has a positive and significant effect on Trans Padang Bus transportation services.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent of the influence of economic growth on criminal acts in Indonesia, the effect of education level on criminal acts in Indonesia, the effect of unemployment rate on criminal acts in Indonesia, theeffect of poverty level on criminal acts in Indonesia, and the influence of economicgrowth, education level, the unemployment rate and the poverty rate togetheragainst criminal acts in Indonesia. This type of research is descriptive andassociative. The data used is secondary data. This study uses panel data, whichuses data from 32 provinces in Indonesia in the period from 2014 to 2019 using the Fixed Effect Model approach. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Economic growth has a positive and insignificant effect on criminal acts in Indonesia; (2) Education level has a negative and significant effect on criminal acts in Indonesia; (3) The unemployment rate has a positive and significant effect on criminal acts in Indonesia; (4) The poverty rate has a negative and insignificant effect on criminal acts in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the response between economicgrowth, internet users, and consumption of electrical energy in Indonesia. This type of research is descriptive and associative,  the data used are secondary panel data from 2016 to 2020. This research was conducted using the Vector Autoregression (VAR) model through the analysis of Impulse Response Funtion (IRF) and Variance Decomposition (VD) to determine the variability response of a particular variable due to the shock of other variables. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Variability of econmic growth is not contributed by internet users in the short term, but in the long term variability of economic growth is contributed by the shock of internet users in Indonesia, (2) Variability internet users is contributed  by economic growth in short and long term,(3) Variability internet users in short term is not contibuted by consumption of electrical energy , but in long term is contrubuted by the consumption of electrical energy  in Indonesia, (4) Variability consumption of electrical energy  in short term and long term is contributed by internet users in Indonesia, (5) Variability consumption of electrical energy  in short term and long term is contributed by economic growth in Indonesia, (6) Variability  econmic growth is contributed by  the  consumption of electrical energy ionlyin the long term.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze how the influence of age, gender, working hours, employment status and education on the income of workers in the city of Padang. The types and sources of data in this study are from the National Labor Force Survey (SAKERNAS  in 2019. In this study, multiple regression analysis was used to see the effect of the independent variables on the dependent variable with the number of samples used as many as 912 workers. The results of this study indicate that age has a positive and significant effect on labor incomein Padang City, gender has a positive and significant effect on labor income in Padang City, working hours have a positive and significant effect on labor income in Padang City, employment status has a positive effect. and significant to the income of workers in the city of Padang, education also affects the income of workers in the city of Padang.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of fluctuations in world oil prices on Indonesian macroeconomic variables. The data used in this study is time series data from 1987 to 2019 taken from the World Bank, the Central Statistics Agency and FRED Economic Data. This study is a quantitative study using secondary data and the VAR/VECM analysis model. The results show that fluctuations in world oil prices are only significant in the long term while in the short term fluctuations in world oil prices have insignificant effects on inflation, economic growth and impacts. This shows that world oil prices have a significant influence on Indonesia's macroeconomic variables in the long run.
