Abstract

This study examines the in-depth experiences of long-term remote workers as they navigate physical and psychosocial challenges within their domestic environments. By integrating a Macroergonomics perspective and Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA), it addresses the gap in reductionist literature that separates physical pain from mental stress. We frame home ergonomics as a complex ecosystem involving space negotiation and "ergonomic improvisation." Methodologically, this qualitative study uses an IPA design with purposive sampling of knowledge-based workers who have: 1) at least two years of full remote experience, and 2) high work intensity on Visual Display Terminals (VDTs). Data from semi-structured interviews were analyzed using thematic analysis. The research identified four superordinate themes: 1) domestic workstation improvisation, where using multifunctional areas like sofas creates an ergonomic mismatch; 2) physiological impact, characterized by high rates of Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) due to sedentary behavior; 3) psychosocial dynamics, where social isolation and telepressure erode mental well-being; and 4) blurring of work-life boundaries, where working in bedrooms or across asynchronous time zones disrupts recovery. It is concluded that conventional ergonomic interventions are inadequate. Instead, a holistic Macroergonomics approach is needed, integrating: 1) workflow redesign, 2) boundary management training, and 3) structured virtual social support to ensure the sustainability and well-being of remote workers.

Abstract

In the current digital era, the importance of effective archive management is increasingly evident for ensuring administrative efficiency, data security, and quality public services. This study aims to design a web-based archive information system for the Ta Village Office, Tanete Riattang District, Bone Regency. The Waterfall model was applied, covering needs analysis, system design, coding with PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL, as well as black-box testing. The system, involving the secretary and village head as users, successfully manages incoming and outgoing letters and certificates more quickly and accurately. Key features include digital archive management, quick search, activity history, and data export. Testing and user feedback confirmed that the system accelerates services, reduces the risk of data loss, and supports real-time access. Thus, the system offers an innovative solution to improve transparency, accountability, and service quality in village administration.

Abstract

Increasing public awareness of environmental issues has affected consumer preferences, especially in choosing sustainable products. In the culinary MSME sector in Makassar, the adoption of eco-friendly products such as eco-friendly packaging and natural ingredients is still limited due to a lack of awareness, promotion, and higher cost perception. This gap highlights the importance of investigating how the attributes of eco-friendly products affect consumer purchase intent. This study aims to analyze consumer perception of green products in culinary MSMEs in the city of Makassar, consumer purchase intention of green products in culinary MSMEs in the city of Makassar, and the role of green products on consumer purchase intention in culinary MSMEs in Makassar. This study uses a quantitative approach applied with a descriptive and associative approach. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews with 100 respondents selected by purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using SPSS 30, including validity and reliability tests, normality tests, simple linear regression, t-tests, and determination coefficients. The findings show that consumer perception of environmentally friendly products is relatively high, especially related to raw materials and production processes. Consumers' purchase intentions for environmentally friendly culinary products are also included in the high category. Furthermore, regression analysis confirms that eco-friendly products significantly affect purchase intent. These results show that the implementation of environmentally friendly product practices can strengthen consumer loyalty and support the sustainability of MSMEs in the culinary sector.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of Environmental Awareness (EA) on Perceived Price Premium (PPP) toward environmentally friendly packaging of Pop Mie among young Indonesian consumers aged 17–23. While green product attributes are often associated with consumers’ willingness to pay higher prices, this study investigates whether greater environmental awareness leads to stronger acceptance of price premiums in a low-cost fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) category. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 100 students of Politeknik Negeri Ujung Pandang who had consumed Pop Mie. Respondents were selected through accidental sampling. Simple linear regression was employed to test the relationship between EA and PPP, supported by normality, heteroskedasticity, and linearity tests. The results indicate a statistically significant negative relationship between EA and PPP (β = –0.248, p = 0.042), suggesting that consumers with higher environmental awareness are less likely to perceive premium pricing as justified. This finding implies that pro-environmental attitudes do not necessarily translate into greater willingness to pay, particularly when sustainability claims are not supported by clear benefits or value. The model explains only 4.2% of the variance in PPP (R² = 0.042), indicating that other factors, such as brand image, perceived quality, and functional value, may have a stronger influence on price perceptions. These findings challenge the assumption that environmental concern consistently increases acceptance of green price premiums. The study contributes to the green consumer behavior literature by highlighting the importance of economic considerations in emerging markets and provides practical insights for marketers seeking to balance sustainability initiatives with consumer affordability expectations.
