Abstract

Nowadays, hair care is one of the appearance factors which must be kept by the men. This is proven by the large number of people opening salon businesses specifically for men or it could be called barbershops. So far, if we want to get a haircut or go to a barbershop, we always come to the barbershop location and have to queue. From these problems the idea has been arrived to build an Android-based barbershop startup application. By building an Android-based barbershop application, it is hoped that it will be a solution to this problem so that users can book or order a barbershop online without coming to Barbershop and waiting in line. This research aims to design a barbershop startup application that is capable of providing interaction between users and barbershop entrepreneurs so that users do not have to come and queue at the barbershop. The barbershop startup application was built using the lean startup method by focusing on fast prototype creation. This application system used Android Studio software. By building this application, users can save time without coming directly to the barbershop, just order online, and barbershop entrepreneurs can improve the quality of service and income.

Abstract

A web-based air temperature and humidity monitoring system is a proactive strategy to prevent material damage in the component manufacturing process. Critical temperature and humidity conditions affect the integrity and quality of semiconductor components, both from physical and functional aspects. Controlling air conditions is essential for optimizing components on the control panel. With the machine operating at maximum capacity or under heavy load, this system utilizes a DHT11 sensor and Nodemcu v.3 microcontroller equipped with an esp8266 wifi module to send data to the server via the internet. Through temperature monitoring and control devices, information can be accessed and monitored from other devices. All measurement data is stored in a database for analysis of air conditions in the panel control area. This analysis information is useful for maintenance and improvement of the cooling system in the control panel room.

Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) has become an integral part of various sectors in Indonesia, making a significant contribution to increasing efficiency, productivity and innovation. However, this rapid development has also given rise to various legal challenges, especially regarding criminal liability for the use of AI. This research aims to analyze the legal framework that applies in Indonesia regarding policies and criminal liability for the use of artificial intelligence. This research uses normative legal research methods through a statutory approach. The research results show that the concept of criminal liability that applies to individuals is not fully applicable to artificial intelligence (AI). As an electronic system, AI does not have the ability to understand the consequences of its actions, recognize violations of societal norms, or determine its will independently. In the Indonesian legal framework, criminal responsibility is placed more heavily on humans who create and control AI, indicating the need for clearer legal regulations to address ethical and legal issues that arise as AI technology develops.

Abstract

This research explores the profound transformation of the agricultural sector through the application of advanced technologies, pursuing efficiency and sustainability. The first phase, Data Collection, focuses on identifying data needs for farm management through field surveys and the integration of agricultural sensors. Technologies such as mobile apps and the Internet of Things (IoT) help to efficiently collect high-quality data on soil, weather, and other agricultural factors. The second phase, Application Development, introduces technology integration with Extreme Programming (XP) methods, resulting in adaptive and efficient applications. XP's collaborative and responsive process ensures the successful implementation of the app through thorough functional tests before the official launch. The final phase, User Acceptance Analysis, evaluates user acceptance variables with the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), highlighting perceived usefulness as a critical factor in users' intention to adopt the application. Implications of the findings include suggestions for app updates focusing on optimizing the user interface to improve perceived usefulness. In discussion, this research blends aspects of technology and farm management, providing an in-depth look at the potential for continuous innovation in improving agricultural productivity. Overall, this research reflects valuable contributions regarding current technological solutions to optimize farm management in the modern era, paving the way for continuous improvements in efficiency and responsiveness to changes in the agricultural cycle

Abstract

The rapid growth of financial technology, especially cryptocurrencies, raises challenges and legal questions regarding their acceptance and use in economic transactions. This research aims to examine the legal aspects related to the use of cryptocurrency as a means of payment in Indonesia. This research uses a normative legal approach to laws and regulations relating to cryptocurrencies in Indonesia. The research results show that the use of cryptocurrency, especially Bitcoin, as a means of payment in Indonesia has not been officially recognized. Although regulations such as Bappebti Regulation 7/2020 allow trading of crypto assets on the physical market, cryptocurrency is not considered a legal currency for payment transactions within the country. There are administrative sanctions for Payment Service Providers who violate this provision, and individuals who do not use Rupiah in payment transactions may be punished. Research recommendations include the need for clearer regulations to regulate the legal status of cryptocurrencies, including supervision, taxation and implementation of blockchain in Indonesia. In conclusion, legal recognition and stricter regulations are needed to accommodate the development of cryptocurrencies by considering national economic and financial policies.

Abstract

Transportation movements in urban areas often compete for road space with other users. Inappropriate selection of transportation routes between origin and destination pairs for goods travel results in increased transportation costs. The main goal for transport operators and road users, other than transport, is to minimize travel costs. This research aims to investigate road sections that can be used for transportation at minimum costs for all origin-destination pairs of goods involved in the road transportation network system to form an optimum transportation network design. The optimization objective is to maximize the difference in total transportation costs of the transportation network system between existing conditions and conditions after optimization. A mathematical model is used to represent road user traffic behavior. The optimization process consists of two stages of activity, referred to as bi-level programming: the lower level and the upper level. The lower level provides information about road user behavior on the road section, as demonstrated in the traffic loading process. The user equilibrium traffic loading with diagonalization is used as the solution technique. The upper level employs the GA-I solution technique, which is a genetic algorithm with additional operators. The research presents a method for optimizing urban transportation networks using GA-I. The method is significantly robust and provides an optimum solution in a short time on a hypothetical network.

Abstract

This research aims to optimize vendor management in construction companies through application development using the Extreme Programming (XP) method. The main problems identified were the need for management's lack of efficiency and responsiveness to more change in a dynamic construction environment. The XP method was adopted as a software development approach responsive to change and promotes team collaboration. Data was collected through stakeholder interviews and a literature review to understand user needs and vendor management best practices. The application was developed and tested using predefined criteria. The user acceptance analysis results showed that the application's training session successfully provided an in-depth understanding to 40 users, with 85% of respondents expressing satisfaction with the user interface. Initial usage monitoring showed a high adoption rate, with over 80% of users utilizing key features such as vendor performance monitoring and purchase management. User satisfaction surveys confirmed that 90% of users said the application significantly improved vendor management efficiency.
