Abstract

Objective of this research is to determine  the effect of granting questions HOTS in the problem based learning to learning outcomes of 11th grade students in SMAN 2 Padang. Type of this research is quasi-experiment with Randomized Control Group Only Design. Population of this research is all of 11th grade students in SMAN 2 Padang in academic year 2013/2104. Sample of this research is 11th grade science 1  as the experimental class and 11th grade science 3 as the control class with the sampling technique is porposive sampling. Data of this research was data of learning outcomes.The data was analyzed by the mean equality test. Based on analyzis of data, we can conclude that there was granting questions HOTS in the problem based learning give significance effect to learning outcome of 11th grade students in SMAN 2 Padang for cognitive domains at significance level 5%, but there was no significance effect for affective domains at significance level 5%

Abstract

This research is motivated by Physics learning is still centered on the teacher, and the limited teaching materials that can be used by students. To complement the shortage of teaching materials should be developed which is able to provide hands-on experience for students. The purpose of this research is to produce a Physics handouts with comic form based on Problem Based Learning models and to determine the validity, practicality and effectiveness of this product. The type of this research is Research and Development (R & D). Based on data analysis we can concluded; first, a description of the product consists of a cover design, identity handouts, character recognition, and a description of the material, second, the validity of the handout 82,6, third, practicality according to the teacher 9.25 and 89.3 by the students practical value, fourth, handouts effective in improving student learning outcomes

Abstract

The Physics learning outcome as the standard of mastering learning concept did not reach the minimum passing standard yet. One of the causal factors is the lower rank of interest and motivation which are influenced by the teachers method in delivering Physics learning material. Therefore, the researcher applied the laboratory-based learning with Physics Kit. This research heads for observing the influence of laboratory-based learning with Physics Kit by using Contextual Teaching Learning approach to the Physics learning outcome. The type of this research is a quasi experimental research. The analysis data technique used conversion of score to value, normality test, homogeneity test, and the test of two means comparison. Based on the research outcome, the researcher analyzed the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domain data. The research outcome showed the working hypothesis, there is a significant influence of laboratory-based learning application with Physics kit by using Contextual Teaching and Learning approach to the Physics learning outcome can be accepted with alpha 0.05

Abstract

Handout based on the model STM (Science Technology Society) can facilitate students to understand the physics material and apply the concept of physics in everyday life. The general objective of this research is to produce handout based on the model STM (Science Technology Society) is a valid, practical and effective for substance and phase change topic in grade VII junior high school. The research conducted is a Research and Development (R & D). Data collection instruments were: sheet of validation experts, practicality test sheet by physics teacher, practicality test sheets by students, and the test results in cognitive domain. The results of research are: 1) a valid handout based on the model STM (Science Technology Society) with validity value about 89,59; 2) practicality handout by teacher value about 89,6; 3) practicality handout by student responses value about 88,5 and 4) handout is effective to improve learning physics of outcome of students

Abstract

This research based of the a problem in teaching and learning proses with not apparent invisibility of interest in students to learn science. Based on these problems, resulting in student's learning outcomes is not maximized. By those reasons student worksheets oriented Science Technology Society (STM) is one of the learning materials that are considered effective to overcome these problems.Type of research is quasi- experimental research design. The population of this research is class XI of science program SMAN 1 Solok enrolled in the academic year 2013/2014. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique. The research instrument is the final test for cognitive learning outcomes, observation format for affective learning outcomes, rubric scoring for the psychomotor domain of learning outcomes.  Data obtained from the research were analyzed using  tes t to cognitive test and two average similarity to the affective and psychomotor domains. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of using student worksheets  oriented STM by integrating the value of character the ability of the student in the cognitive, affective , and psychomotor domains at the 95 % significance level

Abstract

The low of student’s achievement for physics learning in SMAN 15 Padang is caused by the lack of student activity in learning process. Constructivism is an approach which points the importance of building knowledge for student by participating actively in learning process. The using of teaching material such as student's worksheet in learning process can be support the learning activity. Student’s worksheet can direct the mindset and create student's independence in learning and finding knowledge. Therefore, a research has been implemented which aim is to know the influence of student’s construtivisme worksheet in creative productive learning towards to students physics learning outcome grade X SMAN 15 Padang. The population of quasi experiment research which design randomized control group only design are all of class X SMA Negeri 15 Padang that is registered in academic years 2013/2014. The technique of selecting sample is Cluster Random Sampling. Research shown that there is an influence of student’s construtivisme worksheet in creative productive learning towards to students physics learning outcome grade X SMAN 15 Padang quantitatively on significant level 0.05. So that the using of student’s construtivisme worksheet in creative productive learning can increase student’s learning outcome in kognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspecits

Abstract

This research based  on less students learning outcome on physics at school. One of the solution for this problem is through LKS application that oriented by Strategi Pembelajaran Peningkatan Kemampuan Berpikir (SPPKB). The purpose of this research is to observe the influence of LKS application that oriented by Strategi Pembelajaran Peningkatan Kemampuan Berpikir (SPPKB) to students learning outcome on physics in grade X of SMAN 8 Padang. The type of this research is quansi experiment with Randomized Control Group Only Design. The population of this research is grade X students of SMAN 8 Padang by using purposive sampling technique to take sample, where is X6 class as the experiment class and X8class as the control class. The data of this research is the learning outcome of cognitive, affective and psychomotor. The research instrument are objective test to the learning outcome of cognitive aspect, observation sheet to the learning outcome of affective aspect, and scoring rubric to the learning outcome of psychomotor aspect. The conclusion that can be take from the result of this research is there the influence of LKS application that oriented by Strategi Pembelajaran Peningkatan Kemampuan Berpikir (SPPKB) in students learning outcome on physics in grade X of SMAN 8 Padang in significant level 0,05

Abstract

Instructional materials integrate in schools have not character building. In other hand, the goverment mandates to integrate character ​​in school. The purpose of research is investigation implementasion effect of physics instructional materials with integration character building in the learning cycle 7E model to the learning outcomes of students on grade XI SMAN 4 Bukittinggi. The type of research is a quasi experimental with the randomized Only Control Group Design. The population of reseach was all class XI SMAN 4 Bukittinggi enrolled in 2013/2014 academic year. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique with XI IPA1 and class XI IPA2 chosen as samples. The research instrument are the objective test for cognitive learning outcomes, observation sheets to affective and psychomotor domains. Data analysis use t-test at the 0.05 significance level for the cognitive, affective and psychomotor. Abstract

A superior class as population of this research is All of 11th grade students in SMAN 6 Padang in academic 2013/2014 except IPA 1. Data of learning outcomes was data of this research. The mean equality test is a way to analyze the data. From of analyzis of data, we can conclude that there was a significance effect of using the worksheet based Learning Starts With A Question to learning outcome of 11th grade students in SMAN 6 Padang for domain cognitive, domain affective, and character values at significance level 5%

Abstract

The achievement of students competences (the integration between assessment’s aspect and characteristic) have not indicated the optimal result because there is no teaching material that integrates between the values of character and learning model. One way to overcome the problem is by making a teaching material as a module by using 5E cycle learning model. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of use an integrated module of character values in 5E cycle learning model toward physical competences students of the XI grade. The design of this research is quasi experimental research. The research uses randomized control group only design. The population of the research is grade XI IPA students of SMAN 7 Padang. In this research, the reseacher choose two classes to be given treatment. The research used purposive sampling technique so that it has been choosen XI IPA 5 as experimental class and XI IPA 4 as control class that each class consists of 40 students. In getting the cognitive aspect, the researcher does a test. Meanwhile, non test technique is done to get affective and psychomotor aspect. The data analysis is done by using t-test with significance level 0,05. Based on the result of the data analysis, it can be concluded that students competence in experimental class is higher than control class for three aspects of assessment. It can be said that the use of an integrated module of character values in 5E cycle learning model gives significant effect toward grade XI student of SMAN 7 Padang.
