Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the performance of satellite reanalysis data from NASA POWER and Copernicus ERA5. BMKG data was used as a reference to compare the accuracy of satellite reanalysis data. Data was specifically collected from Lampung Province for the years 2022 to 2024. The data compared includes temperature, humidity, wind speed, and rainfall. The temperature data from ERA5 provided consistent and accurate results with a MAE of 1.82 and an r of 0.59. POWER showed commendable performance in capturing relative humidity with a MAE of 5.05% and an r of 0.33. For the wind speed variable, both models showed underestimation for Copernicus and overestimation for NASA POWER. For rainfall (RR), both models failed to predict extreme weather. NASA POWER showed an MAE of 8.59 mm/day and Copernicus showed a value of 7.68 mm/day for the rainfall variable. Future research can focus on bias correction results and machine learning to overcome the challenges faced by satellite data in predicting rainfall.

Abstract

Raw material stock management is an important aspect in the smooth operation of the Food and Beverage (F&B) business. Coffee Shop Ulon, which operates in the coffee beverage sector, still records stock manually, which often causes problems such as the accumulation of materials with a short shelf life or stock shortages that impact service. To overcome this, an information system is needed that is able to manage inventory more efficiently, accurately, and integrated. This study aims to build a Web-Based Raw Material Stock Management Information System Using the Just In Time (JIT) Method with the PHP (Laravel) programming language and MySQL as a database. The implementation of the JIT method is expected to help Coffee Shop Ulon ensure the availability of raw materials according to needs, reduce waste due to expired materials, and prevent stock shortages. The results of this study are a web-based information system with features for recording incoming and outgoing raw materials, expiration reports (waste), minimum stock reminders, and recording supplies from suppliers. With this system, stock management at Coffee Shop Ulon becomes more organized, efficient, and supports fast and accurate decision making.

Abstract

Plate heat exchangers (PHEs) are widely utilized in industrial thermal management systems due to their compact design and high thermal efficiency. The optimization of chevron angle geometry plays a crucial role in enhancing heat transfer performance while managing pressure drop constraints. This comprehensive study presents an experimental and numerical investigation of PHE performance characteristics with modified chevron angle configurations ranging from 30° to 75°. Experimental procedures utilized water-to-water heat transfer systems with temperature measurement accuracy of ±0.1°C and pressure differential transducers calibrated to ±0.25%. Reynolds numbers were varied between 500 and 2500 to capture both laminar and turbulent flow regimes. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations employing ANSYS Fluent with realizable k-ε turbulence models were conducted with mesh element densities exceeding 14.8 million elements to ensure grid independence. Results demonstrate that the overall heat transfer coefficient increases by approximately 21% when chevron angle increases from 60° to 120°, while friction factors exhibit non-linear variation patterns across different Reynolds number ranges. The Nusselt number correlations developed from experimental data show strong correlation coefficients (R² > 0.95) with published empirical models. Pressure drop analysis reveals that lower chevron angles (30°) impose 2.5 times greater pressure drop penalties compared to higher angles (60°-75°) at equivalent Reynolds numbers. Modified geometry configurations demonstrated thermal enhancement factors ranging from 1.15 to 1.68 depending on operational parameters. These findings establish a scientific foundation for optimal plate heat exchanger design in applications requiring balanced thermal performance and hydraulic efficiency, with significant implications for energy conservation in industrial heat recovery systems.

Abstract

The rapid growth of generative artificial intelligence applications, particularly ChatGPT, has resulted in a significant increase in user reviews on the Google Play Store. These reviews serve as valuable sources for understanding user perceptions, experiences, and concerns. This study aims to analyze sentiment in Indonesian-language reviews of the ChatGPT application using the Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers (BERT) algorithm combined with the Knowledge Discovery in Database (KDD) methodology. The dataset was collected using web scraping via the google-play-scraper library, producing 1,806 reviews after data cleaning and preprocessing. The dataset was divided into training and testing sets with an 80:20 ratio. IndoBERT was employed as the pre-trained model. Evaluation results show that the model successfully classified positive, negative, and neutral sentiments with an accuracy of 93%, precision of 87%, recall of 83%, and an F1-score of 85%. Although performance on the neutral class was lower due to dataset imbalance, the model demonstrated strong overall results. This study confirms that BERT is effective for sentiment analysis of application reviews and can serve as a reference for improving application service quality by understanding user opinions.
