Abstract

The 3D animated film “Bully” is designed as an educational medium to raise awareness of elementary school students about bullying, a serious problem in educational institutions that negatively affects both the victim and the learning environment. Through interesting animations and relevant stories, this movie conveys educational messages for children. The manufacturing process uses the Research and Development (R&D) method which includes problem identification, concept development, production, feasibility testing, and distribution. A survey at SDN 139 Palembang showed that many students experienced bullying, both verbal and physical, with the psychological impact felt the most. This movie aims to foster empathy, provide solutions to prevent bullying, and contribute to the creative industry. The animation is expected to be an effective medium in delivering moral and educational messages that are easy for children to understand.

Abstract

Islam emphasizes the importance of maintaining the sanctity of the relationship between men and women before marriage and avoiding behavior that can have negative impacts on individuals and society. The purpose of this study was to determine the design of a hybrid animated film about dating from an Islamic perspective. The design method used descriptive qualitative. The results of the hybrid animated film design about dating from an Islamic perspective combine 2D and 3D animation elements to convey a message about a healthy relationship and in accordance with Islamic values.

Abstract

This study aims to design a grunge typography book based on David Carson's work aimed at young graphic designers as a guide to understanding and implementing innovative and experimental grunge typography styles. The research method uses a qualitative type with a Research and Development (R&D) approach, which includes pre-production, production, and post-production stages. This book is designed by utilizing a distinctive color scheme, unique typography choices, and a small landscape format to optimize the visual appearance. The creative process involves the use of applications such as Procreate and professional design software such as Adobe Photoshop and InDesign. Promotion is carried out through digital media, such as Instagram and Tokopedia, as well as print media, including posters and stickers. The results of this study produce a book that not only reflects the aesthetics of the grunge style but also serves as a reference for young graphic designers to develop creative, bold, and unique works.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the physical and psychological development of children interpreted through children's drawings. The research method uses research and development with a descriptive approach. The design technique uses 3D Vista while data collection is done by observation and interviews. The design results educate parents about child development through visual representation in a virtual exhibition that can be accessed online and form a dynamic platform in child education and parental involvement.

Abstract

This research aims to redesign the Mas Joko Pedagang Oto logo and standardize its application through application media. The research method uses research and development with a descriptive approach. The design technique uses Designing Brand Identity while data collection is done by observation and interviews. The results of the redesign of "Mas Joko Pedagang Oto" have a visual identity that is more appropriate to the brand's vision and mission and specific scope and meaning according to the needs and objectives of the Mas Joko Pedagang Oto brand.

Abstract

The Indonesian tourism sector faces challenges in improving sustainability and competitiveness. One emerging approach is wellness tourism, which emphasizes the health and well-being of tourists. Poncokusumo Tourism Village in Malang Regency serves as an example, with the attraction of Pondok Ashitameru, which offers forest bathing, meditation, and trekking activities. This study aims to formulate a development strategy for Poncokusumo Tourism Village as a wellness tourism destination. The method used is descriptive qualitative through observation, interviews, questionnaires with 64 respondents, and a SWOT analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The results show that Poncokusumo Tourism Village is positioned in quadrant I (Strength–Opportunity) or a rapid growth strategy. The formulated strategies include diversification of wellness tourism products, strengthening policies through partnerships, developing infrastructure and health services, increasing human resource capacity, innovation and multi-stakeholder collaboration, and digital promotion. This study recommends the preparation of sustainability-based planning documents, active support from local governments, and synergy between the government, the private sector, and the local community so that Poncokusumo Tourism Village can become a leading wellness tourism destination in East Java.

Abstract

Educational management research in Indonesia tends to focus on technical and empirical aspects, while the philosophical dimension is often marginalized. This article aims to analyze the integration of ontological, epistemological, and axiological foundations in educational management practices through case studies of educational institutions in Indonesia. Using a qualitative approach based on document analysis and reflection on managerial practices, this article shows that the success of educational management is determined not only by procedural effectiveness, but also by a clear view of the nature of education (ontology), how to acquire and validate managerial knowledge (epistemology), and the values ​​and goals that underlie decision-making (axiology). These conceptual findings emphasize the importance of integrating the philosophy of science as a foundation for developing contextual and sustainable educational management research and practice in Indonesia

Abstract

Sambo is one of the martial arts sports that has been developing in Indonesia, including in the city of Medan. In the process of athlete development, analytical methods are needed to assist coaches and sports organizations in predicting athlete success more objectively and based on data. This study aims to apply data mining techniques to predict the success of Sambo athletes in Medan using the Naïve Bayes method. This method was chosen because it has good classification capabilities and can process data with a relatively simple and efficient computational process. The data used in this study were obtained from training results and athlete performance records, including several variables such as age, training duration, training intensity, physical condition, technical skills, and competition achievement history. The research process begins with data collection, data preprocessing, model development using the Naïve Bayes algorithm, and evaluation of prediction results. The resulting classification model is then used to determine the success category of athletes, such as having high potential for success or lower potential. The results of the study indicate that the application of the Naïve Bayes method is able to provide predictions of Sambo athletes' success with a fairly good level of accuracy. This system can assist coaches and sports administrators in the selection and development process of athletes in a more effective and targeted manner. Therefore, the implementation of data mining using the Naïve Bayes method can be an alternative solution to support decision-making in the development of Sambo athletes in Medan.

Abstract

The chemical mixing process in the pulp and paper industry requires a high level of accuracy, consistency, and speed to ensure product quality and operational efficiency. PT Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper (PT RAPP), as one of the largest manufacturing companies in Indonesia, faces challenges in maintaining stable and real-time mixing processes, particularly in manual control systems that are prone to operator errors, delayed responses, and limited monitoring capabilities. This study aims to analyze the implementation of a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)-based automatic control system integrated with the Internet of Things (IoT) as a solution to optimize the chemical mixing process. The research methodology includes the design of the control system architecture, PLC programming for regulating chemical levels, temperature, and material proportions, as well as the development of a web-based IoT dashboard for remote monitoring. The results indicate that the PLC-based automatic control system improves mixing precision by 18%, reduces processing time by 25%, and significantly decreases the risk of human error. IoT integration enables real-time monitoring, automated data logging, and early detection of process disturbances. Overall, the implementation of PLC and IoT has proven effective in enhancing operational efficiency, quality stability, and process reliability in the chemical mixing process at PT RAPP. This study recommends further development through predictive maintenance and the integration of analytical sensors to achieve end-to-end process automation.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of portable electronic device technology, particularly laptops, necessitates a charging solution that is faster, more efficient, and compatible with diverse standards. The USB-C Power Delivery (USB-C PD) protocol has emerged as a universal charging standard due to its ability to support flexible voltage and current configurations. Nevertheless, the overall charging efficiency remains constrained by dynamic load behaviour, fluctuations in power sources, and the limitations of conventional power management techniques. This paper described the integration of a Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithm into a USB-C PD-based fast-charging system for laptops, aiming to enhance energy transfer efficiency between the power source and the device. The research methodology involves the design and simulation of a power management system incorporating MPPT, hardware prototyping, and performance evaluation based on efficiency, charging duration, and voltage stability metrics. Experimental results indicate that the implementation of the MPPT algorithm significantly improves charging efficiency, minimizes energy losses, and reduces charging time compared to conventional charging methods. The proposed approach not only contributes to the advancement of USB-C PD-based fast-charge technologies but also lays a foundation for future developments in intelligent, energy-efficient power management systems. These findings have broad potential applications in next-generation electronic devices that demand fast, adaptive, and sustainable charging solutions.
