Jurnal Kajian Ekonomi dan Pembangunan (JKEP) is a peer-reviewed journal that provides a forum for scientific works pertaining to Development Economics. This journal was first published since June 2019 by the Universitas Negeri Padang.This journal published four times a year and has e-ISSN 2656-0356. JKEP is expected to be used as a reference for academicians in writing a scientific, relevant, and dynamic article to enhance the new generation that is found in writing an academic paper. The Redaction Board accepts only research in the field of legal science that already in the form of a journal article to be considered for publication. The aims of JKEP are to provides immediate open access to its content in the principle of making research freely available to the public as a support for the greater global exchange of knowledge. The language used in this journal is English or Indonesian. Scope of articles published in JKEP is consist of a broad range of topic in the field of development economics, energy economics, environmental economics, international trade, public finance, rural development, regional economics, financial development, monetary economics, industrial economics, Islamic economics, agricultural economics, and labor economics.

This study aims to determine the effect of energy consumption and regime on economic growth in Indonesia. The data used is secondary data in the form of time series data from 1988-2017, with documentation and library study data collection techniques obtained from relevant institutions and agencies. the variables used are economic growth (GDP), non-renewable energy consumption, renewable energy consumption and regime, the research methods used are: (1) Multiple Regression Analysis (OLS), (2) Classical Assumption Test results of research stating that: ( 1) non-renewable energy consumption has a positive effect on economic growth in Indonesia. (2) consumption of renewable energy has a positive effect on economic growth in Indonesia. (3) the energy regime has a negative effect on economic growth in Indonesia. (4) non-renewable energy consumption, renewable energy consumption and energy regime have a significant effect on economic growth in Indonesia. so only the energy regime has a negative effect on economic growth in Indonesia.

This study examines the causal relationship beetwen CO2 emissions, energy consumption, economic growth, and human capital within a panel vector error corellations model (PVECM) for 8-ASEAN countries over the period 2005-2014. The results of this study indicate that the CO2 emissions and the energy consumption has causality relationship, the energy consumption and the economics growtht has a causality relationship, the CO2 emissions and the economic growth has causality relationship, the economic growth and human capital has a on-way relationship that is economic growth which affects the human capital, human capital and the CO2 emissions does not have a causality relationship, and the energy consumption and the human capital also has no causality.

This study explains the analysis electicity consumption on welfare district/cities in West Sumatra with mediation variable education and health. The method used is to a mediation regression model. This data uses a combination of panel data from 2013 - 2017, which consists of 19 city/districts. Data obtained from BPS annual report. The results of this study show that (1) Electricity consumption has a significant effect on welfare in West Sumatra (2) Electricity Consumption has a significant effect on education in West Sumatera. (3) Electricity Consumption has a significant effect on health in West Sumatera. (4) Education and health are able to mediate electricity consumption towards welfare in West Sumatra.

This study aims to determine whether there is an influence bettwen PAD, DAU, DBH, DAK on Regional Expenditure in the District/City of West Sumatra. This study also analyzed whether there was a flypaper effect in West Sumatra an how the condition of reginal financial capabilities in teh District/City of West Sumatra. The data used are secondary data in the form of panels with a period of time from 2015 to 2017, with the technique of collectting documentation data and libarary studies obtained from relevant intitusions and agencies. The variabels used are Reginal Expenditures, PAD, DAU, DBH, and DAK. The research method used is the Panel Regression Model and the Quadrant Mwthod. The results show that: (1) there is a positive and significant relationship between PAD and Regional Expenditure (2) there is a posotive and significant relationship between DAU and Regional Expenditure (3) there is a negative and insignificant relationship between DBH and Regional Expenditure (4) there is a positive and significant relationship between DAK of Regional Expenditure (5) inicated a flypaper effect in West Sumatra (6) from 19 District/City in west sumatra, only 5 regions occupying qudran I, 4 regions occupying qudran II, one occupying qudran III and 9 regions occupy qudran IV.

Abstract : This study examined and analysis the effect of remittances, foreigndirect investment, imports, and economic growth in Indonesia in the long run andshort run. This study using Error Correction Model (ECM) method and using theannual time series data from 1989 to 2018. This study found that: (1) remittancehave an insignificant positive effect on economic growth in the long run and shortrun,(2)foreign direct investment have a significant positive impact on economicgrowth in the long run and short run, (3) import have an insignificant positiveimpact on economic growth both in the long run and short run. To increase theeconomic growth in the future, this study suggests the government to decresingimports of consume goods and increasing the inflow of capital goods, rawmaterial goods, remittances and foreign direct investment.Keyword : Remittance, Foreign Direct Investment, Import, Economic Growth andECM

This study aims to analyze the effect of money supply M2, interest rate, government spending and local tax on the inflation in West Sumatera. This type of research is descriptive research and secondary datain the form of time-series from quartely 1 2007 to 2017 quartely 4 using the method of Autoregresive Distributed Lag analysis. The results of this study indicate that money supply in the long run have a significant and positive effect on inflation West Sumatera. In the short run and long run the interest rate has a significant and positive effect on inflation in West Sumatera. Government spending in the Long run has a significant and negative effect on inflation in West Sumatera. Based on the result of this study can be concluded that there is inflation in West Sumatera is monetery of phenomenon in the long run.

This study aims to determine how the influence of financial development on economic growth in Indonesia. Financial development indicators are M2 money supply, bank assets, private credit and trade openness. Where inflation and trade openness as a control variable and economic growth as the dependent variable. The data used in this study are secondary data from 2005 quarter 1 to 2018 quarter 4 which were collected through documentation and related agencies. This study uses multiple linear regression analysis and error correction models. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the money supply M2 has a negative effect on economic growth in Indonesia; (2) Bank assets have a negative effect on economic growth in Indonesia; (3) Private credit has a positive effect on economic growth in Indonesia; (4)) trade openness has a positive effect on economic growth in Indonesia.

This research aims toαexamined theαeffectαof foreign investment, education and information-communication technologhy on labor force participation rate in Indonesia with the selected model is the fixed effect model (FEM). Theαdata αused isαpanelαdataαduringαtheαperiod 2013-2017, with tewchnique of collecting documentation data and library studies obtained fromm relevant institution and agencies.The variables use are labor force participation rate, foreign invesment, education and information-communication technologhy . the research method used is Ordinary Least Square (OLS). The estimation result show that, foreign investment have a positive and its significant effect on labor force participation rate in Indonesia. Education have a neegative and significannt effect on labor forcce participation rate in Indonesia. Information- communication technologhy have a negative and its significant effect on labor force participation rate in Indonesia. Meanwhile simultaneously foreign invesmnet, education and information-communication technologhy affect the labor force participation rate in Indonesia.

Abstract: This research aims to examined the effect of industry of wage, education and forigninvestment on the agricultural sector labor industry in Indonesia with the selected model is the RandonEffect Model (REM ). This study aims to analyze the effect of 1) gender equality in the field of education 2) gender equality in the health sector 3) gender equality in the field of per capita expenditure. This study uses Indonesian Susenas Statistics data from 2012-2017. The analysis technique used is OLS by using the fixed effect model. The estimation results show that 1) gender equality in education has a positive and significant effect on economic growth in West Sumatra 2) gender equality in the health sector has a negative and significant effect on economic growth in West Sumatra 3) gender equality in the per capita expenditure area has a negative effect and significant to economic growth in West Sumatra. Meanwhile simultaneously the variables of education, health and per capita expenditure have a significant effect on economic growth in West Sumatra.
