Abstract

Learning science on Junior High School emphasized in integrated form which called by Integrated Science. Based on the observations, generally teachers are still experiencing difficulties in learning a whole load of material. One of solution that can be done is to design the Integrated Science Learning Devices which includes lesson plans, handouts, and worksheets. Under these conditions, the purpose of this research is to produce learning devices and determine the validity, practicalities and effectiveness of the Integrated Science Learning Devices in science subject of Junior High School grade VII. The type of this research is Research and Development. There are two objects in this research, including the Integrated Science Learning Devices in science subjects dan 27 people of seventh grade students. The result of this research are: first, the learning devices has high validity. Second, the design of Integrated Science Learning Devices are lesson plan, handout and worksheet. Third, the learning devices are practical for student and science teacher. And last, the learning devices are proven effective to increase student learning result

Abstract

The learning to make the students active, fun, and develop the character’s values need to be done. In reality, many students do not like Physics learning. The alternative solution that can be done is by applying  student worksheet which orientated to the genius learning strategy by integrating character’s values. Purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of student worksheet  that orientated to the genius learning strategy by integrating character’s values towards student’s achievement in  Physics learning in grade X of Senior High School Adabiah Padang. This research was a quasi experiment research. Randomized control group only design was the model of this research. The population of this research was all the students of grade X Senior High School Adabiah Padang who registered in the second semester in the year of 2013/2014. Sample of this research was gotten by applying purposive sampling, two classes was choosen that was X6 as experiment class and X5 as control class. The instrument was test for cognitive domain, observation sheet for affective domain, and worksheet’s assessment for psikomotor domain. The data analysis use compare mean test that was test t in the real level 0,05. The result of research showed that the mean of students in experiment class in each domain was higher than control class. It was the effect of using student worksheet that orientated tho the genius learning strategy by applying character’s values towards student’s achievement in learning Physics. It can be concluded that student worksheet which orientated to the genius learning strategy by applying character’s values towards student’s achievement in Physics learning was influential in teaching and learning process in grade X of SMA Adabiah Padang

Abstract

Learning science problem in junior high school is lack of students understanding towards physics concept because limited examples of the application of the concepts explained by the teacher. Therefore, researchers are trying to look at the influence of learning materials oriented cooperative learning models examples of non examples to the learning outcome of the students in grade VIII of SMP Negeri 16 Kerinci. The type  research  is quasi-exsperimental research and design is randomized control group only design. The population of the research was all students grade VIII in SMP Negeri 16 Kerinci which consists of four local. Sample was selected by applying cluster random sampling technique. The research data a learning outcome in cognitive aspect and affective aspect. The data was analyzed by hypothesis test by equality test of two averages which use t test. This research conclude that there is influence of learning materials oriented cooperative learning models examples of non examples to the learning outcome of the students in grade VIII of SMP Negeri 16 Kerinci for cognitive and affective aspect at significance level 5%

Abstract

Learning model that is less engaging students in the learning process and the low reading interest of students make the learning process runs less effective. It is characterized by student learning outcomes that are lower than the expected maximum graduation criteria. To overcome these problems, the use of media images on brochures learning model applied in problem based learning. The Type of this research is quasi experiment  with design is randomized control group only. Population of this research is all class XI MIA  who registered in the 1st half 2014/2015 academic year. Samples were taken at random cluster sampling technique. The research instrument are the ultimate test for cognitive, observation format, self assessment sheet and peer assessment sheet for affective domain of learning outcomes, and performance assessment rubric and portofolio assessment sheet for psychomotor learning outcomes. The results showed that the average outcomes of learning physics class experiment better than the control class for the third domain of the real level of 0.05. This indicates that the picture effectively used to improve student learning outcomes physics

Abstract

Science learning should be do in process approach because science is not only the collection of fact but also process of discovery, so in the learning have to directed to application of the scientific method. An alternatif solution to solve this problem was to apply the student worksheet based POE (Predict, Observe and Explain). The purpose of this research was to find the effect of application student worksheet based POE in sciences learning the competence of students class VII SMPN 5 Padang. Type of this research was the quasi experiment with randomized control group only design. The population in this research were the students grade VII SMP 5 Padang who were registered in the 2014/2015 academic year. Sampling technique  was cluster random  sampling. Instruments of this research are test sheets of  learning  outcomes  for competence of cognitive, observation sheets for competence of attitudes, and skills assessment sheet for competence of skills.  The data of  three competences was analyzed and tried hypothesis use the chi squared. The result of hipotesys test for competence of cognitive, attitude and skill are x2count ≤ x2table at significance level 0,05 and dk 1 . Thus, it can be concluded that application student worksheet based POE in sciences learning the competence of students class VII SMPN 5 Padang give not signifikan effect

Abstract

Sciences learning material should be conducted in integrated form, but reality show that learning is still separated in the junior high school. The learning material which is used in printed form in the school. On the other hand, learning material doesn’t integrate characther values yet. Solution to solve this problem is to implement integrated sciences student worksheet by integrating character values based on ICT. Learning material on student worksheet consist of characteristic of materials, digestive system, additive and addictive substance. The purpose of this research is to investigate effect of integrated sciences student worksheet by integrating character values based on ICT toward students competence grade VIII in SMPN 1 Padang. The type of this research is a quasi experimental by randomized control group only design. The population of this research are students grade VIII in SMPN 1 Padang in academic year 2014/2015. As samples in this research are students grade VIII.F as experiment group and grade VIII.G as control group. Instrument to collect data consist of written test sheet of student learning outcome, observation sheet of student attitude, and performance sheet of student skill. Data analyses use compare mean test. Based on analyses of data can be stated, there are two research results. First, students competence in learning by using integrated sciences student worksheet by integrating the character values based on ICT on knowledge, attitude, and skill domain respectly 82.50, 82.87, and 83.45. Second, the use integrated sciences student worksheet by integrating the character values based on ICT on characteristic of materials, digestive system, additive and addictive substance gives significant effect toward students competence grade VIII in SMPN 1 Padang at significant level 95%

Abstract

This study is based on facts on the ground in general, one of which students are less develop problem solving skills and develop science process skills in physics. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the application modules in discovery learning physics learning on learning outcomes of students of class X of SMAN 1 Kubung Kabupaten Solok. Moreover, it can increase the motivation and creativity of students in learning and apply it in everyday life. This study is a kind of quasi-experimental design with randomized control group only design. Population is a class X of SMAN 1 Kubung Kabupaten Solok registered in the 1st 2014/2015 academic year. Sampling used random cluster sampling technique. Samples are Xipa2 class as a class control and Xipa1 class as a class experiment. The research data is the result of learning on aspects of knowledge, attitudes and skills. The research instrument was the final test, observation and performance assessment sheet.Based on data analysis of learning outcomes on average in the aspect of knowledge is 79.23 to 74.67 for the experimental class and control class. In the aspect of attitude is 82.17 to 78.11 for the experimental class and control class. Furthermore, in the aspect of the skills acquired 76.93 to 74.11 for the experimental class and control class. After the t test for two sample groups on aspects of knowledge gained t = 1.86 is greater than table = 1.67. In the aspect of attitude obtained t = 3.15 is greater than 1.67 and table =. in the aspect of skills obtained t = 1.68 is greater than table = 1.67. Conclusion of the study is the hypothesis that there is a significant impact on the use of the module in the learning discovery learning on learning outcomes of physics in the first half of the tenth grade high school SMAN 1 Kubung Kabupaten Solok can be accepted on the real level of 0.05

Abstract

This research described the application of Problem Based Learning (PBL) with authentic assessment to achieve the student’s competence in natural science. This research was conducted in SMPN 4 Kubung with taking learning material about vibration, wave, sound, and light. This research was done to solve the problem about the implementation of teacher centered learning. The students just write and listen what is presented by teacher so it can affect to the student competence. Type of research was quasy experimental research with randomized control group only design. The population were the students grade VIII SMPN 4 Kubung in the 2014/2015 academic year with sampling technique was purposive sampling. This research used three instruments, those are test sheet of knowledge competence, self assessment sheet of attitude competence, and performance sheet of skill competence. The result of this research could be presented based on data analysis. First, the class which use PBL models get average value in knowledge competence, attitude competence, and skill competence respectively 80.42, 89.29, and 91.96. Second, the use of PBL models has given significant effect toward science competency of students grade VIII  SMPN 4 Kubung

Abstract

This research is motivated not optimal learning activities of students. Learning activities have not been able to improve the ability of learners to be able to think independently, so that learning becomes meaningful. This research aimed to investigate the differences of learners using experiments based learning and physics modeling based learning in setting the scientific approach. This research is a quasi-experimental research with the design of randomized control group design only.Sampling used purposive sampling technique. Results of research on the experimental class 1 gained an average of competence knowledge = 75.75 and the experimental class 2 = 70.84, competence experimental attitude in class 1 = 84.94 and the experimental class 2 = 81.69, competency skills in experimental class 1 = 84.25 and the experimental class 2 = 81.50. After t test for second grade sample on the competence of knowledge, attitudes, and skills respectively 10.97, 7.39, 4.23 greater than the table = 1.66. It can be concluded that the working hypothesis which says "There is a significant difference between the use of learner competence-based learning and learning experimental physics-based modeling in setting the scientific approach in Senior High School grade X” the real level 0,05

Abstract

Integrated students competence is important in 2013 curriculum. In fact, integration of students competence does not conducted yet. One of the effort that can be done to solve the problem was to apply students worksheet by integrating the various of material in Physics learning. This students worksheet was predicted effective to increase Physics competence of students. The purpose of this research was to know the effect of using students worksheet by integrating Mathematics, Science, Technology, Disaster, and Character value (MSTDC) at topics of motion, gravitation, and energy based on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) toward Physics competence of students at eleventh class of MIA SMAN 1 Padang. The design of Quasi experiment research was randomized control group only design. Population of  research was students at eleventh class of MIA SMAN 1 Padang that listed in 2014/2015 learned years. Sample was gotten with purpossive sampling technique. Data of research includes knowledge, attitude, and skill domain. This data were analyzed by applying compare mean test. Based on the result of data analysis can be stated two of research results. First, the competence of students used ICT students worksheet by integrating MSTDC had mean value at knowledge, attitude, and skill domain respectly 91.38; 89.45;91.67. Second, the use of ICT students worksheet by integrating MSTDC at topics of, gravitation, and energy give significant effect toward Physics competence of students at eleventh class of MIA SMAN 1 Padang  on the real  level  of  0,05.
