Abstract

This study examines the causal relationship between the Tourism Sector, the Human Development Index and Economic Growth in West Sumatra. The data used in this study are panel data from 2012-2016 in 19 regencies / cities in West Sumatra, with documentation and library study data collection techniques obtained from relevant institutions and agencies. The variables used are the tourism sector, the human development index and economic growth. The research method used is to use the Panel Vector Autoreggression (PVAR) approach method which has several tests that must be carried out, namely: (1) Unit Root Test, (2) Cointegration Test, (3) Determination of Optimal Lag (4) Granger Causality Test ( 5) Impulse Response Fungtion (IRF) (6) Variance Decomposition (VD). The results of the study show that (1) There is unidirectional causality where the Human Development Index affects Tourism. (2) There is no causal relationship between the Tourism and Economic Growth sectors. (3) There is unidirectional causality where the Human Development Index affects Economic Growth. So, in this study there was no causality relationship between the three verifiable, but there was only one-way relationship.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) Causality of road infrastructure and urbanization in Indonesia. (2) Causality of road infrastructure and public welfare in Indonesia. (3) Causality of urbanization and welfare in Indonesia. Type of Data: Secondary data in the form of time series. Sample and research: From 1987-2017. The method used in this research is the Vector Error Correlation Model Method. The results show that: (1) In the short term urbanization and community welfare do not contribute to the variability of road infrastructure in Indonesia. (2) In the long term, urbanization and community welfare each contribute to road infrastructure. (3) In the short term road infrastructure contributes to the variability of urbanization and the welfare of the community does not. (4) In the long run, people's welfare will contribute the most in influencing the variability of urbanization. (5) In the short term as well as in the long term, road infrastructure and urbanization contribute to the variability of the welfare of the people in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the analysis of the determinants of the composite stock price index in Indonesia. The independent variables in this study are inflation as X1, foreign exchange reserves as X2, exchange rates as X3, and economic growth as X4, and the dependent variable of the composite stock price index as Y. The data used are secondary data in the formof time series data from 2010Q1 until 2019Q2, with data collection techniques, namely documentation from Bank Indonesia publications, the Central Statistics Agency, investing. comsite and library research. The research methods used are: (1) Multiple Linear Regression, (2) Classical Assumption Test (3) coefficient of determination. The results of this study indicate that:(1) inflation does not significantly influence the composite stock price index. (2) foreign exchange reserves have a significant positive effect on the composite stock price index. (3) the rupiah exchange rate has an influence on the composite stock price index and (4) economic growth hasno significant effect on the composite stock price index.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of Foreign Investment (PMA), Domestic Investment (PMDN) on Human Resource Quality (HR) and Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) on the Economy in Indonesia, where the quality of human resources is measured using the average length school residents aged 15 years and over. This type of research is descriptive and associative research, namely research that describes the research variable and finds the presence or absence of influence between independent variables and dependent variables. The types of data in this study are secondary data and panel data from 2012-2016 per Province in Indonesia. Data analysis used is descriptive analysis and inductive analysis. In inductive analysis there are several tests, namely: Panel Regression Model, Classical Assumption Test, t Test. The results of this study indicate that (1) Foreign investment (PMA) has a positive and significant effect on the economy in Indonesia, (2) domestic investment (PMDN) has a negative and not significant effect on the economy in Indonesia, (3) the quality of human resources has a positive effect and significant to the economy in Indonesia, (4) the level of labor force participation (TPAK) has a positive and significant effect on the economy in Indonesia. Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze responses between air transportation, tourist visits, exchange rates and employment opportunities in Indonesia. This type of research is descriptive and associative, where the data used are secondary data in the form of time series from 2000 fourth quarter to 2018 fourth quarter. This study uses the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) method through the analysis of block causality test, Impulse Response Function (IRF) and Forecast Error Variance Decomposition (FEVD) to seeing the variability response of an endogenous variable due to the presence of other endogenous variables. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Variability of air transportation is not contributed by the shock of tourist visits, exchange rates and employment opportunities in the short term, but in the long run, variability of air transportation is contributed by shock of tourist visits, exchange rates and employment opportunities. (2) Variability of tourist visits is only influenced by short-term air transportation shock. Whereas air transportation, exchange rates and employment opportunities in the long run contribute to influencing the variability of tourist visits in Indonesia. (3) Exchange rate variability is contributed by air transportation shock, tourist visits and work opportunities in the short and long term. (4) Variability of employment opportunities is contributed by air transportation shock, tourist visits and exchange rates in the short and long term in Indonesia.
